What will you be doing?

Depending on your skills and availability, you may support with: 

• Welcoming and engaging women participants into the session
• Helping to set up and pack down the space (chairs, refreshments, sign-in sheets)
• Supporting the delivery of group activities (e.g. creative arts, health talks, mindfulness)
• Listening and signposting women to staff or support services
• Supporting guests with form-filling, where relevant
• Encouraging peer connection and reducing isolation
• Assisting with data collection, light admin or feedback forms 

You will be supported to work within WSUP’s trauma-informed and psychologically informed (TIC/PIE) approach. Lived experience is welcome but not essential.

We are seeking new trustees to strengthen our Board and help shape the future of vital services for older people across our three boroughs.

We are looking for dedicated, passionate people, of all ages, with a range of professional and life experience, to join the Age UK RBH Board of Trustees.

You'll join a trustee team with a vast amount of personal and professional experience across a whole range of fields.  You’ll be warmly welcomed, participate fully in the governance of our charity and all that entails, and supported to develop your skills.

We'd love to hear from you whether you're an experienced trustee or have never been one. It's just important that you're passionate about creating a fair and equal society for older people and can embody our values.

It is not essential to be an older person yourself (due to a majority of older people on the existing board).

Wekume is a comprehensive mobile app designed to provide university students in Uganda with seamless access to reproductive health services, including counseling, testing, products, and health education, while also offering personal development resources like business incubation and career-building opportunities.

Role (Volunteer, unpaid): Partnership Support Volunteer

Role Description:

The Partnerships Support Volunteer will assist the Partnership lead in coordinating, managing, and expanding Wekume’s partnerships with local and international organizations, companies, institutions, and individuals. The volunteer will support communication, research, documentation, and follow-ups to ensure smooth and effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Jumble Sales Organiser Volunteer

Would you like to raise funds, have fun and join a super team of volunteers who together make our Jumble Sales in Thatcham a great success?  As Jumble Sales Organiser you would be helping to make everything run smoothly for the team.

Time Expectations:  1 Saturday every other month (plus preparations)

This could be a shared role and tasks may include:

· Booking the hall for future Jumbles

· Contacting the Jumble team before events to check availability

· Set up stalls, running a stall and packing away at the end

· Collecting any items/resources needed from the centre the day before

Without volunteers, Cats Protection Berkshire Cat Centre simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.

We're often looking to welcome new volunteers to join our brilliant team. As well as meeting great people and making an incredible difference to the cats of Berkshire.

Female English Support Volunteer – Help Refugee Women Thrive

Location: Maidstone or Folkestone
Commitment: Around 2 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM)

Do you want to make a real difference in someone’s life? Join the Refugee Council’s Kent Resettlement Team as a Female English Support Volunteer and help refugee women and families build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging.

About the Role

Language is one of the biggest barriers refugees face when starting a new life in the UK. By volunteering, you’ll provide a safe, friendly space for women to practise English, learn useful phrases for everyday life, and gain the confidence to navigate their new community.

You’ll work one-to-one or with small family groups in their homes, adapting activities to suit their needs. From informal conversations to creative exercises, you’ll make learning fun and practical.

What You’ll Do

• Support conversational English, reading, and writing
• Introduce everyday vocabulary (e.g., shopping, visiting a pharmacy)
• Encourage confidence and independence through engaging activities
• Work under the guidance of our ESOL Tutor and Resettlement Worker

Shannon Trust fulfils an unmet need around adult learning, supporting people who’ve fallen through the cracks in formal education.

We know a lot of people have had negative learning experiences in the past, so our programme is designed to be different, with no exams and no classrooms. Our unique, evidence-based Turning Pages reading manuals and Count Me In numeracy manuals are used by thousands of learners in prisons and the community to improve reading and numeracy skills. 

Prison volunteers live near to their local prison so that they can visit about once a month during the working week to nurture the growth of the Shannon Trust in their prison. They help unlock the power of reading by offering advice, guidance, training and support to prison staff and prisoner mentors who help other prisoners to improve their skills 1 to 1.

We are looking for volunteers who are able to give a regular, reliable commitment for ideally two years and able to deliver engaging training to groups of people in prisons. Volunteers do not need to be teachers or qualified traininers, full training will be given. Due to the nature of the role, prison security vetting will be required.

We provide training for the role via e-learning and 4 training sessions which are a mix of live, online and group training.

Barefoot and Free is a small UK-based charity that gifts unforgettable staycations to families with neurodivergent children or children affected by trauma.

We are seeking creative and committed Volunteer Fundraisers to help us grow our small charity.
