Spotlight’s team consists of an Executive Director, Deputy Director, Head of Finance & Operations, Senior Policy & Campaign Lead, Senior Advocacy Adviser, Senior Communications Advisor, and Senior Policy Researcher. The Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager is a new role, bringing the staff team to eight. In the six years since it was established, Spotlight has had significant trust fundraising success and established strong relationships with institutional funders who understand our work and its impact. We are looking for someone experienced, ambitious and creative to be our first Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager, to drive our fundraising strategy, create new opportunities and relationships, lead the cultivation and stewardship of new trust funders, and develop a new major donor fundraising programme.

In this role you will have strategic accountability for fundraising and overseeing progress towards fundraising targets, working with the team and the Board to generate ideas and deliver proposals for raising funds, and for highlighting our impact to potential donors. You will be a hands-on fundraiser, who builds relationships with donors, keeps on top of developments in the funding landscape, develops compelling and creative pitches and proposals for funders, and as a result delivers sustainable income generation to ensure Spotlight achieves our organisational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on executing Spotlight’s fundraising strategy and donor management

• Identify, maintain and develop a robust pipeline of prospects and funders across high-net-worth individuals, trusts and foundations and other appropriate giving vehicles

• Nurture long-term relationships with existing and prospective trusts and foundations, high net-worth individuals and Donor-Advised Funds

• Work with the team to develop exciting ideas to pitch to funders and to highlight our impact, as well as identifying funding gaps and opportunities

• Prepare and submit high-quality, tailored grant applications to secure trust funding for specific projects and core activities

Person specification - essential criteria

• A creative and proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative and generate new opportunities

We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Finance Manager who will provide accurate and timely financial reporting for the denomination, advise budget holders and senior stakeholders on all financial related matters, have oversight of a small finance team and provide support to local congregational treasurers on charity finance and best practice. 

The Finance Manager will have strong accounting skills, be experienced in financial reporting, be highly organised and self-motivated and will have a desire to manage Church finances well. Experience of charity finance and guiding non-finance stakeholders would be helpful. 

There is an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 for the post holder to be a committed Christian. As such, the successful candidate will be a Christian with an active commitment in a local church congregation, who is supportive of the values, aims and ethos of the Free Church of Scotland.

This Finance Manager role is based in the Central Office in Edinburgh with the option of some remote working. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to use their professional skills in a vocational Christian role.

We are seeking a results-driven Acquisition Marketing Manager (known at Guide Dogs as Committed Giving Acquisition Campaign Manager) to lead our Acquisition team and manage supporter acquisition across key regular giving fundraising products such as Sponsor a Puppy and Lucky Lottery. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering marketing plans to maximise income, meet acquisition targets, and ensure the long-term success of our campaigns.

You’ll manage and execute direct marketing campaigns ensuring they meet income and expenditure goals. You will also line manage and lead a team of Officers and Executives to deliver these campaigns, collaborating with the Committed Giving Product Manager to support their development. Key responsibilities include contributing to the wider fundraising strategy, analysing campaign data to optimise return on investment, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. The Friends of Moorfields is a registered charity supporting the patients and staff at Moorfields Eye Hospital, a world centre of excellence for the specialist treatment of eye diseases.

About the role

This is a fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Charity Shop Manager to join our team at our Exeter-based charity.

This new role will combine providing support and/or absence cover to our existing shops, along with getting involved in other opportunities for growth and development across the retail team (e.g. volunteering). Working in the shops may involve working to support the shop manager, or stepping in for them at short notice (and quickly getting to grips with their shop, processes, staff, volunteers and customers). Responsibilities

Our partner seeks a driven and astute grants finance officer to support in the financial management and monitoring of projects being implemented in Asia, Africa and Latin America. This is a newly created position, and will suit someone who is meticulous, has strong attention to detail and able to manage relationships with a number of global stakeholders.

• Manage the financial transactions and entries, prepare and process income receipts and maintain accurate digital records and ensure proper filing of all financial documentation on internal systems.

• Experience and understanding of the compliance and administrative of a complex grants portfolio, including grants from institutions donors.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with colleagues working globally.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and a strong command of the English language.

About the Role

Position: Fundraising & Development Manager

The Aga Khan Foundation (UK), is hiring a Finance Manager, to lead the financial management and oversight of Schools2030 programme, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant financial accounting, reporting, and oversight. Financial oversight, planning, and reporting

• Produce monthly financial reports on Schools2030 for the AKF(UK) Finance Committee.

The Role

In this role, you will support the Director of Finance in providing a proactive, efficient, and highly effective finance service across the Diocesan Board of Finance and Trust custodian company, as well as supporting the larger finance team who look after the Board of Education.

The role will include taking ownership of the budget and forecast for ODBF, running the month-end and reporting process and interacting with Heads of Department and key Diocese clergy in helping to run their day-to-day operations.  The role will also take the lead in managing the tax and statutory reporting, and appropriate training assistance will be made available as required. The role

Effective financial management is central to our strategy and operating model. The Finance Manager will be crucial in determining how we manage our finances, resources and operations whilst embedding a culture of financial efficiency and effective controls.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance will lead on financial matters and be expected to provide critical financial information, insightful analysis and timely reporting to facilitate the growth of the Charity.

The role is standalone but working within a closeknit team. It with therefore have a degree of autonomy but will be expected to contribute to the wider development of the Charity. This is a pivotal appointment within the Charity and will provide some broad exposure to the Board and Investment Committee.

We are therefore seeking a dynamic qualified accountant who has had wide exposure to financial reporting and processes, preferably within a fundraising Charity. Being a financial ‘all rounder’, there is a real opportunity to contribute to the way the Charity operates by instilling sound financial operations and providing meaningful financial reporting. The role provides an opportunity to lead the finance function and will suit a progressive accountant looking for this kind of responsibility.

The Society

The Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) is the learned society and professional body for geography and geographers. It is also a charity and a membership organisation. The Society was founded in 1830 and has been one of the most active of the learned societies ever since. It was pivotal in establishing geography as a teaching and research discipline in British universities and continues to play a key role in geographical and environmental education.

The Society is a leading world centre for geographical learning – supporting education, teaching, research, professional practice and scientific expeditions, as well as promoting public understanding and enjoyment of geography and providing advice to policymakers.

The Position

The IT Manager will work with our outsourced helpdesk provider to deliver maximum availability of the network, data and systems, to ensure we are secure and compliant and to provide support and training to our staff. The IT infrastructure includes an extensive wired and Wi-Fi network throughout the building with approaching 100 Wi-Fi access points. This network is critical for the smooth running of the Society’s day to day activities and the successful operation of events on the premises, which account for turnover in excess of £1m p.a.

The IT Manager will also be the internal technical/project lead on the ongoing development of the Society’s CRM system, Centrepoint’s oomi product.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a permanent, full-time post subject to successful completion of a probationary period of three months. The salary range for this post is £45,000-£55,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The post is based in Kensington, London.
