Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Work closely with the Committee and key stakeholders focusing on a shared vision, mission of Lewisham Giving and to successfully deliver the strategy.

· Produce an annual plan of work that sets out the key priorities and activities for Lewisham Giving and is approved by the Committee

· Proactively establish and nurture a network of businesses, residents, community organisations, and individuals who will contribute time, money, skills, opportunities and connections to ensure a sustainable Giving model for Lewisham.

· Commission or carry out research as necessary to understand unmet need and inform plans to maximise impact.

· Further develop the giving model for Lewisham through co-design with residents and other relevant agencies and monitor and report on their impact.

About the role

The Operations Volunteering Experience Coordinator helps people with sight loss live the life they choose by ensuring volunteers in Operations-based roles are set up for success by preparing and training them for their role. We currently have 2 roles available one would work across the two teams in Sheffield & Notthingham; and the other to work across the two teams in Atherton & Liverpool. A typical fortnight would include days working from the office, days in the community, and some home working. The role holder will manage the time and location of their working days.

About the role

An exciting role to deliver a tailored package of support that will help Reigate and Banstead Council to increase levels of active travel in the area. You will engage with schools, workplaces, and communities to support and enable more people to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot for local everyday journeys, instead of taking the car. 

As the Project Officer, you will plan and deliver fun, innovative and engaging activities such as mapping safe routes, leading rides and walks, practical skills sessions, competitions, initiatives and information events. The range of activities, events and resources will be adapted to meet the needs of the different audiences and will be designed to be inclusive so as many people as possible can benefit from the project and more local journeys can be travelled actively. 

This role will require you to work with a range of people across local and diverse communities, workplaces and schools in Reigate and Banstead. Creating relationships with key people and employers, understanding the barriers, challenges and opportunities to actively travel. You will be working closely with others to develop a programme of activities.

You will have the opportunity to give people confidence, enthusiasm and skills to travel more actively, through events and community activities. 

You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as school or community travel champions, local authority colleagues and other Sustrans delivery officers. 

Within the role, there will be an expectation to capture the impact of the project through completing reporting and monitoring, writing case studies, capturing quotes and photos and contributing to an end of project report. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

You should have experience of working with children and young people within a community setting and delivering physical activities to groups. Your knowledge of the local area will help you form relationships with a wide range of organisations, groups, and individuals.

XLP is a vibrant youth work charity dedicated to shaping bright futures for young people. Leading the charge against poverty and educational failure in inner London, we offer holistic, long-term support to 11 to 25 year olds in both schools and communities.

Over the past eight years XLP has run a nationally recognised mentoring programme which runs in nine London boroughs. These mentoring projects target at risk young people between 11 – 18 who are on the verge of exclusion or excluded from school, at risk of involvement or already involved in crime, and isolated from their communities. We’re looking for a Mentoring Manager to join the team to recruit, train, monitor and supervise mentors sourced from the local community in North London. These mentors commit to providing 1-2 hours face to face per week for a minimum of 12 months with their allocated mentee.​

•Proven ability and experience in analysing data which enables sound conclusions and recommendations to be drawn to work in a way which always considers long-term goals whilst maintaining an overview of its immediate situation

•Track record of working in partnership with senior leadership teams, based on a coaching approach

As an expert in people safety and secutrity, you will enable us to serve the persecuted church well, by finding the right balance between keeping our people as safe as we can and still being free to do everything we need to do and go anywhere we need to go as a ministry. 

You will work across the various entities within the organisation, to take a holistic view on advising managers and staff on safety and security. You will analyze and advise on security incidents, enable greater organizational learning and awareness, and help managers and staff to comply with agreed security procedures, while working cross-culturally. In the event of a crisis situation, you will advise on all aspects of handling the situation. You will be fully aligned with the core values of Open Doors and have a passion to serve the Persecuted Church. This role reports to the Director of People and Culture.

Your key responsibilities

·Advise proactively on identified threats and risks, and on specific staff safety and security matters on request.

·Provide a cross-organization perspective on how staff safety and security management can improve.

·Promote a culture of safety and security.

·Encourage an approach to compliance with our global security policy and handbook, which respects the need for organisational responsibility as well as the calculated acceptance of necessary risks.

·Provide advice in any crisis situation, including as part of a crisis management team.

·Maintain a record of staff safety and security incidents and near-misses, and analyze learnings and trends.

·Develop security-related learning needs analyses, and enable learning solutions.

·Support and work together with regional and local staff security experts and point persons.

·Relevant education and experience.

·Able to provide advice and practical support on a wide range of safety and security matters.

·Able to work practically and give advice in critical situations.

·Analytical and abstract thinker.

·Excellent communicator and influencer, able to work with people at all levels in an organisation and in different cultures.

·Experience of managing change and providing or facilitating learning.

·Result- oriented with proven project management skills and the ability to deliver on time.
