Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Barnardo's Scotland Fostering North is looking for a dedicated Qualified Supervising Social Worker to join our dynamic and supportive team.
Hours: 30 per week (flexible working arrangements available)
Location: Hybrid, with travel across mainly in Moray and Highland and occasionally in Aberdeen, and Aberdeenshire. Wider travel across Scotland/England may be required for meetings and training. Our team meets both online and in-person at our Aberdeen office.
About the Role
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team including social workers, children's workers, therapists, managers, and administrative staff. Together, we recruit, supervise and support foster carers who provide safe, nurturing homes for looked after children and young people referred by Local Authorities.

We're seeking a qualified social worker with experience and enthusiasm in Children's Services/Fostering. You'll bring strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to trauma-informed practice, and the ability to work collaboratively across regions.

- To provide breastfeeding and infant feeding peer support to parents and.
- Support in delivering inductions and offer shadowing for volunteer peer supporters.
- To attend regular supervision/support sessions.
- Collecting data as and when required including case studies and narrative of work with the communities.
- Attend meetings relevant to safeguarding duties to ensure effective and informed practice, responding to and supporting safeguarding concerns.
About you
· Trained NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter or equivalent with appropriate experience, or willing to train.
· Have a passion for breastfeeding and ensuring every family in Kent has accessible support.
· Experience of working with families from diverse backgrounds.
· Good interpersonal skills with the ability to create rapport with a range of people.
· Have knowledge of the local perinatal services and communities within the Kent area.

This role is offered on a part-time 13-month maternity cover contract (24.5hrs/week) paying a salary of £47,107 pro rata plus £218 Home Worker Allowance per annum with flexible remote working arrangements and occasional travel.
Sitting in the Community and Events Team, the Digital Events Team is responsible for securing an annual income of £2.1 million from online fundraising activities. This role is key within the team and leads on the development and longer-term growth of the organisation's digital fundraising activities so to increase funds, engagement, and awareness. The post holder will be responsible for a team of 3 and have strategic oversight of the busy calendar of events that they manage. They will manage the organisation’s digital fundraising activities, explore and test new products and channels as they emerge, deliver exceptional behavioural supporter journeys, ensure income targets are achieved and make certain that the organisation continues to reach and retain new supporters.
