Summary of job:
To work to core community development principles with community empowerment central to all work; - Supporting residents and local communities to play an active role in their community - and encouraging resident involvement in decision making - promoting integration and cohesion within and between communities in the Welland area.
This post will support local groups and organisations to initiate and develop services that enable the community to build their own capacity.

• We are looking for someone who is passionate about engaging with local communities and coproduction and can quickly establish a network of contacts with key workers in the community from the public, private and voluntary sectors. We want someone who can work with the local community to support and encourage their involvement in local needs led service development including establishment of relationships and mechanisms that support effective consultation and engagement with the local community to support meaningful involvement in decision making processes for the development of services.

• Educated to level 3 or above with a recognised professional qualification in community engagement/development work, health, education, or equivalent experience within these fields.
• Experience of recruiting, managing, and retaining volunteers.
• An understanding of how social exclusion, deprivation and marginalisation impacts upon communities, families, and individuals.
• The ability to produce good quality written reports and materials.
• Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to establish productive relationships with elected members, external organisations and local residents;
• Experience of establishing and supporting the development of volunteer led committees/ steering groups.
• Understand the importance and principles of community involvement, participation and co-production.

As Finance Manager, you’ll play a central role in ensuring the integrity of our financial processes and systems, leading on fund and tax management, including relevant reporting and compliance.
You’ll oversee the administration and analysis of restricted and designated funds, ensuring accurate accounting and adherence to donor agreements and pump prime arrangements. FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.
Working within experienced and committed teams, the Behaviour Change Worker will deliver trauma responsive interventions including one to one support and group work to prevent harm.
FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables.
There is a requirement for evening working – approximately once per week to deliver group work interventions. There may be a requirement to work weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete specialist risk assessments according to service guidelines and Respect standards, alongside developing personalised safety and support plans for programme participants.
- Deliver one to one specialist behaviour change interventions for people with vulnerabilities, complex or multiple needs and those who require additional support to access our services.
- Co-facilitate short term and long-term group work, providing a Respect accredited DVPP (Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme) programme.
- Promote the service externally and ensure our interventions are accessible.
- Provide proactive, trauma responsive and holistic support, with a focus on increasing victim safety and reducing the risk posed by a perpetrator.
- Work within a multi-agency framework to effect change, manage risk and ensure safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children is paramount.
- Offer professional consultancy, training and advice to other agencies on working with perpetrators.
- To work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the safety of the victim is held central.
- Represent the service user voice in a multi-agency context.
- Attend Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) and Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) meetings as required.

As a Dementia Adviser, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives.
The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs. You will offer support to your clients in a variety of ways, whether in the client's own home, or at other locations in the community, face to face, by phone, letter, or email. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals.
You will be supporting people living in the western border of Newcastle upon Tyne along the Tyne Valley to the Cumbrian border in the west, south to the border with Co. Durham and north to the Scottish border. Some parts of the area are remote, rural communities and you will need to be able to travel throughout the area.

Your role as a Dementia Adviser will include
- Providing a person-centred and outcomes focused information, advice and support service to people affected by dementia and their carers.
- Identifying people’s needs and the services they may wish to access, give advice about how to live well with dementia and support the improvement of their sense of wellbeing.
- Working from home, but you will be spending time in the community completing home visits, promoting our service at events and occasionally giving dementia awareness talks to groups
- It would be preferable for the post holder to work in the area and travel expenses are only paid for travel within the area specified.
- Working with a variety of other professionals, such as GPs, memory clinic staff and other health and social care services.

Who we are
The Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI) is an independent charity established in 1967. For over 57 years, we have promoted our vision of a society in which people can live safely and are treated with equal dignity and respect, regardless of where they are from or how they came to the UK. To achieve this, we provide legal advice, representation and holistic support to migrants experiencing injustice, poverty, and discrimination; we undertake parliamentary advocacy and expert policy analysis; we speak out and challenge damaging and discriminatory media narratives about immigration; we use law as a tool of resistance; we work in solidarity with migrants and grassroots groups, and we build campaigns that work towards a fairer approach in immigration and asylum law and policy. We root all aspects of our work in humanity, compassion, anti-oppression and anti-racist values, taking an approach that radically challenges the way that things are to build a new and better world for migrants.
Role purpose
This is a new role, where the director will bring together the work of the Advocacy and the Communications teams to lead JCWI's campaigns. The Director leads JCWI’s campaigns and community organising; policy and parliamentary advocacy; working in alignment with directly impacted communities and partners within and beyond the migration sector. The Director builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensures the organisation’s collective expertise influences political debates and the public narrative on migrants’ rights and racial justice.
The role provides strategic leadership for JCWI’s campaigns to drive forward positive change for migrant rights in an increasingly hostile political climate, and supports a wide range of work building campaigns, coalitions and networks to advance migrant justice, ensuring that JCWI is a generous and collaborative partner, working in solidarity with all groups, including grassroots and community groups, unions, faith groups and NGOs.
The Director provides line management and strategic leadership to the Advocacy and Communications Team, overseeing the direction of the team, overseeing the teams' work and ensuring close, collaborative working relationships across all teams.
The Director is a lead spokesperson for the organisation, representing JCWI and our values at public forums, in the media and within coalitions. They will set the narrative and agenda for public discourse on migrant rights and border reform, lead the organisation’s long-term digital outreach and engagement work and support the team to create compelling and accessible content, driving traffic to our digital channels and converting this into successful supporter and donor recruitment and engagement strategies. They maintain the visibility of JCWI and its messages and protect & promote JCWI’s reputation as a leading voice in the discourse on migration, rights, and racial justice in the UK.

- Represent JCWI at meetings and events with key decision makers, including parliamentarians, policymakers and other organisations in the sector, to make the case for policy change, influence narratives, and hold those in power to account in solidarity with communities at the sharpest end of UK immigration controls

What you’ll be doing:
- Running our social media channels day-to-day (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Writing, filming, editing, and designing original content that tells our story
- Planning and delivering content for fundraising campaigns and events
- Engaging with our community — responding to messages, comments, and building relationships
- Working closely with our marketing team and supporting our external ad agency
- Tracking performance and using insights to keep improving
- Staying ahead of trends and keeping our content fresh, fun, and impactful
What we’re looking for:
- A natural storyteller who knows how to turn ideas into powerful posts
- Confident with Canva, Adobe, or similar tools for editing video and visuals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing social media accounts — bonus if it’s for a cause or charity
- Highly organised and comfortable juggling multiple projects
- A self-starter with creative flair and a good sense of what grabs attention
- Ideally, you’ve worked in the charity or non-profit space before

We are looking for a talented Shop Manager who is an enthusiastic self-starter, with a passion for charity retail, to manage our Warwick shop on a full time (37.5 hours per week) basis.
Who we are
Relate is a leading relationships service, offering counselling, information, mediation and support to individuals, couples and families from all backgrounds and sexualities, at all stages of life. We also provide expert training for relationship support practitioners.
Relate is now part of the family charity, Family Action. Supporting people through change, challenge or crisis, we protect children, support young people and adults, and offer direct, practical help to families and communities. It’s what we’ve done for over 150 years. We see first-hand the power of family to shape lives, for better or worse, so we speak up for the importance of family in national and local policymaking, amplify family voices and represent the changing needs of families in the UK today. With Relate at Family Action, we work to support the creation of secure foundations for children and young people, and safe, supportive relationships for all.
We currently manage 11 shops located within 5 regions across the UK. Our shops generate income to support the work of Relate. The shops are managed by paid Shop Managers, supported by Assistant Shop Managers/Sessional Workers (Retail Assistants) and our amazing Shop Volunteers.
What are we looking for?

You will be responsible for the creation of a warm and welcoming environment for customers, volunteers and donors, with a view to maximising sales, profits and Gift Aid to support the work of Relate at Family Action.
The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly for 37.5 hours each week (5 days per week including Weekends) across a 7 day trading week, Monday to Sunday.
