About the opportunity
Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and wider Philanthropy Department, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will identify and cultivate fruitful partnerships with a range of small, medium and large businesses.
They will help maximise the potential of corporate and other organisations for funding, volunteer recruitment, and other philanthropic opportunities, to enable growth and sustainability for Action Tutoring. This will be achieved by securing and nurturing small to medium sized organisations to provide financial support for programmes. Additionally, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will engage with business to generate volunteers from across the country to deliver both online and face to face tutoring.

Deadline: Sunday, 4th January 2026

Place of work: This is a flexible/hybrid role, and while you can be based anywhere in England, a willingness to travel to our London office is essential. The office address is 8-10 Fivefields, Grosvenor Gardens, London SW1W 0DH.
Contract and hours: Full-time fixed-term contract of 12 months. We offer flexible hours with 9.30-4 as core hours. A full working week is 37.5 hours.

Duties and responsibilities

• Identify and persuade small to medium sized businesses to fund specific schools in Action Tutoring regions as part of a pilot of a ‘local champions’ scheme.
• Drive new applications from potential corporate volunteer tutors, ensuring a strong supply of high quality applications to meet growth targets in each region, for both face to face and online delivery.
• Generate regular reports and communicate updates to volunteer partners to demonstrate the value and impact of their volunteers and financial support.
• Support programme staff to develop local partnerships, through businesses and public sector links.
• Maintain accurate records of recruitment channels and relationships; use data to analyse the effectiveness of different recruitment channels, using this information to inform future work.
• Any other ad hoc responsibilities as deemed relevant by the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Spear Programme

• Lead group sessions of up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their mindsets, and to maximise their potential in stepping into the world of work.
• Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees. This includes running application workshops with past Trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics.

Relationship management

• Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations.
• You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre.

Church Community

• The Spear Coach is directly employed by The Mount, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community.
• Help to raise the profile of the Spear programme within The Mount, and build a network of supporters and volunteers from the congregation.
• Other ad hoc church responsibilities from time to time.

The Role

The HR Administrator will provide essential administrative and coordination support across the charity, ensuring that HR processes run smoothly and efficiently. As a small operational team with limited capacity, we are seeking additional support to ease the administrative workload currently carried by managers and the Finance & HR Manager. Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Interview Administration

• Post job adverts and support recruitment administration, including scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communications.

• Carry out pre-employment compliance checks such as right-to-work verification.

Onboarding & Offboarding

• Prepare and issue contracts of employment and set up new starters in the HR portal.
• Calculate and communicate holiday entitlement for new starters.
• Support new employees during onboarding by responding to routine queries and ensuring required information is collected.
• Manage DBS/PVG applications and renewals, ensuring certificates are returned and recorded. Track references
• Support the offboarding process: acknowledge resignations, confirm holiday balances, and ensure all documentation is completed.

HR Administration & Employee Lifecycle Support

• Process changes to staff records including hours changes, contract updates, promotions, or flexible working arrangements.

• Respond to day-to-day HR queries from staff and managers, signposting to the Finance & HR Manager or external HR support when needed.
• Update HR templates, documents, and policies on the HR portal.
• Monitor and track probation reviews and send reminders to managers.

Compliance, Training & HR Systems

• Track and record completion of mandatory training (e.g. safeguarding, GDPR, health & safety).
• Ensure digital and paper records comply with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing administration of a new HR system or portal. Support the annual review of HR policies by updating documentation and coordinating communication

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative or coordination role, preferably within a busy office or operational environment.
• Exposure to HR processes (such as onboarding, record-keeping, or recruitment admin) OR a willingness to learn and develop HR process knowledge.
• Good understanding of the basic steps involved in HR administration (e.g., issuing contracts, updating records, tracking absence).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
• Confident in using digital systems and maintaining accurate records; experience with HR systems is helpful but not essential.

As an Enhanced Support Worker you will support vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community, by providing flexible and individually tailored support.

The team:​

You will join our National Support Office team based in Eynsham, supporting our charitable work with families and professionals across the UK. The Senior People Officer is line managed by the Head of People who, together with outsourced support and advice, form the People function within HENRY. You will also work closely with our Finance team, IT Manager, CEO and people managers within the organisation. ​

​Work base and travel:​

​This role works 3 days per week from our office in Eynsham (Tuesday – Thursday) and two days per week remotely from home (Monday and Friday). ​

Hours:​

This is a full-time role of 37.5hours per week. Employees can take advantage of our flexitime hours, choosing when to work their hours between 8am – 6pm each day. ​

​​Job Purpose​

To manage and enhance HR processes, support governance and the Board of Trustees, and create a positive experience for our workforce aligned with our charities values, culture and aims.​

• Maintain confidential personnel files for employees, casual workers, freelancers and volunteers.​

• Oversee a quality recruitment process that aligns to organisational need, in line with the HENRY values. ​

• Onboard new employees, casual workers, freelancers and volunteers and support a quality induction.​

• Oversee all processes linked to the employee lifecycle, including types of leave and processing leavers.​

• Manage HR retention periods for records and maintain accurate records​

• Be the first port of call for queries and support the Head of People in the breadth of issues and challenges that arise.​

• Provide accurate and detailed information to our Finance team to support monthly payroll. ​

• Provide timely and accurate reports and insights​

• Maintain up to date information on current employment legislation, communicating changes through policy and internal communications.​

• Arrange and coordinate Board meetings and Annual General Meetings.​

• Liaise with Trustees, responding to requests for information.​

• Support the implementation of Charitable Governance processes and legal compliance​

• Act as the primary contact for office visitors and mail​

• Organize and maintain office filing systems, both electronic and paper-based​

• Manage office, kitchen, and bathroom supply inventories, placing orders as needed to ensure stock availability​

• Weekly, monthly, and quarterly internal fire and legionella checks​

• Conducting H&S inductions with new staff​

• Supporting external contractors during visits​

As Church Army continues its journey of significant strategic reshaping, you would play a vital role in shaping the vision and strategy and then leading the work of Church Army for the next season of ministry. JOB DESCRIPTION 

Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice helps babies, children and young people who are seriously unwell, and their families, make the most of every day. The charity aspires to become a centre of clinical excellence for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

We’ve been on a major upward trajectory in recent years, with more children being supported, more major hospitals being partnered with and more supporters donating. We’ve transformed from being an enthusiastic start-up delivering care in the community, to a serious player delivering major impact both in the community and at our state-of-the-art hospice building, The Ark, opened in 2019.

Philanthropy, which covers Grants, Trusts & Foundations and Major Donor fundraising streams, is pivotal to Noah’s Ark, typically accounting for around 50% of the charity’s voluntary income. This is an area of real expertise for Noah’s Ark, with much scope for further refining. The successful candidate will therefore enjoy opportunities to manage and add to an exciting portfolio and gain further training and support, working as part of a high-performing and super supportive team, ready for its next exciting growth phase.

The Philanthropy Officer will work closely with and report to the Grants, Trusts & Foundations Manager and Head of Philanthropy to develop the Trust and Major Donor pipelines, along with instrumental cross-team work on applications and reporting processes for other income streams. Whilst we work towards developing a more diverse funding model and navigate changes to the external Trust and HNWI environments, sustaining and growing income from both of these income steams will remain vital.

The post-holder will be key in taking the Trust and Major Donor programmes to the next level, securing new grants, building relationships, increasing multi-year gifts and improving both quality and volume of applications. They will also support the Grants, Trusts & Foundations Manager, and the wider team, to the same end with their respective portfolios.

Person Specification

You’ll be an energetic person who thrives on making new connections and can inspire others to take action. As an experienced facilitator you will be confident facilitating groups and at ease with designing and adapting formal and informal training sessions appropriate to the context.

Your experience MUST include facilitating groups who don’t already hold a common and agreed set of values. So while academic or activist settings may form a significant part of your experience, it is essential to have worked in a mixed community or neighbourhood setting, where you regularly encountered and brought together a range of contrasting viewpoints, which included views substantially different to your own.

A knowledge of community organising methodology (see for example Act Build Change or Citizen’s UK) is useful, but there may also be other approaches or experiences that you could draw on for this role. You will be curious and keen to learn about the history of community organising and community development at Pembroke House, and keen to build on and contribute to the development of that work. 

Pembroke House

Pembroke House is a centre for social action and residential community in Walworth, South-East London.

We were founded in 1885, by students from Pembroke College, Cambridge, as one of the first settlement houses. Concerned about growing poverty and inequality, the pioneers of the settlement movement sought a new approach: taking up residence to live, work and solve problems alongside local communities. 

For 140 years, we’ve been working to bridge traditional divides and unite people – whatever their background or walk of life – in building a better Walworth.
