Background
Congenital Heart Disease affects 1 in 125 newborn babies, it is the most common condition at birth. Around 17,000 babies, children and adults are treated by the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit (LCHU) every year. The LCHU is the specialist heart centre for all of Yorkshire, The Humber, North East Lincolnshire and North Derbyshire.
Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF) provide tailored emotional, financial and practical support and essential resources to heart patients and their families. When families need us most, CHSF provide parent accommodation close to the hospital and a dedicated family support service during a child’s treatment. CHSF also provide vital medical equipment and resources to the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit and 19 regional clinics, including start-up NHS staff roles and specialist training across the network.
CHSF is a completely self-funded charity. Together, we are able to nurture a wonderful community of children, young people, adults and their families affected by congenital heart disease to live empowered lives.
Job Summary
As Fundraising Researcher you'll be responsible for proactively researching potential funders including corporate foundations and community funds, charitable trusts and other organisations to support our ambitious fundraising team. Working closely with the Trusts & Foundations Manager and Corporate Partnership Managers you'll ensure fundraising activity is supported across the organisation with robust research.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Research and identify charitable trusts and foundations, corporate, government and other funding opportunities that align with CHSF’s mission, vision and values.
2. Use prospect research tools and techniques to collate detailed prospect information e.g. business insider bulletins, directories, websites, AI etc.
3. Compile key information about each funding opportunity, including deadlines, eligibility criteria, application questions, and funder priorities, in a structured format.
4. Assist in reviewing and prioritising potential funding opportunities based on suitability for CHSF.
5. Support with impact monitoring and reporting to funders and corporate partners, including liaising with staff at the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit to collect information.
6. Organise and archive past grant applications, ensuring a structured and accessible digital filing system.
7. Support the team by keeping funding research up to date and easy to access for future applications.
8. Collaborate with finance/fundraising teams to ensure grant research aligns with fundraising priorities.
9. Work with the Marketing Team to promote funding received to meet the requirements of the funder.
10. Strong understanding of due diligence, data protection and fundraising regulations.

The Minster Centre is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee that provides training in psychotherapy and counselling and an affordable therapy service.
It was founded in 1978 as the first Integrative psychotherapy and counselling training in the UK and is a leading psychotherapy training institution. Now based in Queens Park, NW London, it runs training ranging from open access introductory courses to post-graduate degrees validated by Middlesex University. The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service (MCPCS) also provides a safe, affordable and professional counselling service to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of difficulties. We strive to offer a high-quality and affordable Psychotherapy and Counselling service to the community and to offer our trainees an experience underpinned by our values.
The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service Administrator will work with the Clinical Services Manager and one other Administrator to ensure the smooth running of the service and support in its continuing development.
Role purpose
Enquiries
- Dealing with phone and email enquiries including potential MCPCS clients, existing clients, trainee therapists and placement providers, etc.
- Emailing Assessment Application Forms, assessing suitability of enquirer for service – asking for additional help when required from the Clinical Services Manager.
Administration
- Providing strong administrative support to the Clinical Services Manager.
- Providing regular detailed data information to the Clinical Services Manager, including reports from Access Database and future Charitylog data systems about functionality of service.
- Inputting and updating student data spreadsheets and client spreadsheets relating to client session fees, providing reports and liaising with students, finance team and clients to ensure all session fees are up to date and reporting on any missed payments weekly.
- Administer MCPCS processes and procedures for instance by designing forms and records formats, ensuring they are available to students, supervisors and clients. Ensuring the service has paperwork available to operate effectively: Assessment packs; Allocation packs; student forms.
- Inputting data from paper records and managing electronic records. Keeping data management up to date and archiving files as and when appropriate.
- Assisting Clinical Services Manager and other senior leadership in overseeing MCPCS, with additional tasks as and when requested.

About the opportunity
We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes.
We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Birmingham.
- The Birmingham Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
- The Birmingham Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
- Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.

To provide appropriate emotional and practical support to women in the sex industry and/or those who are being sexually exploited with a specific focus on those who are homeless. The women we support require intensive practical and emotional support as well as support navigating health and other social care or criminal justice systems. The women will have poor mental or physical health, experience with homelessness and of the criminal justice system, are often victims of sexual and/or domestic abuse and many are homeless. This post specifically will offer support through the Housing First approach, offering access to a home, alongside intensive support. Working within a harm reduction ethos prioritising women’s safety and wellbeing, the intensive personalized supported will help women to access other services making appropriate referrals for women who wish to make changes, including exiting/transitioning out of sex work. You will be responsible for ensuring that women with varying needs are supported effectively throughout their pathway of support with Basis and partners, advocating for and with the women you are working with including where necessary challenging stigma and judgement women face. This post will work in close partnership with the Tenancy Management Support worker employed by Turning Lives Around.
Our services in Leeds provide support to adult women (and those identifying as women/non- binary) involved in all aspects of the sex industry or who are experiencing exploitation. The postholder will provide support to women identified as requiring or accessing intensive support. The team work to Basis’ organisational values, taking a rights-based approach and provide evidence-based services to enable and empower women to make informed choices. The team have an established reputation for providing high quality, effective safety advice, information and support, enabling safer working practices. Services are provided within the community, on evening outreach and at venues as women determine.

As a Community Support Worker, you will work alongside the Community Hub Service Manager, providing frontline support to individuals and families who come to the Makery for help. This role requires proven experience in safeguarding, crisis intervention, and advocacy, as well as the ability to risk assess and respond appropriately to a range of situations.

• Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in community engagement, mental health support, or outreach work, specifically within community settings rather than traditional care environments.

About the opportunity
We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes.
We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Dorset.
- The Dorset Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
- The Dorset Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
- Responsible for overseeing the quality of tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. Provide regular check-ins with tutors to ensure ample support and guidance is given to provide targeted tuition to pupils.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant school staff, offering regular check-ins with key school stakeholders, and contribute to impact reporting to schools. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
- Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
- Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.
