ZAKKI is a social startup focusing on creating an inclusive community for the elderly and people with disabilities. Our mission is to facilitate alms and donations collection and deployment to help elderly people who still working in the informal sector to get better livelihood through micro-business management helps and giving them the exposure of greater market.

This candidate will build a clean and effective user experience platform. By working cross-functional, this candidate will understand needs from the product management, engineering, and business stakeholders and will build solutions that fit those needs.

For UX/UI volunteers, the task will be to design both PWA Responsive Website and mobile apps, which will then serve as the basis for software developer volunteers working on the project.

Requirement :
 • Fond to design, familiar with Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop
 • Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Figma)
 • Abundance with idea and initiative working as a team
 • Active, helpful, and collaborative person (not passive person)
 • Good time-management skills
 • Communicative (good communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders)
 •  High proficiency in English both verbal and writing
 •  Familiar with Google Workspace (Google Suite; Google Docs, Google Sheet, Google Forms, Google Meet).
 •  Preferred basic knowledge on Front End Developer (e.g. HTML, CSS) and or have basic knowledge on Games Development Platform (Ionic, PyGame, Unity, C++, Java)

Volunteer Coordinator role

Adoption Matters is a registered children’s charity and one of the largest voluntary adoption agencies in the UK. We recruit, train, support individuals and families as adopters, offer them ongoing support, and training for as long as they need it. We also provide support to birth families and adopted adults. We are the ONLY adoption service in the North West rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted for the last five consecutive inspections. About the role

Are you the right person for the role?

The Volunteer Coordinator undertakes a wide range of tasks, including:

· Dealing with queries from potential new volunteers who get in touch

· Being the first point of contact for our existing volunteers and answering general queries

· Championing volunteer engagement

· Initially, this role will support the initial contact of volunteers

· Fundraising support at the annual Garden Party picnic event

· Support at community events – fun runs, sponsor events

· Promotion of our charity lottery

· Possible involvement with arrangements of/attendance at large events, e.g. golf days, charity dinners

· Liaising with Volunteer Co-ordinator and Fundraising and Relationship Manager about events

· Sharing ideas about fundraising activities

Female English Support Volunteer – Help Refugee Women Thrive

Location: Maidstone or Folkestone
Commitment: Around 2 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM)

About the Role

Language is one of the biggest barriers refugees face when starting a new life in the UK. By volunteering, you’ll provide a safe, friendly space for women to practise English, learn useful phrases for everyday life, and gain the confidence to navigate their new community.

You’ll work one-to-one or with small family groups in their homes, adapting activities to suit their needs. From informal conversations to creative exercises, you’ll make learning fun and practical.

What You’ll Do

• Support conversational English, reading, and writing
• Introduce everyday vocabulary (e.g., shopping, visiting a pharmacy)
• Encourage confidence and independence through engaging activities
• Work under the guidance of our ESOL Tutor and Resettlement Worker

Medaille Trust is one of the leading providers of support to survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking in the UK. We are working to provide refuge and freedom for survivors and fighting to see slavery in all its forms become a thing of the past. The need for this work has never been higher, there are more than 50 million estimated victims of modern slavery worldwide, and over 120,000 potential victims in the UK.

We operate ten safe houses and five outreach hubs, staffed round the clock by specialist staff, working with more than 600 men, women and dependent children each year.  We work to raise awareness in the UK and to provide preventive work in source countries. Our Pursue work helps survivors to engage with police and within the legal system to seek justice and to secure convictions against their perpetrators.

This role is based in the Thanet area.

We are looking for an educational volunteer who can help empower service users in the safe house environment through informal English language support. Tasks will include:

•Listening to service users read

•Play games such as scrabble and wordsearches to help them learn in an informal and relaxed way

•Work through every-day scenarios like booking a GP appointment, communicating in a shop, purchasing train tickets

•Offering a safe and comfortable experience for all service users, showing awareness of service users’ varying physical and mental well-being needs

Network meetings are held in Heanor on Wednesday evenings between 19:30-21:00 during school term time although these are normally reduced to twice monthly in winter. It is important for applicants to generally be able to attend these meetings.

Interviews will be held around similar times to the regular meetings on Wednesday evenings in Heanor.

Induction evenings will be held at same time and location as the regular meetings and an existing volunteer will provide direct support as a Buddy.
