SPANA - The Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad is the global charity for working animals in low-income countries. Since 1923, we have supported the welfare of working animals, including donkeys, horses, camels and elephants, in communities that depend on working animals for water, transport, agriculture and their very survival. Today, we support working animals across 26 countries, through a series of global projects and partnerships.
We are looking for a Global Resources Coordinator to ensure operations within our global resources team run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include providing general administrative support to different teams within Global Resources, manage supply of office resources and equipment, arrange travel, managing relationships with key suppliers, coordinating schedules and meetings and supporting HR administrative duties.
While we classify this role as hybrid, it's worth noting that the vast majority of your work can be done from the comfort of your own home. Occasional in-person visits to our London office (located in Borough High Street), and all-staff gatherings will be necessary. Our full time hours are 34.5 hours per week and we offer core working hours between 10am and 4pm.
Key responsibilities
- Assist staff and visitors with travel booking and coordination when travelling overseas, including booking flights, arranging visas and travel vaccinations.
- Main contact for travel agent building good working relationship.
- Support the Global Resources Director to coordinate and track all insurance policy renewals.
- Liaise with insurance brokers on renewals to ensure competitive costing and ensure timely renewal for all insurance premiums.
- Maintain and order office supplies, stationery, and equipment from the most competitive suppliers.
- Manage and maintain the fixed asset register.
- Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job adverts, preparing weekly vacancy listing, supporting interviews, checking references, and drafting employment contracts.
- Support induction processes for new joiners.
- Maintain the employee absent management system and support with any changes/updates.
- Preparation of documentation for all aspects of the employee life cycle, including leavers, changes to terms and conditions, maternity and paternity and flexible working requests.
- Support the Global People and EDI Manager to coordinate the appraisal process, ensure appraisals are conducted and collate training needs into a report for review and action.
About you
- High level working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven experience providing administrative support across teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain complete confidence.
- Ability to work effectively on own initiative.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, with the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff always showing tact and discretion.
- The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
- Personable and happy to help others with a keen interest in improving processes.
- Practical experience of working within or supporting HR is desirable.

We’re looking for an experienced prospect researcher with strong analytical skills and an excellent knowledge of the global philanthropic space to join our Private Sector Fundraising team. You will be joining a growing major gifts programme with ambitious goals and a strong new business focus.
Someone with prospect research experience in a global health, scientific or medical non-profit setting, and the ability to move comfortably between the worlds of research and philanthropy and to identify opportunities beyond the obvious will be ideal.
Specific responsibilities focus on:
- Assist in developing a proactive and growth-focused prospect research strategy that aligns with DNDi's fundraising plans and strategic priorities.
- Contribute to developing a visibility strategy for DNDi through the identification and tracking of prizes and relevant philanthropic and global health conferences.
- Identify, track, and report on prospective donors for various funding priorities, ensuring they meet fundraising ambitions.
- Make data-driven recommendations to support the cultivation of new prospects and the management of key donor relationships.
- Present research results through written reports and presentations for various audiences.
- Conduct ethical screening and due diligence research on prospects and donors to ensure compliance with DNDi's policies and data protection regulations.
- Manage prospect research related relationships (contractual and budgetary aspects) and monitor expenditure for resource optimization.
An interesting candidate would be someone with
- A deep understanding of the global philanthropic landscape and strong in-depth knowledge of the philanthropic landscape in at least 3-4 countries (US, UK landscape is vital and knowledge of additional markets (Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands or Sweden) highly regarded) with some focus on prospect research experience in developing markets.
- Master’s degree or equivalent with a Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in prospect research experience or a strong equivalent (eg other roles within fundraising) for international NGOs, scientific organisations or organizations with global public health relevance. Some experience with medical research or neglected tropical diseases would be highly regarded.
- Someone who is driven and able to work effectively in a remote team environment and matrix structure
Location: UK, remote or hybrid in London. (The person may be based remotely or with the possibility of being able to work in a hybrid mode in London from MSF’s office 2-3 days per week.)

The role is responsible for overseeing high-quality sourcing of volunteers to join as 1MM Mentors, in London and nationally. This includes partnership development, online site listing, and matching mentors/mentees, and oversight of some corporate programmes. The role will help to establish a pipeline in line with 1MM’s aspirations for 2024 and beyond. This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
1MM Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors main tasks include:

About the team
The Supporter Experience team at Shelter exists to provide expert stewardship to build deep long-term relationships, enhancing the supporter experience to drive income now and increase lifetime values. We ensure supporters feel valued and appreciated by Shelter and understand the impact of their support. We’re part of a wider Community & Events team that sits within an Income Generation directorate. Together, we look after a wide variety of fundraising activities to help fund our mission to ensure a safe home for all. About the role
The main objectives of this role will be to provide excellent supporter care to Shelter’s fundraisers, which will involve building relationships and giving fundraising and event support and advice, and providing efficient administrative support to the department. We want to give you scope to grow into a confident and successful fundraiser, so you will receive training and provide supporter care and admin support across a variety of community & events activities, events and products across all three teams.
About you
Communicating with a variety of people: you will enjoy communicating with people in a variety of different ways, over the phone, face to face, by email, letter and over social media channels.
Time management & organisation: there’s a lot to do, particularly when we have fundraising products live and during the busy winter fundraising period, so it’s important to be able to manage your time well. The team has a really positive collective attitude to helping you do this, and they will suggest different tools and methods to stay on top of your work. But your being organised from the get-go is important.
Attention to detail: in all tasks, you will need to have a good eye for detail to make sure work is completed with a high level of accuracy.
Proactive: there are many activities to get involved with at Shelter, so being proactive ensures you get as much from your role as possible. Within your role you need to take initiative in setting up meetings, asking questions and suggesting/trying new ideas. Beyond this, taking advantage of volunteering in our shops or at events, and visiting local Shelter Hubs, is a great way to understand the cause and sector.
Willingness to be busy: everyone in the team has lots to do and has a range of responsibilities across different areas. To be successful in this role, you need to be willing to be busy during the working day and enjoy the variety this brings.
Flexibility: as this role will support work across the wider Community & Events team throughout the year, it is vital that the successful candidate is adaptable and willing to get stuck into different activities when needed. There will be occasional evening and weekend work to support events, for which time off in lieu will be given.
Positive attitude to learning: one of the most important aspects of the job is being positive and willing to learn. Being open-minded and keen to find solutions to problems is essential.

Your role
As Assistant Shop Manager, it is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Shop Manager in Surbiton's brand new Scope shop (Victoria Road, Surbiton, KT6 4NS). The shop will be opening mid 2024. You will be able to use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Duties and key responsibilities:
Content development:
- Work with the Information and Content Manager to research, write, edit and produce new information materials including print publications, web pages, videos, etc.
- Work in line with Sarcoma UK’s information production process, including:
- Liaise with clinical experts and patient reviewers throughout the content development process
- Maintain formal systems within the information production process in line with the PIF tick quality mark

Content updates & maintenance:

About the Role
- Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accmmodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
- The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
- In this role, you will provide direct support to all the women, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork.
- You will work closely with support workers and the in-house psychologist.
- You will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.
- The post holder will undertake 8-hour shifts, normally Monday to Friday but with flexibility for weekend working, covering the hours 8am to 8pm. This is a 1 year fixed term contract.

The successful candidate must be comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, and working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.
