The Role

We have an ambitious membership growth target of 20%. In order to achieve this we need to be setting up new groups across the UK at scale. We have recently changed our marketing approach and are able to generate high volumes of high-quality enquiries.  But we have lots of areas without groups or with groups who are full and not able to accept new members.  We therefore need someone to take charge of setting up new groups at scale, ensuring the process for doing so is robust and streamlined.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will manage the end-to-end new group set up process:

• Identify geographical location for new group – based on no existing groups in area, local groups being full and/or volunteer availability  
• Source local volunteers and work with them to get new groups up and running
• Help them to identify suitable venue and time for first meeting and free and low cost opportunities to promote new groups in local area
• Work with Social Media Assistants to execute local level organic digital outreach via community Facebook groups and websites
• Outreach to local social prescribers to encourage them to signpost to NWR
• Source volunteers to distribute printed marketing assets within local community
• Chair first meetings or (depending on location) recruit member volunteer(s) to do so

• Call referred enquirers to explain more about new group – try to convert them to attending first free meeting

• Agree details for first meeting and brief press release to CEO
• Manage the enquiry process for new groups or support volunteer in doing so
• Keep record of enquirers, meeting attendees and memberships of new groups and provide updates at weekly meeting and for Dashboard and HOD reports.
• As we are a small organisation, you may also be required to undertake work outside of this remit to support the HOD and Membership team in the smooth running of the organisation.

Early Years Advisor

We are looking for Early Years Advisors to join the team supporting the contract delivery of our Maths Champions programmes.

Maths Champions is an online professional development programme, enabling early years settings to access CPD from their setting without the need to release staff to attend external training. The programme provides a range of evidence based training, reflective tools, resources and support from an Early Years Advisor.

This role offers remote working and there are 8 positions available.

Position: Early Years Advisor (Champions Programme) x8 posts

Location: Homebased

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: 30k increasing to £32k following probation

The Role

You will support the contract delivery of the Maths Champions programmes, ensuring contract milestones are met. The Champions programmes are online professional development programmes designed to support early years settings to drive continuous improvement and increase high standards in early education for children from birth to five years, in line with the Organisation’s mission to promote quality in early years for UK and international customers.

Working closely with other early years advisors, delivery partners, managers and cross teams, you will be responsible for the delivery of Champions programmes.

You will work with the private, voluntary, maintained and independent sectors, and school provision providing advice and support relating to Champions programmes that enable practitioners within nursery settings with practice improvement resulting in better outcomes for children.

About You

You will have experience of working in early years, leading practice specifically in maths language, literacy and communication as an early years professional or an early years teacher

Kempton Steam Museum, operated by Kempton Great Engines Trust, is home to the world's largest operational triple-expansion steam engine, which supplied water to much of London until 1980. Our project, Kempton: Clean Water for Life - reaching a wider audience, is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we aim to transform Kempton Steam Museum’s engagement with visitors and the local community, while enhancing support for volunteers and care of collections.

The part-time Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training, and coordinating the volunteers who support the museum's operations, engineering activities and visitor experience. They will develop documentation including a volunteer agreement, handbook and role profiles and ensure that volunteers are effectively integrated into the museum's activities and that their contributions are recognised and valued. We rebuild tropical fisheries with coastal communities

Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organisation that puts people first. We support coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries and restore ocean life.

Our work began two decades ago in Madagascar’s remote coastal communities and is growing globally.

Across a dozen countries, we’re partnering with traditional fishers and community organisations to design, scale, strengthen, and sustain fisheries management and conservation at the community level. We bring partners together in networks to advocate for reform and share tools and best practices to support fishing communities worldwide. In this role, we convene the Transform Bottom Trawling Coalition with over 120 members across 40 countries.

Summary job description

Blue Ventures is seeking an experienced and passionate fisheries expert to lead and manage the Transform Bottom Trawling (TBT) Coalition’s technical and strategic work. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in a growing global movement that seeks to end destructive bottom trawling practices and champion the rights of small-scale fishers.

The Transform Bottom Trawling Coalition is a global movement uniting small-scale fishers, coastal communities, and environmental groups against the most destructive form of industrial fishing. Together with over 120 members, we are advocating for:

• Protecting coastal water: Creating Inshore Exclusion Zones and Preferential Access  Areas to keep bottom trawling out and give small-scale fishers priority access.

• Safeguarding marine life: Ensuring bottom trawling is prohibited in Marine Protected      Areas (MPAs) to protect marine animals and plants.

• Supporting fair subsidies: Ending subsidised bottom trawling and supporting a fair transition.

• Stopping expansion: Preventing bottom trawling from expanding into new, untrawled areas.

You will be responsible for providing expert advice across the coalition, driving research and knowledge creation, and ensuring the coalition remains at the forefront of scientific, policy, and advocacy developments. Your expertise will help shape impactful strategies and campaigns that promote sustainable, equitable, and community-led ocean governance.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in fisheries science and policy and a commitment to social and environmental justice. Reporting to the Head of Global Advocacy, this is a full-time role with occasional travel to work closely with overseas colleagues and partners. The role involves close collaboration with diverse partners, including grassroots organisations, scientists, campaigners, and policy experts, to drive systemic change. As a key spokesperson and thought leader for the coalition, you will support impactful communications and represent the coalition at high-level events. The Senior Executive Assistant will play a pivotal role in the Chief Executive’s Office, working closely with the Deputy Chief Executive and members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure the smooth and effective execution of strategic, operational, and governance priorities. Acting as a trusted partner and first point of contact, the Senior Executive Assistant will proactively manage high-level administrative functions, facilitate internal and external stakeholder engagement, and contribute to organisation-wide planning and coordination. Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Executive Support

· Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted liaison for the Deputy Chief Executive, managing their calendar, commitments, and priorities with discretion and strategic foresight.

· Proactively coordinate complex diaries, internal and external meetings, and briefings, ensuring effective time management and optimal scheduling across teams and stakeholders.

· Prepare agendas, compile and distribute papers, attend meetings as needed, and record minutes and action points with professionalism and accuracy.

· Manage comprehensive travel arrangements (domestic and international), including bookings, itineraries, visa requirements, and expenses in line with organisational policy.

· Screen incoming correspondence (emails, calls, invitations), handle or redirect enquiries, and ensure timely and appropriate follow-up.

· Provide responsive and high-quality administrative support across the Senior Leadership Team as needed, in coordination with the Executive Support Manager.

Governance, Project and Strategic Support

· Coordinate and manage key organisational meetings including: Monthly Heads meetings across ARUK and Fundraising and Marketing Leadership Team (FMLT) meetings

· Ensure the smooth delivery of these meetings by preparing documentation, recording actions, and driving follow-through with relevant stakeholders.

· Support cross-organisational strategic initiatives, such as ARUK’s Stakeholder Engagement programme and other priority activities led by the Deputy Chief Executive.

· Proactively use ARUK’s CRM system (Salesforce) to support relationship management and strategic engagement by Executive Directors.

· Assist in the planning and delivery of internal communications activities and events that build alignment and engagement across the organisation to include the annual Fundraising and Marketing away day and monthly Fundraising and Marketing meeting.

· Take on discrete projects on behalf of the Deputy Chief Executive

· Work closely with the Executive Support Manager and Head of Governance to support Board and trustee-related activities, including the preparation of papers, coordination of logistics, and accurate record-keeping.

· Help ensure the delivery of effective governance arrangements and contribute to continuous improvement in the support of ARUK’s leadership and oversight functions.

Team and Leadership Contribution

· Act as a senior member of the Executive Support team, sharing best practices and supporting colleagues with guidance, training, and mentoring where appropriate and deputising for the Executive Support Manager where appropriate

· Contribute to process improvement initiatives that increase the efficiency and impact of the Chief Executive’s Office.

· Stay informed of sector developments, best practices in executive support, and opportunities for innovation within the charity’s operations.

What we are looking for:

· Extensive experience providing high-level executive support to senior leaders 

· Discretion, integrity, and sound judgement in handling confidential and sensitive information.

· Experience coordinating meetings, travel, and logistics for senior leaders.

· Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with proven ability to manage complex and competing priorities.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and professional presentation.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.

· Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.

Westway Trust is seeking a highly motivated Caretaker who will be passionate about developing and maintaining high standards of security and presentation of buildings across the 23 acres of estate, to ensure continuity of the use of the buildings and grounds for tenants and community use. This role will be critical to ensuring management of a vibrant, diverse and thriving estate.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

• Responsible for light maintenance and housekeeping duties across the Trust’s buildings and estate.
• Perform simple repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
• Conduct security checks of the Trust’s properties across the estate, involving opening buildings and locking all doors and windows when not in operation.
• Inspecting buildings, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order.
• For the general upkeep of buildings, sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for minor repairs working with the Facilities Team.
• Work with the Grounds & Gardens team to ensure Westway Trust’s land remains clean and tidy at all times (fly-tipping/bins/parking).
• Liaising with colleagues to assist in the unit base parking operations.
• Monitoring of bin collections and cleaning and re-arranging as required.
• Preparing rooms for meetings and events, including the moving of equipment such as tables and chairs.
• Liaising with Events Team to deliver support to events.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
• Three years of working with a property team or as a caretaker or in a similar role.
• Electrical and plumbing experience and / or qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Painting/decorating experience is desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of technical information, building construction and design.
• Practical ability to use and maintain tools.
• Experience of working in public open spaces.
• Good people management relationships.
• Have good time management, organisational, communication and administrative skills with the ability to work under pressure.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. 

Last year, 244 people in England and Wales tragically died after being assaulted with a knife. Of these, 32 were children. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. Even when violence doesn’t strike directly, we know that the fear of violence has a terrible effect on children’s lives.

The Youth Endowment Fund exists to try and permanently change things. To succeed, we must build an exceptional body of knowledge about violence affecting young people and how we reduce it. This knowledge has to be both rigorous and highly relevant to those making decisions about how to support vulnerable young people. We need to find out what works and what doesn’t through evidence synthesis, data analysis and qualitative research into children’s lives. We need to convert this into highly accessible content on what works, how delivery organisations need to change their practice and how the systems they operate in need to be reformed. We then need to work with the right people that can make change happen, across systems, policies and practice, to have a real impact on reducing violence affecting children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities 

We build demand and interest in evidence across the Children’s Services sector 

This will include: 

• Running events, speaking at conferences and curating webinars to bring evidence to life for practitioners 
• We have great relationships with the people who can make change happen.  

This will include:

• Developing great relationships with senior policy makers, sector leaders and experts, including representing YEF in external meetings and speaking at events.
• Managing a Strategic Advisory Board of leading experts across the children’s services sector and keep members onside and excited about our work.

We deliver our children’s services system recommendations. 

This will include:

• Helping to identify the right recommendations at a system level (such as changes in policy, regulation, inspection, funding, or guidance) that make it more likely highly vulnerable children get access to the right support at the right time. 
• Work out the best way to make our system recommendations happen (due for publication in December 2026) and then do it – persuading the key people to make changes that make a difference.
• Tracking progress carefully, being thoughtful and creative about when and how to change the plan.

We work out the most effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then make those things happen. 

This will include:

• Helping children’s services leaders change how they plan or provide services to better protect children from violence, based on the YEF Children’s Services Practice Guidance – due for publication in May 2026. 
• Creating a plan to get people to follow our guidance, using what we know about how they think and behave. 
• Creating practical tools and resources that help leaders put evidence into action 
• Continuously testing and improving our approach to get better results.

In addition, you will oversee housing maintenance by ensuring repairs are completed and health and safety guidelines are followed. This role is based on working Saturdays and Sundays 8am -2pm each week.
