Ready to make a difference to a young person's life? Team Up is seeking dynamic volunteer to help transform the lives of disadvantaged pupils by improving their grades and building confidence in their learning.
We are looking for inspirational role models who will tutor Maths or English on one of our 12-week online progarmmes, starting mid-September 2025,
You will be matched with a small number of pupils and provide them with the academic support, encouragement and inspiration they need to get back on track. The pupils on our online programmes have had some disrupted schooling due to personal circumstances and our tuition programmes aim to build not just academic strength, but confidence and positivity towards learning as well.
All our volunteer tutors receive full training, lesson resources and support from a qualified teacher / team manager throughout their placement.
Practical Considerations:
- Tutors can choose between between two online programmes: Tuesday mornings from 11:30am till 12:45pm or Tuesday afternoons from 16:45 till 18:00.
- The start date of both programmes is Tuesday 16th September 2025 and the final sessions are on Tuesday 9th September 2025.
- Sessions are 60 minutes and take place via Teams. Tutors are expected to be online 15 minutes prior to their session. There is a 15-minute debrief with your progarmme manager after each session.
- This role requires you to undergo a free of charge enhanced DBS check, which will be arranged by Team Up.

Who are Literacy Pirates?
Through our term-long after-school programmes, we develop the literacy, confidence and perseverance of children aged 9-13 who are falling behind in school and have fewer opportunities in their personal lives, so that they can succeed at school and beyond.
Children join us on our Virtual Ship once a week to practise their reading and writing. By welcoming them into our joyful spaces, publishing their work in the real world, and celebrating everything they do, we develop their literacy, confidence and perseverance.
What does a Volunteer do?
As a Volunteer Crewmate, your role is to join our online sessions and help children practise their reading and writing in small groups by providing constant encouragement, positivity and celebration of their achievements.
Sessions are led and managed by staff, which means your time is solely focused on supporting the children in breakout rooms.

Are you passionate about improving health and social care services in your community? Do you have lived experience or care for someone who uses health and social care services?
West Glamorgan Regional Partnership wants to hear from you!
We are looking for volunteer representatives to help us shape the future of health and social care services across the region. This is your chance to be part of something meaningful; ensuring real experiences guide real change.
Volunteers must live in the Swansea or Neath Port Talbot region.
We have a variety of Programmes:
- Communities and Older Peoples Programme
- Carers Partnership
- Dementia Programme
- Well-being and Learning Disability Programme
- Emotional Well-being and Mental Health Programme
- Children and Young People Programme
- Neurodiverse Programme
�� What you’ll be doing:
• Sharing your experiences and those of others in your network.
• Helping shape and influence regional health and social care programmes.
• Working alongside professionals and other volunteers to improve services.
• Representing the views of unpaid carers and people with lived experience—not just your own.
�� Time Commitment:
• Quarterly meetings (approximately every 12 weeks)
• 2-hour meetings
• Meetings held online or in person, Monday–Friday during office hours.
• Some time needed to prepare for meetings
• 4-year volunteer term (flexible and supported).
�� Skills & Support:
• No qualifications needed, just your experience and willingness to contribute.
• Full induction, training, and ongoing support provided.
• Travel expenses reimbursed.
