About Worcester Community Trust

Worcester Community Trust is a registered charity that runs six community centres in the City of Worcester providing crucial facilities for community use, activities and services, empowering people of all ages. We deliver a wide range of services that make a difference to the daily lives of people in our communities including the socially isolated, the lonely, victims of domestic abuse and the wider community.

The Role

Worcester Community Trust is looking to appoint a Service Manger to lead on our Wellbeing Projects which aim to provide support services to socially isolated and vulnerable people in our communities.

This role will manage three main wellbeing services; the Community Connectors Project, the PLUS (People Like Us) Service and the Snack and Chat project.

These services provide both 1 to 1 and small group support and activities to reduce loneliness and isolation and improve feelings of wellbeing. We bring people together to create peer support networks and to connect people to mainstream professional services, supporting them to become volunteers and invest back into the local community.

Essential criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing multiple projects within health and wellbeing services with proven ability to deliver against a range of outcomes
  • Experience of managing contracts and SLA’s including performance, compliance, and quality
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple work streams and funder requirements
  • An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals affected by poor health, wellbeing, and loneliness
