We are seeking an enthusiastic, pragmatic person who is excited by what spirit-led growth might mean in a faith context. Our local development team is a key part of our plans to reinvigorate Quakerism and to help Quaker communities thrive.
As a local development worker, you will support Quaker communities to be inclusive, welcoming and all-age. The support areas include worship, community, organisational management, social action, collaboration in the wider community, and outreach. You will provide accompaniment, facilitation, project support, and training. You will work alongside others at Quakers in Britain and Woodbrooke to provide resources and opportunities that grow from the identified needs of local Quakers.

About GamCare
Founded in 1997, GamCare is one of the leading providers of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.
The role
As an Outreach & Engagement Practitioner, you will actively engage with the public, local community groups, and professionals, and build effective partnerships that promote awareness and support for gambling-related harm.
You will actively plan and deliver community campaigns, including distributing materials, organising drop-ins, and setting up public stalls, making sure our services are visible and accessible to individuals in need.
By communicating with stakeholders and sharing information on gambling-related harms, you will foster collaboration and create new referral pathways. Building and maintaining relationships with local services, professionals, and community organisations will be essential in identifying gambling harms and improving support networks for individuals on their recovery pathways.
Please note successful candidates will need to be able to travel around the East Midlands region.
About you
To succeed in this role, you should have experience in community-based work and effectively collaborating with local services and initiatives.
Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, will allow you to engage with diverse audiences and tailor content to professional and public contexts.
Having a professional qualification in Health, Social Care, Psychology, Youth or Community Care, or relevant demonstrable experience in the field, along with a commitment to continuous professional development, is essential.

Coram Voice is a national independent children’s charity established in 1975 and has grown to become one of the leading organisations for children and young people in the UK.
Coram Voice is a leading children’s rights organisation. We champion the rights of children. We get young voices heard in decisions that matter to them and work to improve the lives of children in care, care leavers and others who depend upon the help of the state.
We provide:
- Advocacy services direct to children and young people in care, in need, in custody and to care leavers and children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems. Advocates around the country support children and young people to get their voice heard in decisions about their lives. This may be through the telephone helpline or through an advocate working directly with a child, for instance, to support them at a review meeting or to help them make a complaint about their care. Coram Voice provides visiting advocacy services to most of the secure units nationally, to Secure Training Centres, Juvenile Young Offender Institutions, psychiatric hospitals, residential special schools and children’s homes.
- A Helpline to provide access for children and young people to advocacy and advice, with access to legal advice and links with other national helplines such as ChildLine.
- Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) to advocate for young people as qualifying patients under the Mental Health Act, in order to fully support them to get their views heard in matters relating to their mental health.
- Independent Visitor services offers a child or young person in care an adult volunteer who provides independent, one-to-one visiting, advice and befriending support. Our independent visitors can become the only long-term, consistent source of support throughout a young person's time in care.
- Independent services provide independent person services for complaints by children and for reviewing whether children should be locked up in secure units on welfare grounds.
- Policy and campaigning to create a better system for all children and young people looked after by the state, for their care to be more child-centred and to give young people a greater say in decisions about their lives.
- Participation services to ensure children and young people have a voice in the development and delivery of services and campaigns, and through the process, provide the opportunity to develop relevant skills which will be of benefit to them in their future lives.
- Training, development and information for young people, advocates and child care workers, offering courses in advocacy, children’s rights and child-centred practice across a range of areas including the National Advocacy Qualification.
About the Role
You will co-ordinate and deliver a statutory independent visitor service to children and young people in care or care leavers of Worcestershire.
You will recruit, assess and train volunteers to become independent visitors, who are volunteer befrienders to children and young people looked after or care leavers. You will manage a cash flow to fund suitable activities for independent visitors to enjoy with the young person. You will manage data and reporting for this statutory service so that service leads and other stakeholders can understand the activity in the service.
We are a child led service, you will not act outside of the young person’s instructions (except in matters of child protection and safety.) You will build strong relationships with the child or young person, independent visitors and other significant adults, you will support Independent Visitors to develop long term, meaningful friendships with the young person.
You will work in partnership with other parts of the service, organisation and external agencies and professionals. This is to ensure there are pathways to attract and retain Independent Visitors in the area and sometimes out of area.

The interview process comprises of a written exercise and a panel interview. Successful candidates will have a further one to one interview in accordance within Warner recommendations. About the role
We’re looking for an Insight Analyst with good SQL skills and great proactivity to join our Strategic Insights team. The primary focus of this role is to support Young Lives vs Cancer to use relevant, timely and accurate information to support decision making and drive innovation and impact. Working as part of the Strategic Insight team, this may include:
- Developing insight and learning with the aim of improving our impact.
- Working with colleagues within the Income & Engagement directorate to analyse data on supporters, and develop insight to ensure sustainable income.
- Working on Services data to understand our reach and impact.
- Contributing to continual learning – so we understand what is working—and what is not—for children, young people and their families across the system.
- Supporting the charity to develop and use insight which enables us to achieve our strategy, The Time is Now, and to move towards our North Star vision.
The Insight Analyst will work with stakeholders to define the key questions to be answered that will support effective decision making and continuous improvement. Working with various colleagues, they will use both internal and external data sets to deliver strategic analysis and actionable insight to teams across the organisation. They will be curious with data, striving for relevant, timely and accurate insight. They will also be instrumental in creating and maintaining a culture which centres evidence, insight and continuous learning.
What will I be doing?

- Interacting with data through SQL and PowerBI to generate metrics, KPIs and actionable insights.
- Work with key stakeholders to understand their requests, proactively interpreting and predicting their requirements.
- Working as part of the Strategic Insight team to move through their backlog and to improve their processes, ensuring the team delivers insight that has impact and value.
- Test and develop innovative ways of presenting data to engage and motivate colleagues and improve organisational understanding of data and insight.

- A solid grasp of SQL, including the ability to write and review simple queries, and familiarity with extracting data from a database.
- The ability to interrogate data and spot patterns.
- A track record of demonstrating proactivity and autonomy in your work.
- Curiosity and ability to think wider than Young Lives vs Cancer- considering data and insight across the system.
- Experience in generating metrics and insights through robust, repeatable, “end to end” processes (i.e. extract data, convert it to an insight, present it back to stakeholders).
- Knowledge of dashboarding tools and/or experience building dashboards from scratch.
- Good communication skills across various levels of technical and domain knowledge.
