We have a unique opportunity to join Oasis Hub Lord’s Hill as part of our work with students and families. This role will create real impact in the Lord’s Hill Community by working alongside our Academy colleagues to support families of Oasis students and the wider community. Helping more families to engage with support and provision, including the therapeutic space of our city farm.
We’re looking for an individual who has a passion for supporting families and compassion for all, to take on this exciting role. You’ll need to be an effective communicator and ready to work with some of our hardest to reach families with drive and initiative. Best of all, you’ll be supported by a thriving team of people who are dedicated to supporting families and young people in our community, city farm and academy
The successful post holder must have:
· Experience of family support
· Experience of managing and working with volunteers
· Good project management skills, able to balance a range of priorities.
· Good standard of basic education, including English and Maths Level 2

As Family Support Worker you will provide support for the family using a variety of interventions including motivational interviewing, solution-focused approaches and accredited parenting strategies. You will identify and signpost beneficiaries to a range of specialist agencies who can offer further support and will collect appropriate data and information to ensure accurate programme monitoring and evaluation.

What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.
As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

Effro is an innovative dementia project which is part of Platfform for Change. It seeks to promote and support the benefits of physical activity and mental stimulation in slowing the progression of a range of conditions that are under the dementia umbrella.
Building on a range of UK and international approaches we work in a person centred, individual way to help people living with dementia to regain a sense of their own identity whilst offering vital short-term respite to those who care for them. Effro offers a range of training and advice to professionals and the public to help them better understand dementia and support those living with it.
Case Workers in the Effro project have a wide ranging and diverse role, 2 days are rarely the same, you will be in the dementia community supporting individuals on a 121 basis to identify goals, draw up a bucket list and remain as physically active as possible. You will build relationships with the individual living with dementia and be able to spend quality time with the in pursuit of their goals.
Groups are carried out wherever there is a community of people living with dementia, primarily, but by no means limited to, nursing/residential home settings. Case workers will receive role specific training from our in-house training team as well as having access to a wide range mandatory and optional organisational training.

Location: We are seeking someone located in Southampton/Eastleigh/Portsmouth/Fareham and immediate surrounding area. Travel required across the South Coast, focusing primarily on Hampshire and Dorset, including Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) and surroundings.

The Role:
The Fostering Recruitment Officer/Family Support Worker role focuses on working with prospective and approved foster carers, children and families. You will be available to respond to and visit prospective foster carers as well as plan and participate in recruitment events across the region, contribute to face-to-face and online activities and opportunities to support those interested in fostering.
This role requires the candidate to support children and young people in person and attend recruitment activities across the South Coast, focusing primarily on Hampshire and Dorset, including Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) and surroundings. Therefore, the use of a car suitable for transporting children is an essential requirement of the post, along with the ability to travel extensively, working flexibly around hours and days, including occasional weekends and occasional evenings, as key support to children and their carers and to respond to prospective carers' availability. Flexibility is required in the role to manage and support at short notice, meeting the needs of the children/service.
All employees are home-based but are required to travel regularly to the above locations and attend monthly face-to-face meetings, wellbeing events, and training events.

SALARY & HOURS OF WORK
Full Time - 3 days a week (22.5 hours)
Salary - Gross £27,500 actual salary £16,500 per annum
Term - Permanent
Annual Leave - FTE entitlement is 23 days pro rata plus public and bank holidays
Pension: Workplace pension contributions of 5% per month will be paid by NUM.
About NUMbrella Lane: NUMbrella Lane (NBL) is one of few sex worker-led services in Scotland. It has been operating since 2022 after National Ugly Mugs (NUM) took over aspects of the programming from the charity that ran Umbrella Lane. Since then, the project has evolved to provide in-person health and wellbeing support to Scotland-based sex workers and host events and outings within the community with a focus on community connectivity, reducing isolation and addressing root causes of interpersonal and intersectional violence.
Role Summary: The main purpose of the Vocational Support Delivery and Development Assistant is to provide trauma-informed, non-judgemental vocational support to sex workers in Scotland. Support members to access tools, resources and pathways to income stability, career development and community-based opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Base & logistics: Activities are delivered UK-wide via a digital platform, remote services, and in-person hubs. NUM delivers its services UK-wide through a combination of digital resources, remote services and in-person hubs, including NUMbrella Lane in Glasgow. Staff work on a hybrid basis, with the balance of home and location based working based on business needs .This role is primarily in person at our Glasgow venue, with occasional travel possible for meetings, events, and outreach. There is some flexibility for working from home on tasks for which a physical presence in the Glasgow base is not required.
Essential Skills and Experience:
You may have developed these skills through employment, self employment, volunteering, education, or community activism. Not having experience in traditional mainstream employment should not discourage you from applying for this role.
