This role is responsible for empowering a caseload of clients to maintain their wellbeing, independence, and tenancy, while supporting them to achieve personal goals and aspirations. You will also support the manager with housing management tasks including rent collection, arrears, voids, repairs, and budgets, ensuring properties are safe, services run effectively, and contractual obligations are consistently met.

Here's what the team will be looking for

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting people with mental health needs and working with criminal justice services, with an understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks. They should have a good knowledge of health and safety within accommodation-based services and be able to monitor and maintain safety, security, and maintenance needs.

Basic housing management knowledge, including maintenance and repairs, is required, along with strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills to produce clear written communication and records. A sound understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to respond appropriately is essential.

This fixed term role is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative, forward-thinking partnership, combining holistic, patient-led care with trauma-informed values and support.

KSS Provider Collaborative provides inpatient secure services to adults across the Kent, Surrey, and Sussex area, including women detained under the Mental Health Act.  In partnership with The Women’s Support Centre Surrey, Brighton Women’s Centre (BWC) will be delivering 1:1 wellbeing support and group activities to women based in secure forensic units.

The goal is to co-design and deliver weekly group activities aimed at improving well-being, confidence and support. The Women’s Senior Enhancement Worker will also be responsible for a small caseload of women, providing 1-1 support around transitions into the next appropriate setting, which could mean another hospital, supported accommodation or independent living.

Alongside your own caseload, you will provide trauma-informed, strengths-based line-management to a team of two Women’s Enhancement Workers based in other hospitals. Together you will be creating safe, non-judgmental spaces in which to co-produce support across a range of needs, building on your service-users knowledge, confidence and connections.

The Women’s Secure Senior Enhancement Worker will be informed by BWC’s values, policies and procedures and will understand the importance of building trust and self-esteem with service users while working collaboratively with key staff and agencies.

You will be responsible for promoting this service within the partnership and across external pathways, as well as overseeing and completing reporting requirements for this project on the BWC database.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS and other new starter checks.

• Provide personalised brief intervention and social prescribing support to individuals, their families and carers.

• Provide person-centred support to enable clients to identify their health and wellbeing needs and goals. Co-produce support plans with clients to discuss what’s important, where they would like to be in the future and how we can support them to achieve this. 

• Manage and prioritise a caseload to ensure clients' needs, priorities and urgent support are met.

• MYcommunity Lambeth works in partnership with a large number of statutory and community services and organisations across the borough. You will link clients with appropriate services to meet their needs. It is vital to have a strong understanding of when it is necessary to refer someone back to health care professionals/ agencies when the client’s needs are beyond the scope of the MYcommunity team.

• Previous social prescribing experience.

This can include liaising with project partners and suppliers, booking transportation and project venues, communication with young people and ensuring relevant consents and permissions are obtained. ● Act as a point of contact and build good relationships with partners. ● Liaise with our Partners including social workers, foster carers, parents and accommodation providers and meet BLFs safeguarding commitments by ensuring all paperwork and consents are in place. ● Manage general enquiries and referrals coming through our website and the contact@ email ensuring these are directed to the appropriate team members in a timely manner. ● Data capture and monitoring: populating SalesForce campaigns and ensuring registers for all activities are kept up to date ● Provide planning and admin support for our Summer Programme, Refugee Week and End of Year celebrations, including booking venues and transportation, liaising with project partners and communications with stakeholders. ● Occasional in-person project delivery support might be required.

Chiva is looking for a compassionate and experienced Specialist Support Officer to provide emotional support, advocacy, and practical guidance to children, young people, and families affected by HIV across London.

Who We’re Looking For

You will be a qualified social worker or registered health and social care professional with experience of supporting children, young people and families with complex needs. A passion for empowering young people and promoting inclusive, person-centred support is essential.
