Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will manage the production of the internal and external financial reporting requirements of the organisation, including preparation of management accounts and support the Financial Planning Analyst with reporting. You will be responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts and supporting schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, financial self-evaluation documents, and compliance tasks such as ONS Surveys and Government returns. You will also undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required by the CEO and the Financial Controller.

This role requires strong financial acumen and a high level of confidence to assess and make informed decisions. It also requires a professional qualification e.g. ACCA or equivalent. The successful candidate will be an experienced individual with a high degree of competency in financial management, strategy, operational delivery and related regulation/ legislation. They will also be a reliable, solutions focussed and strategic team player, conversant with preparation of management accounts and reporting.

Reporting into the Senior Finance Officer, this role is jointly responsible for the delivery of a consistent and high-quality purchase ledger function across the Group. The purchase ledger team is integral to ensuring that the Group commitments are accurate and complete each month; and payments are made on a consistent basis in keeping with suppliers’ credit terms and internal policy on expenses.

The key responsibilities of this Purchase Ledger Officer include:

• Record staff expenses and property invoices (e.g., rent, utilities, repairs) promptly across all companies.
• Upload invoices promptly after processing for timely authorisation.
• Ensure invoices comply with delegated authority limits and are correctly coded to budgeted cost centres.
• Verify payment-due invoices against the aged creditors report.
• Track and record direct debit invoices, investigate debit balances, and resolve before month-end.
• Review supplier statements to capture missing invoices and prepare reconciliations for key maintenance and rent accounts.
• Respond to supplier and staff queries per SLA KPIs and forward new supplier forms and bank detail changes as needed.
• Prompt authorisers weekly for timely invoice approval and maintain evidence of key supplier reconciliations.
• Ensure efficient processing of direct debits with proper documentation.
• Follow standardised protocols for setting up suppliers and employees on the accounting system.

The Financial Transactions Manager will oversee the smooth running of the transactional processing of all income and expenditure at the Students’ Union. • Process payments and maintain purchase ledger - process expenses, invoices and other payments in XLedger for payment in a timely and accurate manner and reviews supplier statements and outstanding items regularly and efficiently.

• Compliance and internal controls - Ensure relevant authorisations are obtained, and safeguards and protocols are followed about data protection, internal financial controls, and ethical standards.

For a global NGO, we're recruiting a Project Finance Officer. Reporting to the Project Finance Manager, this role will run efficient programme financial accounting, financial management and financial reporting processes for donor funded programmes and grants. This role will support the full life cycle of grants, from donor proposal to final reporting and will work closely with Finance and Programme teams as well as in-country staff, partner agencies and external Donors.

• Financial planning, and financial management for grant funded programmes

The Role

Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in collaborating across teams to support finance and grantmaking. • Provide leadership and guidance to all things finance related, providing mentoring and support to the team

• Accountability for monitoring that the organisation’s services are, and will, run to budget, supporting budget holders and reporting promptly on risks

• Have ultimate oversight of the external audit and production of the statutory accounts, supported in delivery of this by the Finance & Office Manager

• Oversee production of management accounts and bespoke financial reports, including accurate forecasting, incisive analysis and accessible narrative commentary

• Support the Development team with financial submissions and other compliance areas (eg advising on and supporting with due diligence processes)

• Constantly seeking to develop and improve the organisation’s financial systems, policies and procedures to promote dynamic, best practice and up-to-date application of tools, systems and approaches

• Oversight of finance, governance and basic HR administration, supporting the Finance & Office Manager with high profile or complex queries, seeking specialist advice on financial or compliance matters as required

• Ensure the organisation’s compliance with charity law, in accordance with the Charity Commission in England & Wales

Skills & experience:

• You have interest and belief in our mission, to improve kids’ health through improving food and food education in schools

• You have full or partial qualification through an accredited accountancy body

• You have some experience in a senior finance role (eg Director, Head of, Management Accountant) in any sector, and some experience within a finance function in the 3rd sector (in particular familiarity with the Charity SORP and experience of administering restricted funds)

• You have experience of audit

• You enjoy a mix of leadership and rolling up sleeves to get hands on when the need arises

• You take a pragmatic and dynamic approach to robust financial management

• You can turn complex and dry data, into clear and engaging narrative

• You have project managed the implementation of new systems (accountancy / CRM / data)

• You are organised, methodical, strong on detail, and able to map out deadlines and plan ahead

Our client is looking for 2 experienced Rent Income Officers (Rent Service Partner) to join their dynamic and friendly Rent Service Team. This busy team processes Housing Benefit payments from 55 local authorities in the UK for up to 4000 St Mungo’s residents; and collect over £45 million in rent and service charge plays a key role in the organisation to support clients to rebuild their lives.

In the role of Rent Service Partner, you will:

• Deliver a high quality rent collection and arrears recovery service, supporting our clients by working towards minimising rent arrears and maximising client income.
• Oversee a busy and varied case load of rent arrears cases ensuring outcomes are achieved in a timely manner.
• Use your attention to detail and expert knowledge to complete accurate court applications and present cases to court.  
• Provide an accurate, sensitive and responsive rent account enquiry and information service.
• Work closely with key stakeholders, being the lead liaison with Local Authorities for a designated caseload.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from their office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. They support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week, from home.

About you

They are looking for people with experience of working in a rent service, income collection or credit control team, with good problem solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team. If you can demonstrate the below, we encourage you to apply.

• Proven experience of using prioritisation and organisation skills to oversee a busy case load of rent arrears cases.
• Knowledge of the court system and legal process relating to debt recovery, and experience of presenting cases to court.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective liaison with tenants to provide quality advice and support, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability of using relevant software packages (e.g. Pyramid Rent Accounting) and other IT applications and databases, such as Microsoft Office to support effective working practices in a busy target driven role.
