About the role

Our client has an exciting opportunity within the leadership team.

Working with their Executive team and the Assistant Director of Assets, Assistant Director of Housing and Assistant Director of People & Culture, you’ll play a key part in shaping the direction and future of their organisation – supporting the development of their corporate strategy and service design and helping shape and deliver their performance objectives and annual plans and priorities.

You will also play a key role in helping them to find and secure new funding streams. This will support their ambitious target to deliver 1,000 new homes in the local area over the next 10 years – making a real difference to thousands of people in need of quality, affordable homes across the county.

As a qualified Accountant, you will have proven experience in managing both financial and management accounting functions that deliver a high performing finance service in a dynamic environment. You will also have experience of managing resource functions such as finance, IT and project management.

About our client

As a registered charity, they provide over 4,000 affordable homes in the beautiful Forest of Dean and surrounding areas.

They are more than just a landlord - their organisation is dedicated to creating great homes and supporting the communities they work in. Their team offers a wide range of additional services to help improve the lives of their tenants from help and advice on debt and welfare to repairs, maintenance and adaptations.

The social housing sector faces many challenges – building safety, managing the pressures of Universal Credit on their tenants and responding to the environmental challenges.  Their tenant satisfaction scores suggest they’re managing these challenges well – but this Top 100 organisation stands out from the rest because of its profit-for-purpose activities.

They believe that by investing in their team, they can provide the very best support and value to their tenants, while maintaining the corporate health of their organisation.
