The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Securing, updating and managing work experience placements.
- Handling telephone enquiries about the work experience programme, communicating with teachers, employers, parents and schools.
- Acting as key point of contact for schools/educational establishments managing and overseeing the work experience process.
- Producing information and providing support to the Head of Work Experience and other team members.
- Completing one-to-one interviews with students with additional needs to ensure suitable placements are secured.
- Managing placements using a bespoke IT system.

About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Legacy professional with a good understanding of charity legacy administration, to assist Macmillan in receiving its rightful entitlements from gifts in supporters' wills in a timely manner, by collaborating with executors and other charities to maximize the value of each gift whilst also aiming to enhance the charity's reputation.
The postholder will manage pecuniary and lower-risk residuary gifts, ensuring executors, family, and friends have a positive experience with Macmillan as a beneficiary. Responsibilities include accurately recording data, creating valuations per the Charity Commission’s SORP 2019 and Macmillan’s Legacy Income Recognition Policy, and assessing any conditions on gift usage. Communication with executors and co-beneficiaries will occur via letters, emails, and phone calls. Additionally, you will gather stories to promote legacy giving and adhere to all data protection laws.
About you
We’re looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Understanding of Charity Legacy Administration and/or Estate Administration within private practice and/or have done electives in Probate as part of a law degree or Graduate Diploma in Law.
- Written and verbal communication skills including a confident and welcoming telephone manner.

The Events & Enterprises Assistant will be expected to work within the diverse and inclusive ethos of Southwark Cathedral. They should be able to be flexible and creative in maximising the opportunities for commercial income alongside the worshipping and community life of the Cathedral. The post-holder will also be expected to work closely with staff and volunteers from all areas of Cathedral life.
Role Overview
The Events & Enterprises Assistant is an exciting role offering both administrative and practical support to the Cathedral and its trading company Southwark Cathedral Enterprises Limited (SCEL). The post-holder will provide key administrative support to the COO, who is Company Secretary of SCEL, as well as giving broad practical support to the Head of Events to help deliver the special events and commercial meeting-room business.
The post-holder will provide support to the Head of Events in the delivery of a colourful programme of special events in the Cathedral space. Each year we hold a number of private parties, dinners and fundraising events as well as concerts, memorial events and carol services. The Head of Events holds the responsibility for converting special event enquiries into confirmed visits, relationship management and this post will share event management ‘on the day’, to ensure the smooth and safe delivery of often complex largescale events. Most often working one year ahead of the event, the post-holder will provide administrative and operational support for preparations and the delivery of the events by completion of operational notes, RAMS or similar.
Additionally, the Events & Enterprises Assistant will be responsible for the effective day- to-day management of commercial bookings for the Cathedral’s meeting rooms. Our conference business, comprising three main meeting rooms of varying sizes, has a wide client base drawn from the commercial, government, charity and national health sectors and many of the bookings are repeat business. The meeting rooms have an excellent reputation and are popular with clients and for managing the clients’ experience from initial enquiry to final invoice. The post-holder will provide a welcome to clients on arrival, 3 ensuring that their room, IT and catering specifications have been met and manage their requirements during their stay.
They will also work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager on communications campaigns which are relevant to the Cathedral’s conference and special events business activity.
The post-holder will support the work of the Board of Enterprises by organising the annual schedule of Board meetings – booking meeting rooms, setting up technology and refreshments on the day, attending and minuting meetings and acting as a point of contact for members of the Board. They will also support the Cathedral’s COO in their role as Company Secretary of SCEL - assisting them with correspondence, meeting arrangements, collation of papers and drafting reports for meetings and liaising where necessary with the finance team.

Summary of the role:
The Income Generation Support Officer will provide day-to-day administrative departmental support and support to the department Director to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner. - Maintain and improve departmental filing systems to achieve maximum efficiency.

Overall purpose of role
The Administrative Support Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective day-to-day running of WeProtect Global Alliance. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Operations, this new role provides wide-ranging support across administration, finance, HR, and team coordination, ensuring that internal processes run efficiently in a dynamic, remote working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative and Operational Support

Provide general administrative support to the Secretariat, including correspondence, maintaining organisational records and policies, and managing virtual offices.

Schedule and coordinate Board and FRAC meetings, including preparing materials and accurate minute-taking.

Support the organisation of retreats, away days, and staff travel, as well as managing the Monday meeting rota and staff engagement activities.

Finance and Contracts Administration

Duties and Responsibilities
Service Analysis and Quality Assurance
- Support the collection and analysis of accurate, timely and high-quality data on our services via Salesforce CRM (training provided, with the opportunity to become a qualified Salesforce Administrator).
- Assist Service Managers in delivering mental health training for school staff and parents/carers, including managing bookings, invites, attendance lists, and queries.
- Coordinate, monitor and support the evaluation of whole school services, including training and wellbeing interventions.
- Maintain effective and up-to-date digital filing systems.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and external contacts, developing a deep understanding of our services and their impact on children’s lives.
Family Liaison and Support
- Undertake office and reception duties from 4pm – 6.30pm, including liaising with parents, answering calls, and welcoming visitors.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of new families to our nursery and family centre, including reviewing statutory childcare funding options.
- Help develop a programme of workshops for parents/carers, assessing needs and tailoring support.

Role purpose

RISE are specialists in designing and delivering evidence-based, transformative behaviour change courses within the criminal justice system and wider community.
With the main objectives of reducing re-offending and helping to protect the public, the RISE practitioner will deliver a range of interventions (individual and group), that RISE may design, commission or be commissioned to deliver in the future, both in the community and in custody.
The main purpose of this role is to support and assist Facilitators, Advanced Practitioner, Responsible Officers and Service managers in the administration of the Domestic Abuse contracts delivery by co-ordinating project resources such as people and equipment. The post holder will also be responsible for maintaining information systems linked to specific DA contracts.
Key duties and accountabilities
- To undertake a range of administrative duties, including log on cases, tracking and issuing documents to clients.
- Be adept in managing a new client based system.
- Working closely with practitioners to facilitate and schedule service users onto courses or appointments or chasing information.
- Drafting documentation where appropriate under direction from the Service Manager.
- Communicate with referrers, specifically social workers, mental health provoiders.
- Maintaining excellent filing and records of case files to ensure effective recording on attendance and completion of courses.
- Ensure the team has excellent administrative support across all projects.
- Help manage communications both within the project team and between the project teams and project delivery partners.
- To ensure that all contractual information is recorded, updated and accessible.
- Work with Team leader and Service Manager and practitioners to support the scheduling of and take the initiative/decisions of assigning service users to relevant groups/1-2-1 sessions based on outcome of assessment.
- Keep any relevant records for audit compliance.
- Collate information and complete the monthly/quarterly KPI data reports required by commissioning partner as stated within each individual contract.
- Provide excellent customer service and be the first point of contact for telephone communication for our commissioning partners, service users and families and transfer enquiry to appropriate staff member if unable to resolve query themselves.
- Be solution focused and able to troubleshoot.
- Collate and analyse statistical information.
- Prepare and present management information as requested by Service Manager.
- Prepare reports and provide performance information to inform decision making.
- Provide general administrative support relating to the running of the department (purchasing, maintaining rota, basic resource management).

- Be a strong advocate for RISE interventions, representing RISE and its interventions at key stakeholder events.

About the role
CARE International UK is looking for a Programme Officer to provide administrative support within our Programme and Policy Department.
