The Philanthropy Manager plays a major role in meeting the organisation's ambitious fundraising goals. Responsible for major giving and grants portfolios, the Philanthropy Manager identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards financial support from generous individuals and granting bodies.
With a proven track record the successful candidate will network with key stakeholders, present compelling communications, and generate significant funds. In turn, these funds will enable Animal Equality to achieve it's ambitious financial targets and carry out its crucial campaigns to meaningfully transform and save the lives of farmed animals.
General Responsibilities:
- Oversee a dedicated portfolio of donors and prospects: with a track-record of soliciting significant financial gifts (six-figure levels) and generating new prospects that convert to major gifts, handle the introduction, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans / activities for new and existing major donors, trusts, and foundations. Nurture a solid base of trust amongst supporters, understanding their giving preferences so that Animal Equality’s income-generating relationships result in the greatest lifetime impact for animals. Encourage existing funders to generate repeat donations, securing an uplift or multi-year grant.
- Proactively build our supporter base: persuade existing donors, trusts, and foundations to leverage their networks in support of Animal Equality’s work, employing innovative relationship management techniques and creating creative propositions to maximise giving, engagement and onward referral. Conduct comprehensive fundraising research, and produce high-quality, strategic, and measurable funding applications, to develop a healthy pipeline of new funding sources, stewarding donors and grant-makers that fit Animal Equality’s ethos.
- Increase demand for farmed animal philanthropic giving: showcasing Animal Equality’s life-saving role in delivering meaningful change for farmed animals, employ proven approaches to map out networks for potential supporters. Proactively identify and cultivate prospective major donors through proactive in-person meetings, events, forums, events, and other strategic communications, establishing a dialogue that converts into income for Animal Equality.
- Inspire loyalty to the cause: design and deliver high-quality, bespoke supporter experiences, supplying current and potential donors with timely, authentic, and persuasive communications to inspire ongoing giving. Leverage a range of tools, including digital, direct mail and telephone strategies, to develop a dynamic prospect pipeline, increase engagement and maximise ask opportunities within Animal Equality’s supporter pool. Share regular updates and impact reports with major donors and granting bodies.
- Meet and exceed annual income targets in support of our vision: successfully secure financial gifts through funding proposals to individuals and grant-giving bodies, monitoring annual targets and planned budgets. Develop and execute individualised donor plans and grant proposals, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
- Oversee the organisation of supporter events: support in the strategic vision for in-person events to celebrate and appreciate our supporters. Confidently and proudly act as a brand ambassador for Animal Equality, evidencing our impact-driven approach. Equip yourself with the knowledge of Animal Equality’s past, present and planned work for animals, to competently represent the organisation in all settings, whether by phone, email or in person, and communicate in an energetic and captivating way.
- Implement a strategic fundraising strategy: contribute to the development and implementation of Animal Equality’s annual strategic initiatives. Review and optimise existing fundraising strategies to forecast planned income levels and streams alongside fully costed resources that will be required to deliver on set targets.
- Cooperate with others: collaborative by nature, work with a broad range of colleagues to maximise fundraising opportunities. Work closely with staff in various departments and country offices to gain insight into international plans and achievements.
- Manage records and reporting: produce high-quality monthly and ad hoc reports for the UK Executive Director, ensuring donor and prospect records are comprehensive, accurate and well maintained in our CRM system. Evaluate current processes, make suggestions for ongoing improvements, and ensure GDPR, Fundraising Regulator standards and key fundraising protections are adhered to at all times. Compile precise and timely reports and updates for key funders relating to Animal Equality’s activities.

Position Requirements:
- A minimum of five years of related work experience in major gifts fundraising or in the field of marketing and communications, preferably at a non-profit advocacy organisation.
- A proven track record of bringing in major donations of six-figure sums.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred.
- A practical understanding of fundraising, GDPR and charity regulation.
- Knowledge of and proven ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable presenting professionally.

Burnham and Weston Energy CIC is looking for a programme manager to nurture and grow our energy advice service.
The service is delivered by a small team of trained Home Energy Advisors who visit people in their homes to provide advice on how they can save money on their bills and make their homes warmer and healthier to live in. They also install small energy efficiency measures such as LED lights, draft proofing and radiator reflectors. Households are then referred on to further support to help them access welfare payments and grant funding for home upgrades including insulation, boiler replacement and energy efficient appliances.
The current team of 2 Home Energy Advisors have capacity to deliver around 700 home visits per year. We receive referrals from a range of local organisations. We employ a Programme Co-ordinator to manage and generate home visit referrals and bookings, provide follow up support, and manage events and communications.
From this foundation, our growth objectives for the Home Energy Savings service are to:
- Continue to raise awareness of the service amongst local organisations and the public, and increase the number of referrals and vulnerable householders who benefit.
- Grow the team of Home Energy Advisors as demand requires, to at least double the team by the end of 2025.
- Secure additional funding to support the service.
- Develop partnerships which broaden and deepen the ways we can help households, including unlocking funding and support for energy efficiency retrofit.
Role responsibilities

Manage, mentor and support our team of Home Energy Advisors and the Programme Co-ordinator, and oversee its growth.

This role is a hybrid role within the Children and Families Team which is part of the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service, providing support to children and young people that have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse.
The Children and Young Persons Triage Advisor will act as the gateway for all children and young people referrals to the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service. Working within an experienced and established team, the Children and Young Persons Triage Advisor will:
- Triage referrals, with a particular focus on children and young people who have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse.
- Conduct risk assessments and offer immediate safety planning advice.
- Respond to safeguarding concerns.
- Signpost victims and professionals to other support agencies where appropriate.
- Provided early intervention support to children and young people as part of triage and welfare calls made.
- Offer specialist domestic abuse advice and support to professionals.
- Making welfare calls to victims who are waiting to start structured support.
- Support as required with co-facilitating in our children and young persons group work provision

Working with children and young people and risk management:
- Provide a victim focused service, with an understanding of the impact of trauma on children and young people.
- Demonstrate specialist knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse and how this may impact on the children and young people and their wider family unit.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to children and young people who have witnessed or experience domestic c abuse.
- Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, including the use of the dash risk assessment tool and SOAG.
- Make safeguarding referrals where appropriate: including to Children’s Social Care, Adult Social Care, Mental Health crisis teams and MARAC.
- Work directly with individuals or groups as agreed with the Team Manager.
- Safeguard the health and welfare of the children and young people and their families.
- Respond to emergencies and crisis situations including supporting a service user to access a place of safety if appropriate.

A Permanent Customer Relations and Sales Officer to work as part of a centralised sales team, which leads all Autism Know How sales, logistic and customer support enquiries.
Managing all aspects of the customer sales journey, this role will lead and deliver an effective, timely and professional customer journey and experience, maximising income potential and repeat business to ensure performance against team sales targets and to enable the society to continue to improve its offering for autistic people.

Role outline and purpose
The Trussell Trust are seeking a Philanthropy Executive - Trusts to join our high-performing Trusts team. The role supports the Trussell Trust by raising money from charitable trusts, focusing specifically on Tier 3 trusts (giving up to c.£10,000). You will coordinate a programme of regular stewardship communications to our current givers, fundraise from new prospects through mailings and occasional applications, provide administrative support to the wider team, and ensure that records of communications are kept up to date.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate and send mass mailings to Tier 3 charitable trusts, thanking supporters and requesting further support where appropriate
• Develop compelling, persuasive and up-to-date bulk communications to encourage Tier 3 trusts to give regularly, and keep them informed of the Trussell Trust’s achievements and future plans, coordinating with other fundraising teams where appropriate
• Manage a caseload of c.500 Tier 3 trusts, maintaining accurate records on our CRM database and carrying out analysis on these trusts as necessary
• Liaise with the Supporter Care and Trusts team to ensure that gifts from trusts are coded, thanked and recorded correctly on our database
• Create and submit occasional funding applications and impact reports for Tier 3 trusts, and offer support to the wider team with their trusts where necessary
• Manage the Trusts team inbox, providing first point of contact for enquiries and colleagues, and fielding them to the relevant Trusts team members.
Person Specification
Technical skills and minimum knowledge:
• Excellent communication skills, including a high standard of written English

The role will encompass community support activity as well developing and running school holiday provision.

Roots to Wellbeing project aims:
- Provide a safe and inclusive space for participants to receive weekly support.

- Support participants to move onto outdoor work or volunteering with friends of groups where appropriate.

The role
The roles has four main areas of work:
1. Leadership and management:
- Lead the Roots to Wellbeing team to reach its goals.
- Line manage and support three Mental Health Officers, each delivering Roots to Wellbeing on one site.
- Work with local communities and other team members to explore new opportunities for the project and develop solutions.
- Work with CEO and Head of Fundraising to secure funding for project development.
2. Project management:
- Oversee the delivery and development of the project to meet key KPIs.
- Collate qualitative and quantitative data and produce impact reports for funders.
- Support team to ensure administrative records are kept up to date, including but not limited to: maintaining accurate participant records, work programme, incident reporting, risk management, external outreach, website.
- Develop a thorough communications strategy and build on current local referral relationships to further embed the programme within the VCSE & Health sector.
- Ensure service standard and quality is consistent across sites and policies and procedures are followed.
- Recruit and induct volunteers to support session delivery.
- Work in partnership with stakeholders within and across the organisation to deliver project goals.
- Attend networking meetings and community events to raise awareness of the project and demonstrate its impact.
3. Session delivery at Hartcliffe Millennium Green:
- Continually build and maintain relationships with local referral partners to achieve a consistent referral rate into the project.
- Deliver weekly Roots to Wellbeing sessions by; planning and facilitating delivery of sessions and activities in line with 5 pathways to nature connectedness and that are accessible to all participants, organising logistics of sessions such as travel, food and equipment, acting as safeguarding lead during sessions, liaising with co-facilitator, leading peer-support style check in at the beginning of the sessions and the grounding and meditation at the end.
- Lead on all direct communication with participants at Hartcliffe Millennium Green. Support them to create personalised development plans, signposting and referrals where needed.
4. Other:
- Support the work of the wider charity and specifically the South Bristol team as required.
- Representing the charity externally through media work and presentation where necessary.

Job Summary:
As Net Zero Carbon Statutory Fundraising Coordinator, you will work in The Giving Directorate and operate across the whole Church with a focus on supporting parishes and dioceses to access statutory funds. You will share your knowledge and insight to support with identifying, researching and applying to funding from a range of government sources. You will develop and maintain resources, guidance and training and help share best practice across the country, as well as working with regional fundraisers. The role:
Main responsibilities
- Develop a national plan to secure statutory funding at parish and diocesan level
- Acting as a central point of coordination between the schools, housing and parish fundraising workstreams to oversee statutory funding
- Working specifically with the Regional Fundraising Officer in the north west cluster of dioceses to identify and support applications to statutory funding sources by parishes
- Working with Net Zero Implementation Manager to support statutory funding applications for clergy housing
- Building capacity in dioceses to support senior staff (incl. Bishops) to use their networks to identify relevant statutory funding opportunities (e.g. mayors, local council leadership, police and crime commissioners etc)
- Supporting dioceses to think creatively about packaging projects up a) between parishes, b) between parishes, schools and clergy housing, c) across deaneries.
- Leading consortia of dioceses to apply for funding if available and supporting applications
- Building a hub of best practice and shared learning which will include designing and delivering training to staff and volunteers at all levels
- Sharing statutory funding opportunities across the Church of England, Net Zero Carbon, Giving, and Fundraising networks and with Cathedrals
The ideal candidate:
To be successful, you will need experience of securing statutory funding for projects and of other aspects of fundraising. You will need to be a very strong self-motivator and initiator as the job requires an ability to work across a wide geographical area on a diverse range of projects. Experience managing projects would also be useful. You will be an excellent trainer and communicator.
Due to the specialist nature of the roles within The Giving Directorate, training will be provided to successful candidates to enable them to carry out their role confidently.
