We are looking to enhance our team by recruiting a LGBTQ+ Youth Development and Wellbeing Worker. This will enable us to continue to deliver and expand the services we currently offer with a particular focus on work within Step Forward, youth/community services and local secondary schools.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people aged 11–25, especially those facing complex challenges or considered harder to reach.

This position needs to have flexibility to ensure services are offered at a time when young people can access them including daytimes, evenings and weekends where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

· Work with all young people, from a range of different backgrounds and with differing support needs with a particular focus on young LGBTQ+ people.

· Provide both 1-2-1 support and structured group activities which will help young people in their personal and social development.

· Lead on design and delivery of Step Out workshops and sessions to help young people develop self-confidence, self-esteem and life skills

· Develop positive working relationships with multi-disciplinary teams internally and in different external services

· Provide drop-in support and groups activities within the community with care experienced young people and those engaging in youth services

· Provide personal development and wellbeing projects during the Half Term and Summer Holidays

About You

We are looking for passionate, skilled professionals with the following:

· A recognised qualification or equivalent experience in youth work or relevant profession.

· An in-depth understanding of the issues affecting young Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and non-binary people and those young people questioning their sexuality and/or gender identity

· A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with young people, including those who identify as LGBTQ+.

· Experience of working in an organisation that provides support services to young people

· Ability to utilise personal lived experience appropriately to support young people who identify as LGBTQ+

· A proven track record of providing structured group activities which will help young people in their personal and social wellbeing.

· Experience of dealing with safeguarding concerns and following safeguarding procedures.

· Experience co-producing services with young people

· Creative and flexible approach to delivering services

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multi-agency teams

· Commitment to embracing diversity and supporting young people in Tower Hamlets, including care experienced young people and asylum seekers

• Sector Knowledge: An understanding of working within the substance misuse field and the associated health and social issues.

1. RELEVANT GENERAL OBJECTIVES

• To support the Youth Intervention Manager to plan, organise and deliver the Positive Futures Hucknall project, and work towards achieving all KPI targets set within the Holgate Academy Partnership Agreement.
• To support our young people within educational settings, specifically around behaviour interventions and working with those on the edge of exclusion, truanting and developing poor behaviour traits.
• To develop trusted professional relationships with young people to steer them to alternative positive outcomes through interventions, workshops and open access sport and to build aspirations.
• Work in unison with the Youth Intervention Manager to identify new potential partnerships and to manage existing ones through partner delivery and meetings.
• Act as a key contact point for referral partners to ensure regular updates on young people’s progress are shared.
• To provide signposting and advocacy for young people and families needing to access other services.
• To ensure all relevant Health & Safety and Child Protection/Safeguarding policies and legislation are adhered to.
• Work closely with the Safeguarding Manager to gain advice and report any safeguarding concerns relating to young people within the Positive Futures Programme. Support the review of a safeguarding reporting process.
• To deliver and assist in the development of the Positive Futures project, with the overarching aim of using youth work and sport to engage ‘at-risk’ young people in order to identify and support their individual needs and steer them towards education, training and employment.
• To undertake administrative duties including day to day management of:

- Activity registers.

- Provide regular monitoring and evaluation of delivery.

- Ensure all notes and timeline events are recorded per individual on Upshot.

- Regularly collect surveys that will assist in providing evidence for impact of delivery to funding partners.

- Gathering of ASDAN accreditation evidence to be submitted.

2. SPECIFIC ROLE RESPONSIBILITY

• Support the Youth Intervention Manager to create impact reports throughout the project through collecting relevant evidence and statistics to highlight impact of the project.
•  To work in partnership with Holgate Academy and its feeder Primary schools to work with young people identified by Nottinghamshire Virtual Schools who have, or have previously had social care involvement through Child Protection Plans or Child in Need plans.
• Work in collaboration with Holgate to identify those in need of intervention support and to create bespoke intervention packages for each referred 1:1 individual and support around key concerns / reason of initial referral.
• Support referred young people in both 1:1 intervention and group workshops through transition from Primary school to Secondary school, those struggling to engage positively in school, have formed concerning behaviour patterns and/or safeguarding concerns.
• Provide termly updates on individuals engaging with the project schools / referring agencies.
• Work in collaboration with external supporting organisations attached to individual participants (Social Care, Police etc).
• Plan, coordinate and deliver 3 x days (4 hours per day) of activity per week during school holidays.
• Support in peer and adult relationship repair where necessary.
• Provide suppOrt to young people to engage in further activities external to school within the local community.

What you’ll be doing

As Senior Programme Coordinator, you'll help make sure that support reaches as many young people as possible and that it's delivered to a consistently high standard.

You'll lead a small team of sports coaches and youth mentors, helping them plan great sessions, develop their practice and overcome the day-to-day challenges that come with the job. You'll also build and maintain strong relationships with schools, alternative provisions and community partners to keep programmes running smoothly.

This is a hands-on role. Alongside keeping regional delivery on track, you'll still spend time working directly with young people: being a positive presence, modelling good practice and helping create the kind of safe, engaging environments where young people can thrive.

You'll also take the lead on the activities that go beyond our weekly sessions such as organising holiday programmes, Career Taster Days, regional trips and events that give young people experiences they wouldn't otherwise have. · Identify and establish partnership with local voluntary youth groups, leisure and sports clubs to support the Ambassador programme.

Purpose of the job

UK Youth exists to widen the reach and deepen the impact of youth work and outdoor learning.

Key responsibilities

Public Affairs support

• Produce briefings and speaking notes for UK Youth leadership and trustees relating to important policy issues and external events.

• Manage relationships with politicians, civil servants, and staff in local authorities and regulatory bodies to brief them on matters relating to UK Youth’s policy objectives.

• Identify opportunities for UK Youth to publicly intervene on key policy priorities – including responses to government consultations, speaking at events, meeting with key influencers, etc.

• Develop written content, including blogs, and support colleagues in our Communications team to respond to breaking news relating to UK Youth’s policy priorities.

• Work closely with the Communications team to support the development of influencing plans that promote our policy messages on public channels.

Political monitoring and policy development support

• Coordinate with monitoring services to ensure proactive monitoring of relevant announcements and developments in Parliament and the devolved nations that relate to youth work and young people.

• Work with colleagues across the Impact Function to understand trends and innovations in the youth and outdoor learning sectors that have implications for policy.

• Ensure that there is a clear record of UK Youth’s policy positions on key issues, along with rationale and suggested messaging.

• Contribute to external-facing policy reports and briefings on topics relating to UK Youth’s work.

Stakeholder engagement and event management

• Build strong working relationships with policy professionals across the youth sector and identify opportunities to work in partnership, where appropriate.

• Develop relationships with key external stakeholders including other policy and public affairs teams in the youth sector and civil servants.

• Work closely with young people and youth workers to help refine UK Youth’s policy positions and influencing plans.

• Lead on day-to-day management of UK Youth’s secretariat role for the Back Youth Alliance, with oversight and support from the Head of Policy and Public Affairs.

• Project manage UK Youth’s involvement in key influencing events, such as party conferences, with oversight and support from the Head of Policy and Public Affairs.

• Represent UK Youth at meetings and events – helping to disseminate insights from our work, tell the story of youth work’s impact to inspire lasting change.

We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our teams across Lansworth House and Gareth Stacey House, working flexibly between both sites to ensure young people are safe.

You will respond promptly to any reported incidents, accidents, or concerns, carrying out thorough checks and taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone on site. You will also take a proactive approach to preventing anti‑social behaviour, working closely with support staff to maintain a positive environment. Our Eastbourne and Hailsham servicesprovide 24-hour supported housing for young people aged 16–25, offering low to medium levels of housing-related support. Eastbourne Foyer houses 33 young people, while our two Hailsham sites - Grove House and Newton Park - houses 7 and 3 young people respectively, all with shared communal facilities. Across all three sites, we support residents to develop the skills needed for independent living. We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our team at Eastbourne Foyer, with the expectation of working from our other sites in Hailsham when required. You will hold a caseload of residents and carry out regular key work sessions with them each week. Through these sessions, you will work together to develop personalised support plans, track progress, and help residents achieve their goals.

Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

As our Events Manager, you will:

• Plan, organisation and on-site delivery of regional and national events, including residential and single-day conferences, networking events and a House of Commons sitting.
• Project management of all event elements including budgets, logistics, health and safety, safeguarding, attendees, AV and delegate communications.
• Be responsible for selection and management of all event suppliers including accommodation, equipment, AV and logistics.
• Oversee venue and supplier management
• Act as first point of contact for all delegates where appropriate to the event
• First point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
• Work with our finance team to ensure event budgets are managed closely and events are delivered in budget
• Report for each event during event planning phase and developing comprehensive post-event reports which
