We are seeking a knowledgeable individual to oversee the Fundraising Development Manager position for a fixed-term, covering maternity leave. The successful applicant will have some professional experience of fundraising and/or education development, together with experience of developing good working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

The role

As Partner Engagement Manager you will promote and develop the work of Family Fund in its reach to families. You’ll also contribute to its profile within the disability sector in Wales and with key Government/political stakeholders.

You will proactively work with a wide range of public, private and third sector organisations. Your goal will be to ensure Family Fund’s strategy is understood, and that mutually beneficial relationships are formed. In addition, you will seek out opportunities which allow Family Fund to achieve its key priorities, deliver added value for funders, and secure positive outcomes for our beneficiaries.

You will be acknowledged as a senior Family Fund representative across the disability sector, deputising for the Group CEO, or Directors on committees and at events as required.

Finally, you will build effective partnerships and proactively develop activities with key organisations across public, private and third sectors.

For this role you will need to have experience of presenting to external stakeholders and representing an organisation in a professional capacity. You’ll also need experience of managing budgets and delivering projects.

To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated and be able to engage positively with different teams.  You must be flexible, adaptable and resilient to work demands and change. This post is home based with regular travel.

You should have excellent people skills (both adult and youth), good organisational ability and be adept at creative thinking.

You should have a professional and positive approach, with a commitment to professional development and self‑improvement. Undertaking Core Skills Family Ministries Training will be an early opportunity to demonstrate this.

Are you passionate about improving support for families affected by substance misuse?

This could be the perfect role for you! The Family Support Worker is an exciting role within a growing and dynamic team, where you can help to make a real difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Lambeth. 

Having identified a gap in the identification of young carers and adult carers looking after someone with substance misuse issues, over the past year we have successfully piloted a project to identify and provide long-term support to these carers. We are now entering the second year of the project, and are looking for a new Family Support Worker to bring their expertise, enthuasism and ideas to the next stage of the project. 

The Family Support Worker will work across our Young Carers and Adult Carers Service to provide support to families affected by substance misuse, through whole-family assessments and reviews. The successful candidate will ensure that adult and young carers, and their families, have access to a range of emotional and practical support appropriate to their needs.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of working within the substance misuse field and an understanding of associated health and social issues. They will preferably have experience of working with both adults, children and young people. We are seeking candidates with a professional qualification in health & social care, youth or community work, and/or direct experience of delivering family focused interventions.

Missing People exists to ease the heartache experienced by those missing someone, and to help people who are away from home find their way back to safety. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Participation Manager will work with children, young people and adults who are or have been missing, including those who may have been exploited, and the families of people who are missing, in co-production of the charity’s work. They will lead the organisation’s participation work with those affected by missing, including families, children and young people, and adults to further embed our approach to voice, participation and engagement.

The main priorities of this role are to:   

• Embed a culture across the organisation that ensures people with lived experience are at the heart of everything we do

• Increase the organisation’s capacity to involve people with lived experience of missing by leading and supporting participation approaches and activities

• Lead the cross-organisational coordination of participation, ensuring that all teams are following good practice and are being consistent in their approaches to participation

As a Circles Coordinator you will make a real difference to preventing sexual abuse and sexual violence. This varied and rewarding role means working with people who have sexually harmed, a team of local volunteers and public protection colleagues. Join our dedicated regional team of 12 staff and 180 volunteers working towards the vision of ‘No More Victims’ of sexual abuse.

About Circles South West

We are an award winning independent charity providing services that prevent sexual re-offending by people who have sexually harmed, as well as support services for non-offending partners, family and friends impacted.  Our core service is Circles of Support and Accountability; a ‘Circle’ is a small group of local volunteers who assist the safe integration of an individual who has sexually harmed, meeting with them over a year or more. Working closely with responsible statutory agencies we provide a complementary risk management approach, making communities safer. Informed by our practice expertise, our training and consultancy for professionals is designed to enhance skills, knowledge and understanding in order that they can more effectively engage with people who sexually harm and contribute more widely to the prevention of sexual abuse.

About You

With experience of working with adults convicted of sexual offences, you understand how local communities can support risk management and be committed to the safe integration in the community of people who have sexually harmed. You will be skilled in the management and support of volunteers, the critical success factor for Circles. You will assess referrals, coordinate Circles, review progress and share relevant information with police and probation.
