You'll be part of the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Services (ECFWS) – a partnership between Barnardo's and HCRG, delivering integrated early intervention services for children and families aged 0–19 (up to 25 with SEND).

Some of the Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate service and subcontractor meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, distributing papers, and taking accurate minutes with clear actions (in-person or via Teams).
• Manage and arrange mandatory training for Barnardo's colleagues, ensuring compliance and providing regular updates to service leads.
• Liaise across teams to support quality and competency compliance.
• Lead internal communications within the service.
• Update FEEE2 eligibility and assign caseloads using monthly ECC reports on Systm1.
• Produce regular FEEE2 reports from service user records and ECC data.
• Maintain service assets and resources, including IT equipment, staff contact lists, and training documentation.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven administrative experience, ideally within the charity or healthcare sector.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience supporting meetings and taking comprehensive minutes.
• Skilled in managing shared mailboxes and providing general administrative support.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• A proactive and collaborative team player.

You will join a small research team who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the field of perinatal mental health. What you’ll do

You will support the delivery of the Linking Loss project, a study focused on co-producing and evaluating a peer-led, group intervention that includes marginalised communities experiencing mental health difficulties following early pregnancy loss. Working under the supervision of the Research Programme Coordinator, and alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes the Principal and Co-Investigators, parent participation research workers, and postgraduate students, you will contribute to a range of research activities. These include recruiting participants, conducting qualitative interviews with birthing parents, liaising with NHS services, managing data in line with GDPR and ethical guidelines, and ensuring adherence to study protocols.

What you’ll bring

We welcome applications from individuals from marginalised communities or with lived experience of mental health difficulties following early pregnancy loss.

You will have a background in psychology or a related field, with experience in clinical or qualitative research involving parents and young children, particularly within mental health contexts.

Essential skills and experience:

• Clinical research experience in perinatal mental health, health psychology, or health inequalities.
• Proficiency in collecting, analysing, and managing qualitative data.
• Strong understanding of participant and patient confidentiality and ethical research practices.
• Experience in effectively engaging parents as participants in research studies.

Key details

Hours: Part-time (21 hours per week) – including Wednesdays.

Salary: £29,904 per annum FTE, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.

Location: Hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours, either at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH) or our Northern Hub (Huckletree, The Express Building, 9 Great Ancoats Street, Manchester M4 5AD).

Contract type: Fixed-term, 9 months – starting as soon as possible.

· Complete bank and cash reconciliations in a timely manner.

· Support the team with financial reporting and Gift Aid claims.

· Train and support staff in using the Xero accounting system.

>CRM

· Maintain and update the Beacon CRM with fundraising data.

· Process donations, pledges, and membership scheme payments.

· Ensure all contact records are accurate and GDPR compliant.

· Monitor data quality and lead on CRM system improvements.

>Administration

· Provide basic IT support and manage digital system logins.

Requirements 

· Experience with financial systems like Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.

· Proven experience using not-for-profit CRM databases (e.g., Beacon) - or equivalent in the commercial/public sector
