About this key role
As an integral part of an energetic and highly motivated team, our successful candidate will be responsible for engaging, motivating, advocating for, and supporting a caseload of young people experiencing a range of barriers, including involvement with the Criminal Justice System, gang involvement/ risk of, substance misuse and/or learning difficulties to achieve set engagement and employment targets.
You will achieve this by developing and delivering engaging one-to-one and group customised support that will enable young people to overcome their employment and wider barriers as well as helping them to progress with their personal goals and ambitions. We will also count on you to engage employers and to develop and maintain effective working relationships with them and to work collaboratively with local agencies.
What we are looking for
- Experience of working on a target driven project, and a proven ability to manage a caseload and achieve individual set targets for engagement, training, apprenticeship and employment targets
- Experience of engaging young people via outreach and promotion
- Level 3 Advice and Guidance qualification or equivalent
- The ability to engage and support young people who face multiple and complex barriers to employment
- In-depth knowledge of the issues faced by the client group in accessing and sustaining employment
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written
- A flexible, professional and adaptable approach to your work

About the role:
This role is based at our Coventry office with the option of hybrid working from home. Travel across the area is required, travelling time is within working hours & expenses are reimbursed. The hours for this role are Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8am to 4pm, Wednesday 12noon to 8pm & Saturday 9am to 5pm.
As a Caseworker you will:
- Effectively managing a caseload, delivering excellent services via telephone, video call and in person to support service users
- Assessing need and risk at initial contact and on an on-going basis
- Developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans for those affected by crime, who accept ongoing support. Support will include providing resources, interventions, and information to all service users
- Helping service users build healthy coping mechanisms and providing practical support and information
- Identifying and providing action to safeguarding concerns
- Working collaboratively with key partners
- Using a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential records and contributing to monitoring information including the collection of outcomes
- Delivering awareness raising sessions on the impact of crime to partner agencies and community groups and participating in community events.
You will need:
- An understanding of the impact of crime
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- A proven track record of successfully delivering services and working directly within a statutory, voluntary or multi agency setting(s)

About the role:
This role is based in our Islington office with flexibility of hybrid working. The role requires travelling to other VS offices across London
As a Children and Young Persons Support Worker (CYP Domestic Violence Advocate), you will be required to:
- Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments and ensure each CYP receives an individual tailored support package that fully meets their identified needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Provide one to one support to children and young people living in families affected by domestic abuse.
- Effectively manage a caseload of different risk level cases of approx. 12-15 young people and provide specialist support to reduce the risk and increase safety
- Review the assessment of risk on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate and immediate action is taken in respect of any CYP facing significant harm, making the necessary referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes as required given the legal framework relating to the protection of children and the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board.
- To consult with and involve children and young people in making decisions about themselves and the development of the service.
- Establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing, with the intention of supporting children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse. Attend meetings as required.
- To advocate on behalf of children and young people with experience of domestic abuse to ensure the diverse needs of children and young people using the service are met
- Experience of delivering effective multi-agency and partnership work, including building relationships with statutory and voluntary CYP service providers
- Effective organisational skills, including experience with planning, prioritising, managing crises and a caseload, and maintaining accurate and confidential case records

About this key role
As a Specialist Caseworker, you will provide peer supervisory support to the team within the wider hospital-based services, which includes deputising for the Senior Caseworker when required, and support the Data Coordinator and Senior Caseworker with the collation of information and data for project monitoring purposes. You will develop and maintain an up-to-date and accurate resource of suitable onward referrals and develop and maintain strong relationships with both clinicians and hospital staff and with other services in the hospital, i.e. CAMHS, IDVA, COMPASS.
We will count on you to identify and assess young victims of violence, producing support and risk management plans based on these assessments, and to provide support, advice and advocacy for children, young people and their families as they plan to be discharged from hospital back into the community. You will also deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will see you provide practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options, benefits work, debt advice, and appearing in court.
What we are looking for
• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children
• Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy
• Substantial experience of assessing the needs of young people at risk of significant harm

We are now looking for looking for an experienced and dynamic Housing Caseworker (Young People) to join our highly successful Advice Casework Service.
The Advice Casework Service provides trauma-informed, intersectional, woman-centred, rights and strengths-based advocacy and advice that supports survivors on their unique journey of healing and growth. The work is delivered through a commitment to an anti-oppressive, feminist framework that strives to address additional barriers and meet the diverse range of survivors needs, understanding the specific support needs of each survivor. We are passionate about social justice and being part of dismantling systems and structures which oppress survivors, and Caseworkers play a key role in identifying current issues affecting survivors in London and opportunities for change.
As a Caseworker you will work with young women (18-30) who have experienced any form of violence against women and girls (VAWG), providing medium and long-term practical, emotional and advocacy support. You will amplify young women’s voices and create a non-judgemental and creative space where survivors are free to be their authentic selves, safely explore their rights, options and impact of their experiences, and make informed choices about their future. You will manage a caseload of young women, as well as lead in delivering our one-off drop-in specialist practical support to sessions to young women as part of the Voice and Choice Project.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing specialist advocacy support to young people, have an excellent insight into the needs of survivors of VAWG and to be passionate about delivering creative face-to-face sessions to young people. The Hummingbird Project is a youth-centred organisation that aims to provide trauma-informed services and promote youth-led action that is underpinned by our shared belief in human rights.

About the Role
The Young Adult Support Worker will work as part of a team delivering an assessment, support and move-on service to vulnerable clients in supported accommodation. The successful candidate will have a caseload of 8 clients aged 18-25, in a male-only supported accommodation in Waltham Forest.
You will be required to work from our offices in Lambeth once a week approximately or as the business need arises. Your work will be underpinned by the Depaul Endeavour model of assets-based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim is to ensure that every client leaves a Depaul service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.
Working under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for a caseload of clients and share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service. In accommodation-based services, you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in a positive and successful move-on.
Key responsibilities include:
· You will carry a caseload of clients for whom you will be the named key worker, and you will also take joint responsibility with your team members for the well-being and day-to-day support of all clients in the services
· You will lead on risk and needs assessment and support planning for your key clients and contribute to ongoing needs and risk assessment of other clients in the service
· You will develop and implement SMART outcomes based support plans for your key clients
· You will deliver one-to-one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with.
· You will proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the well-being of Depaul clients following data protection and information sharing protocols.

About this key role
As our specialist worker you will provide peer supervisory support to the team within the wider hospital based services, which includes deputising for the Senior Caseworker, and supporting the Data Coordinator and Senior Caseworker with the collation of information and data for project monitoring purposes. We will also count on you to develop and maintain strong relationships with clinicians and hospital staff, while also identifying onward referral pathways with other services in the hospital such as CAMHS, IDVA, COMPASS and other statutory and voluntary sectors in the community.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will also help to identify and assess young victims of violence and to provide support, advice and advocacy for both them and their families as they plan to be discharged from hospital back into the community. - Experience of using support plans to enable people to successfully access support services.
- Substantial experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people.

This role will provide line management and support for a small team of Children and Young People (CYP) practitioners, each supporting a caseload of CYP displaying abusive and aggressive behaviours in their familial and other close relationships.
