Your primary focus will be on housing and benefit-related support for vulnerable adults aged 16 and over who are referred to the service.
You will support staff in managing their caseloads, conducting regular supervisions, and ensuring effective service delivery.

With excellent knowledge of the signs, symptoms, and treatments of mental illness, you will be confident in assessing when someone's mental health is deteriorating and taking appropriate action to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
In addition, you will demonstrate a sound understanding of health and safety requirements when working in the community, as well as welfare benefits entitlements relevant to the client group. You will actively promote equality, diversity, dignity, and choice in your work, respecting the rights of every service user. About the Role
The Refugee and Migrant Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our Resettlement Department. As part of our mission to assist refugees and migrants in overcoming barriers to integration, this role will play a key part in helping newly arrived refugees settle into their new communities with confidence and independence.
RMC is a well-established charity with over 25 years of experience working with vulnerable refugees and migrants. We provide a range of services, including immigration advice, housing support, welfare assistance, and employment guidance. Our work ensures that refugees and migrants receive the necessary support to become equal citizens in the UK.
Purpose of the Role
The Family Support Worker will support newly arrived refugees and their families, enabling them to navigate the complex challenges of settling into the UK. Working closely with our multi-skilled resettlement team, you will deliver holistic support to refugees across a range of services, including welfare benefits, housing, health, education, and employment. You will also play a key role in empowering families to build their confidence, independence, and long-term integration into the community.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Client Support & Case Management:
- Manage a caseload of newly arrived refugee families, providing tailored support to meet their specific needs.
- Conduct home visits and orientation sessions to welcome clients to their new community and complete holistic needs assessments.
- Develop Personal Integration Plans for each household on a quarterly basis, helping them set goals for long-term independence.
- Coordinate support with external agencies and specialists to address clients’ needs, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Support families with housing, welfare benefits, education, healthcare, and employment.
- Assist with registration for healthcare services (GPs, dentists, opticians) and support with medical assessments.

Role purpose
The Client Support Worker (Crisis Navigator) will work with clients to provide non-judgemental, person-centred support. The work undertaken will be led by the different needs of each client, but will include: liaising with statutory services and advocating for clients’ needs to be met, for example with housing teams, social care, mental health services, etc.; support with form filling; support with grants, welfare benefits and income maximisation; emergency applications; supporting with emotional needs and psychoeducation.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of individuals, taking referrals from their legal colleagues. This will involve a combination of immediate intervention (for example, access to a medication prescription upon release from custody), and longer-term work, planned in partnership with clients. Preventative work will be actively encouraged, supporting clients to address needs before crisis point wherever possible – both through direct work and through referrals and signposting.
Due to the nature of the work, if successful, you will need to have an up-to-date DBS check completed prior to undertaking unsupervised client work.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage, onboard and support a caseload of individuals autonomously

Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, the Family Linx Service has been co-produced with parents, carers, and autistic children and young people. Now in its seventh year, the service provides vital support to families with autistic children aged up to 12—both before and after diagnosis.

Purpose of the Post
To work as part of our Homeless Services Team, providing tailored support to asylum seekers and newly recognised refugees, helping them prepare for life in the UK, avoid crisis situations, and reduce the risk of homelessness and rough sleeping. The postholder will deliver one-to-one advice, guidance, and group information sessions within Greater Together Manchester’s Lifeskills programme, embedding support in trusted community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual support to asylum seekers and new refugees, including:
- Advice and guidance on housing, welfare benefits, health, employment, and education.
- Support with paperwork, applications, and referrals to statutory/voluntary services.
- Crisis prevention planning for those leaving asylum accommodation.
- Facilitate group information sessions at Lifeskills activities (e.g. football, workshops), covering:
- Rights and responsibilities after gaining refugee status.
- Access to housing and homelessness prevention.
- Health and wellbeing, including GP registration.
- Financial literacy, banking, and benefits.
- Employment and education pathways.
- Build trust and positive relationships with participants, creating safe spaces for learning and support.
- Act as a link between participants and local statutory/voluntary organisations, strengthening pathways into services.
- Support individuals moved outside Manchester to connect with appropriate services in their new location.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and outcomes achieved, in line with grant monitoring requirements.

As Housing Support Worker, the successful applicant will be expected to:
- Process referrals according to local procedures

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
1 Provide information, advice and support to parents/carers of disabled children individually and in group sessions

Working primarily from Worthing Library, you will deliver face-to-face sessions using evidence-based interventions to engage, educate and empower young people around issues affecting their emotional wellbeing.

- Offer 7 sessions of support to each young person, including initial needs assessment and weekly sessions

We're looking for an LGBTQ+ drug and alcohol recovery worker to jin our Antidote drug and alcohol service.
London Friend’s Antidote service provides high quality drug & alcohol psycho-social treatment and support to LGBTQ+ people utilising harm reduction & abstinence-based methods. Antidote is a part of London Friend which aims to support and promote health & wellbeing for LGBTQ+ people living in the London area.
We are working in partnership delivering substance misuse treatment and support in the London Boroughs of the City of London and Hackney. This is led by Turning Point, and in partnership with Mind in the City, Hackney, and Waltham Forest. London Friend is the LGBTQ+ lead for the partnership.
Recovery support workers provide support to LGBTQ+ people experiencing difficulties with drug or alcohol use, including supporting those engaged in chemsex, and incorporating HIV prevention initiatives and sexual health support. They will hold a caseload of clients and be responsible for their assessment, case planning, review, and ongoing care. They will deliver group programmes and provide outreach to LGBTQ+ people in community settings including local sexual health clinics.
The postholder will be employed by London Friend and work within a multi-agency team based in the two Boroughs and local satellite locations including sexual health services. They will also assist with the delivery of Antidote’s services, including our walk-in clinics and group programmes, with a priority on identifying and supporting residents of the City of London and Hackney.
The post-holder will take an active anti-discriminatory, anti-racism and trans-inclusive approach around all areas of work and will be an active member of both London Friend and the City and Hackney Recovery Partnership and will support with the aims & objectives of both services.
