Tabard Court is a mental health supported accommodation for individual with significant offending histories. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, providing support to customers with a range of mental health needs - emotional, social, physical or domestic -, who have had contact with the Criminal Justice System. You will be skilled in engaging both customers and stakeholders and have a good understanding of the needs and diversity of this client group. This role will include shift working including: every other weekends, early shifts (8am start) and late shifts (until 10pm).

The role in Approved Premises (AP) involves supporting high-risk individuals transitioning from prison back into the community. Staff work closely with residents, providing guidance, promoting positive behaviour, and helping them build independence while maintaining a structured environment. Responsibilities include preparing meals, supporting rehabilitation plans in collaboration with probation and external agencies, and ensuring residents follow rules such as curfews and drug/alcohol testing. Staff are also expected to assist in running and documenting activities, completing daily tasks, and keeping the premises safe, clean, and secure through regular checks and communication. A key aspect of the role is empowering residents to take responsibility for their own lives, without doing things for them, while providing support and supervision as needed. Staff must adhere to Hestia's policies and the Ministry of Justice's guidelines.

Job Summary

Advance delivers nationally accredited, high quality domestic abuse services across London. Advance's domestic abuse services are community based and include local authority commissioned advocacy services, co-located projects in a range of settings such as housing and children’s social care, and specialist projects for victim/survivors with different intersecting needs including children and young people.

As a Peripatetic Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA), you will provide front line support across Advance’s domestic abuse services, covering vacancies across teams to ensure service delivery remains effective and consistent. You will cover a range of roles all involving advocacy and support of people experiencing domestic abuse; some roles may also involve co-locating with partner agencies, delivering training or undertaking triage and assessment work. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and experience in a range of settings and would suit someone who is passionate about advocating for victim/survivors of domestic abuse. An excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children is essential, alongside some past experience working directly with victim/survivors of domestic abuse.

To be successful as the Peripatetic IDVA you will need the below experience and skills:

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse in various areas of need, with particular knowledge of safeguarding and legislation. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence, of supporting women with child safeguarding, needs, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

The Organisation

Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs). The Project

Our Place is a project that is facilitated and managed by AoD. It is a 3-year National Lottery Community fund and Propel London funded project that will sit within our Independent Living Service. Our Place creates a community space and resource hub that Disabled people can call their own – led by them and facilitated by AoD staff. This service will be genuinely embedded in the local area, meeting needs expressed by local Disabled people to have their own place, and building links with amenities, businesses, and event spaces in Hammersmith and Fulham.

We want to enable businesses to feel more confident to welcome Disabled people and remove barriers. We want to create an inclusive and accessible space for Disabled people to socialise, build skills, pursue interests, and develop peer relationships.

Our Place operates alongside, and enhances, our current service provision. Central to this is ensuring that Disabled people have meaningful ownership over the space, from Steering Board input to operational delivery.

Disabled people will achieve their potential through four outcomes:

• Increased confidence, knowledge, and skills through opportunities to lead, learn and do new things.
• Reduced isolation and improved mental well-being through a place to socialise.
• Equity of access and participation in the local community.
• Mitigation of the pandemic’s impact, through building new opportunities.

The Post

We are looking for a full time Project delivery support officer with a commitment to the vision of AoD to promote Independent Living, Peer Support and Co-production within this project. You will have strong community project delivery, administration and support skills, good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to support the project and work effectively as part of a team. Your working hours will be dependent on the Our Place project activity schedule and may include early evening and weekend work.

The Diocese of Manchester has established the Places Project, which is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. We are looking to appoint a Children’s Worker, to work with the team on a range of innovative new initiatives for children and their families as well as helping existing ministries to grow and flourish.

The Children’s Worker will work with churches and primary schools to create worship and discipleship opportunities for children. As part of their role, the Children’s Worker will work as part of the wider Places Project team, with specific involvement in a Year 6 transition programme in primary schools.

The Children’s Worker will have many opportunities for training and development, as well as the creative freedom to launch new children’s initiatives. They will work within a highly motivated and supportive team, who are committed to prayer and to raising a generation of Jesus-followers.

This is an exciting opportunity in the Westminster Outreach and Befriending Service for a Family and Volunteer Support Worker to deliver family support and volunteer peer service to families and children under the age of 5, new parents and their families, across the London Borough of Westminster.

This service provides a programme of support for pregnant women and parents/carers which includes face-to-face befriending in the home and community as well as support by phone and video.
