Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our Finance Department, ideally suited to a part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) looking to progress their career in a management accounting role. 

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will support the processing of financial transactions that enable accurate financial records. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of month end for Big Issue Company
  • Preparation of cashflow reports (Big Issue Company and Big Issue Invest)
  • Supporting preparation of periodical forecasts and annual budgets for The Big Issue Company and Big Issue Invest
  • Software system administration
  • Ensuring all accounting transactions are correctly recorded in the accounting system
  • Maintenance of fixed assets registers
  • Reconciliation of intercompany balances 
  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Part Qualified/Finalist (ACCA/CIMA);
  • Strong financial accounting and accounting standards experience 
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel

Salary and Benefits include:

•    Salary of up to £40,000 per annum dependent on experience
