The role of Retail Co-ordinator is crucial to the smooth and efficient operation of The Children’s Trust retail head office function. The postholder will be responsible for co-ordinating and running the administration and compliance needs required for a disperse network of charity shops, including being the gatekeeper for the Chariot EPOS system, Retail Gift Aid and New bought in goods, supporting the supply and distribution of stock; shop supplies, and associated stakeholder relationships.
Role Requirements
- Manage the Retail EPOS till and Head-office systems to maximise functionality to drive sales and promotions, create reports to support analysis of shops performance.
- Support the Retail Sales Manager to manage generation and distribution of stock, including preparing documentation for van deliveries and collections to meet both shops, customer and donor requirements.
- Support sales promotions by printing and issuing guidelines and promotional materials i.e. fundraising events and seasonal changes across the chain of shops.
- Maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships including Retail Gift Aid donors, corporate supporters and internal support teams, ensuring that an efficient and compliant service is maintained.
- Manage the shared retail email inboxes acting on requests, leading on responses or signposting/escalating as required to ensure that the retail supporter journey is optimised and relationships are managed holistically.
- Support communications to shops including posting updates onto Retail Teams-Sharepoint.
- Support stock holding and distribution of shop supplies including ordering products using Access Purchase orders.
- Support the Retail Management Team to build a positive team culture across the retail team and wider cross directorate collaboration to deliver the voluntary income strategy.
- Support Retail management to maintain full compliance of the Children’s Trust shops in line with all Health & Safety legislation, Fire safety, Trading Standards, Retail Gift Aid, GDPR, ThankQ CRM, Risk Assessments, Safeguarding and all other legal or statutory requirements.
- Manage the Retail Gift Aid scheme and processes, working with colleagues and shops managers to optimise gift aid database and associated sales while meeting HMRC rules.
- Develop and support delivery of internal and external audit processes, including New Goods stocktakes, working with Retail Management to ensure that all audit actions and recommendations are delivered by the team.

About Shooting Star Children’s Hospices
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Events Manager to join our Care Team at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices provides specialist care and support to families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or whose child has died. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, we support families across Surrey, north-west London and south-west London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.
Our Care Events Team provide an extensive programme of groups and events for the 800 life-limited children, their families and bereaved families. There are themed family events, social groups for siblings of different ages, pamper days for mums, counselling groups, bereavement café, memorial days and many festive events such as ice-skating at Hampton Court. Taking place at our hospices and in the communities we serve, there are 5-6 events each week, offering important opportunities for families to make memories together.
About the role
The Care Events Manager is responsible for the delivery and oversight of the annual programme of events. The Care Event Manager leads the Care Events Team, including an Events Assistant, Events Management Intern, Counsellor and care events volunteers, and working with family support workers, children’s therapists and counsellors to deliver an incredible programme of creative and inclusive experiences. The Care Events Manager works alongside the Lead Therapist and Lead Counsellor to ensure that family support at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is everything the children and families need it to be.
At a weekly meeting, the team are made aware of children and family members who are struggling and think together about where they might benefit from the opportunity to spend time with others who share similar experiences or receive group therapy. Utilising professional events management skills, each event is planned meticulously to be a safe and inviting space. Providing this opportunity for families is integral to their mental wellbeing.
About you
This role requires an individual with professional events management experience, with a proven track record of executing high-profile and bespoke events. The individual should have skills in marketing, events administration and able to create events for families from diverse backgrounds. Excellent project management skills are required to keep the fast-paced programme on track, alongside diligence in health and safety. Leadership and management expertise enable the team to thrive, so that we can provide outstanding support to families. The Care Events Manager should be a compassionate and caring individual, sensitive to the needs of families at Shooting Star, with the emotional resilience to work with families who are experiencing grief and trauma. This is a unique opportunity for an events manager to utilise their skillset to make a huge difference to the families that we support.

The Role

Respite and Care Executives play a significant role in enabling our beneficiaries to continue to be independent for as long as possible and when/if they require formal care, they can support them during this time too. They work closely with the Advocacy Team and the Friendships and Connections team to ensure that all their needs are met.
We are looking for a candidate to cover Maternity Leave for 14 months. They will work alongside the current post holder and the other team members for 2 months to learn the role and take over existing cases. Purpose of the Role
The Development Manager will play a vital role in expanding The Churchill Fellowship’s income from Trusts, Foundations, and other institutional funders. Working closely with the Development Director, the post holder will identify, cultivate and secure new funding partnerships that support our core Fellowship programme, unrestricted income, and the Activate Programme in line with our organisational priorities.

We’re looking for compassionate and organised Parent Programme Officers to help deliver the Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC) Safer Lives parenting programme as part of a new initiative funded by the Youth Endowment Fund.

About the job
As a Parent Programme Officer for the SFSC: Safer Lives project, you’ll work directly with parents and caregivers of young people aged 11–18 who are at risk of or affected by youth violence.
You will:
- Build trusted relationships with families, co-facilitators, peer researchers, colleagues and referral partners.
- Support the delivery of inclusive, safe, effective and engaging parenting programmes.
- Coordinate logistics, manage data, uphold safeguarding standards.
- Contribute to research and evaluation, ensuring our work is evidence-based and informed by lived experience.
About You
We’re looking for:
- Experienced SFSC practitioners, or those with strong experience in other group parenting programmes
- Skilled communicators who are organised, empathetic and collaborative
- Professionals with a strong track record of working with Black, Asian and minoritised ethnic communities, and an understanding of the challenges they face
- Professionals with experience in safeguarding, partnership working and programme delivery
- People who can build rapport and handle sensitive situations with care and professionalism

About the Project
Funded by the Youth Endowment Fund, our intervention and research project, SFSC: Safer Lives, works to prevent offending and reduce youth violence by strengthening family relationships, increasing parental confidence, and promoting young people’s self-discipline, social skills and self-esteem.
The SFSC: Safer Lives programme builds on the ground-breaking work of the Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities inclusive parenting programme, which has demonstrated how parenting support can be provided effectively to minoritised and marginalised families.
