The Operations Assistant provides the coordination, administration and organisational support that enables New Wine's Operations Team to flourish.
Working closely with the Head of Operations, this role supports the smooth running of the charity by coordinating recruitment administration, governance processes, office operations, compliance records, events and organisational systems.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who enjoys organising people and projects, improving processes and making things happen behind the scenes. Roles and Responsibilities
1. Operational Administration
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Operations Team.
Coordinate operational workflows, ensuring tasks and priorities are delivered efficiently.
Maintain operational documentation and filing systems.
Support the implementation of new operational processes and improvements.
Maintain shared operational trackers and action plans.
2. People and HR Administration
Coordinate recruitment administration, including arranging interviews and communicating with candidates.

Coordinate the day-to-day running of the office.

Role Particulars
Working Pattern
Full-time, including weekly (Tuesday) in-person team meetings in London. The rhythm is as follows: All-staff meetings on 1st and 3rd week of the month, and individual Operational team days on the 2nd and 4th week of the month. The nature of this role means that some travel and working away from home will be required, as agreed in advance. Specifically, the post holder must be available for the annual leadership conference and the New Wine summer festival.

This role is eligible for hybrid and flexible working, with a minimum of 1 day in the London office a week
Supervision
The post holder will receive regular supervision from the Head of Operations.

This role is new, created to focus on community fundraising which is a growing area with huge potential for PCR. You will work with the team to create and deliver a plan for this new proactive approach and will lead on day-to-day relationship management with fundraisers.
You will also lead the project management and delivery of some community-focused fundraising events. For example,our annual Snowdonia for Science event or testing new PCR-owned products which work for a community fundraising audience. We currently expect the split of time to be roughly 75% on community fundraising and 25% on events, but the two areas will be closely connected, and this split may change over time. You will report to the Head of Events & Community and work closely with the whole team, as well as colleagues across PCR. Most of the Events team try to work together once a week when possible at our London office (Chancery Lane) but we have flexible working arrangements, so you can choose to be office based or hybrid. The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an organised and proactive Policy and External Affairs Assistant to support the delivery of our influential policy, public affairs and external engagement work across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the College’s Policy and External Affairs Department, providing vital administrative and project support across three key teams: Health Policy, Policy and Public Affairs (Devolved Nations), and Media and Public Affairs. Working at the heart of the College’s policy and advocacy activity, you will help ensure that the voices of paediatricians and children’s health professionals are heard and reflected in national policy development.
Reporting to the Policy Manager, you will play a central role in supporting committees, coordinating member engagement activities, managing communications and assisting with policy projects. You will work closely with senior officers, committee chairs, members and colleagues across the College to help deliver high-quality policy and public affairs activity that supports better health outcomes for children and young people.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting the administration of policy and public affairs committees, including preparing agendas, papers, minutes and action logs
• Providing guidance and administrative support to committee Chairs, Officers and members
• Responding to member enquiries and correspondence through desk-based research and liaison with policy colleagues and subject experts
• Supporting policy projects, task and finish groups, events and stakeholder engagement activities
• Coordinating and administering the Policy and External Affairs member insights network, including communications, database management and event support
• Assisting with the development, review and maintenance of College policy position statements and consultation responses
• Supporting the drafting and publication of policy updates, reports and briefing materials
• Preparing reports for committees and Executive Committee meetings

Essential skills and experience include:
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant professional experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong report-writing abilities
• Strong research skills with the ability to analyse, summarise and present complex information clearly
• Experience working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and teams
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy when handling information, data and documentation
