About the Role
We are seeking additional experienced Associate Independent Investigating Officers (IO) for Complaints, to increase our capacity to respond to referrals from Local Authorities to provide an independent element to the formal Stage 2 investigations under the Children Act 1989.
The IO will lead investigations, and will give the complainant (who may be a child, young person or adult) the opportunity to express their view, ensure the child or young person’s rights and best interests are at the centre of the investigation and that the investigation/review process is open and transparent. They write a report on the investigation/review, which is submitted to the referring agency.
The Job Description document sets out the expectations for an Associate Independent Person for Complaints (IPC) who is approved by Coram Voice. IPCs are independent, freelance and responsible for their own work. Nevertheless, IPCs are accountable to the organisation for their professional standards and are expected to comply with Coram Voice Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines.
Please Note: the nature of associate work means that we cannot guarantee a regular amount of work, and complaints will be allocated dependent on the associate’s availability, location and the needs and demands of the individual case. Investigation work takes place Monday to Friday within working hours. This position is not suitable for applicants who already work or have commitments more than two days within the working week.

About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in two of our schools in West Midlands, currently delivering our Gateway programme and moving to our new Accelerate programme next school year. The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors and coaches, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of our programmes is optimised.
Role responsibilities
• Work directly with students in a professional and safe manner.
• Engage with school staff, your Programme Manager, and students in school to ensure that you have fully enrolled cohorts across both programmes.
• Assess student progress towards being able to make successful Key Stage 5 and university applications.
• Upload information onto the Salesforce database in a timely manner (training is provided).
• Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programmes.
• Present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on our programmes progress.
• Support the wider team by attending university site visits which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

The Opportunity
The postholder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our Aspiring Professionals Programme for our young people and for our volunteers and employer partners. Approximately 80% of this role will be allocated to providing administrative support for the mentoring (volunteering) provision with occasional in person support on events required.
1. Project Delivery Support
• Support the delivery of key projects including mentoring recruitment, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)/Protecting Vulnerable Group (PVG) checks, mentor matching, and mentor-related event provision.
• Support the delivery of key services delivered to participants and employer partners.

Key Responsibilites
This role will lead on the business development for the charity’s key initiatives. Reporting to the CEO, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Work with the CEO, Operations Director, and wider team to implement the strategy for securing income-generating partnerships for 2025-2029.
- Identify organisations and key individuals within them to develop new opportunities for partnerships across the UK.
- Build, develop and strengthen relationships that will lead to increased projects.

Fearless is the youth brand of Crimestoppers, offering young people access to non-judgemental information and advice about crime and criminality. The work of Fearless is focused on helping young people make informed decisions about reporting crime. As the Youth Outreach Worker for Kent, you will help young people to understand different crime topics and break down the barriers to reporting crime. This will be done through the delivery of workshops in schools and other youth settings. The Youth Outreach Worker will also build partnerships locally with other organisations, to provide a coordinated response to youth crime and exploitation across Kent.
In this role, you will:
· To deliver our Fearless and Bystander Approach programme for young people in Secondary Schools and youth settings across Kent and for the professionals working with those young people;
- Facilitating a bespoke Fearless workshop
- Ensuring the workshop links to the prevention needs of young people within Kent and surrounding areas.
· To build partnerships locally with: Secondary schools/academies, Pupil Referral Unit’s (PRU), youth agencies, Police, Local Authorities and other organisations
· Implement a robust evaluation method, including compiling statistics of the workshops and partnership work for internal and external reports.

About the Role

As our new Policy & Public Affairs Officer, you will play a key role in tracking policy developments, engaging with stakeholders, and supporting NYA’s public affairs work. You will help ensure that youth work is recognised at all levels of decision-making by producing compelling briefings, monitoring political activities, and supporting strategic events.
This role works within our Policy, Insights, and External Affairs Directorate, reporting directly to the Policy & Public Affairs Manager. Your work in this role will directly contribute to NYA’s mission to champion high-quality youth work across England.
As the role will involve direct work with young people NYA will follow its safer recruitment policy and the successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check prior to starting their employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and monitor policy developments, parliamentary activity, and government announcements to inform NYA’s advocacy efforts.
- Develop policy briefings, reports, consultation responses, and stakeholder communications to support NYA’s policy and public affairs work.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, public affairs contacts, and key stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and engagement.
- Support youth participation initiatives, helping young people contribute to policy discussions and decision-making.
- Assist in organising and attending policy forums, roundtables, and public affairs events to represent NYA and strengthen its influence.
- Work collaboratively across NYA teams to align policy efforts and enhance advocacy strategies.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- At least 2 years’ experience in policy or public affairs within a charity, government, or think tank, with strong knowledge of UK policy processes and Westminster.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to conduct research, analyse data, and present findings clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong time-management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with project management tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while building strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- A passion for policy and public affairs, highly motivated, and a commitment to NYA’s mission and values.

Our charity, the Jon Egging Trust, is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience of working with young people, to plan and deliver inspiring teamwork, leadership and employability programmes in North Wales. The role involves liaising with school staff, local partners (including the Military and local businesses) and volunteers to ensure programmes meet the needs of our young people and is supported by the Regional Manager, North Wales.
The successful candidate will be based from home with a requirement to travel to partner schools and business sites in and around Anglesey, Bangor and occasionally along the A55 corridor. Fuel expenses are paid and travel time is included as part of working hours. Working with secondary schools to provide early support programmes, core delivery time is usually within the school working day and during school terms only. All other working hours can be managed with flexibility by the post holder to ensure that all administrative tasks are completed as required.
