We rely 100% on voluntary donations and so fundraising is vital to our ability to provide and grow our services. This newly created role will give additional support to our community fundraising activity to maximise fundraising opportunities and increase charitable income. The role will be helping to organise events, and support individuals and groups with their own fundraising activity and events.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Trust Fundraising Officer to join our small yet dynamic Fundraising team to help grow our income through Charitable Trusts and grant making organisations.  This is an exciting time to join the organisation as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary year and look to a future of growth and building on our past achievements. 

About the role

- You'll research trusts and foundations funding opportunities to which IHP can apply.
- You'll prepare and submit compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations in order to grow our core income.
- You'll work across teams and build effective relationships with team members in order to identify suitable projects for funding in line with strategy and budgets.
- You'll support the preparation of funding applications by members of the team to other donors, including corporate donors, major donors and other charity partners (NGOs)​

We are seeking a Payroll & Finance Administrator to assist the Executive Director: Finance and Resources with completing administration and payroll tasks to ensure a smooth running Finance Team.

You will administer aspects of donations and income, post donations received into our CRM system liaising with the Director of Fundraising, conduct Gift Aid claims, generate reports and utilise the CDS system to ensure all data is correctly entered and support given to all administrators.

You will administer the payroll and receipt system. Additionally, you will reconcile all costs, generate invoices and check that timesheets, holidays and absence are recorded correctly. This role requires you to work Monday to Friday but you must be willing to be flexible as and when required.

You must have a minimum of five A*-C GCSE passes, including Mathematics and English (or equivalent). Additionally, good IT skills, especially in Excel and administrative, recording and reporting skills are essential for this role.

Knowsley Carers Centre is a growing charity, established in ~October 1997 to support the borough's 16000 unpaid/family carers.

A highly motivated and experienced person is required to identify and support unpaid carers.

Proven experience of the sector and an understanding of unpaid carers’ issues are essential along with the ability to work independently.

Job Purpose: To find and assist Carers in the Knowsley area by providing advice, information, drop-in sessions, facilitating support groups, home visiting, training and a variety of other methods highlighted by Carers in Knowsley.

Duties and Responsibilities

Information and Support

All staff are expected to be familiar with the range of services and events provided by Knowsley Carers Centre.

The Carers Support Officers specifically: -

1) Provide Carers with advice and support to improve the quality of their lives and the person they care for:

This will include:

a) Completing current procedure for Carers’ Assessments and to support Carers through the Assessment process.

b) Offering Carers the opportunity to take up other services offered by KCC such as coffee mornings and Holistic Therapies.

c) Providing an empathetic and supportive ear to Carers about the difficulties they may be experiencing. Remind carers that we are here to provide a listening ear and offer our counselling service if appropriate.

d) To signpost Carers to relevant voluntary and statutory organisations.

2) Keep up-to-date with services, benefits and organisations relevant to Carers.

3) To assist in the promotion of the work of the organisation by use of media, talks, presentations, displays etc.

4) Make links with relevant statutory and voluntary organisations.

5) Use any of the above opportunities to identify hidden Carers and

Casework

1) Work on behalf of Carers both by phone and in writing to help them to obtain the services they need.

2) Make home-visits as necessary to carry out this aspect of the work and initial support to new carers via home visit with the agreement of line manager.

3) Liaise with other advice/advocacy organisations to develop and maintain referral systems.

4) Complete all the necessary administrational tasks related to the role including updating all contacts on the database.

Groups and Events

1) Setting up, administering and facilitating Carers Support Groups.

2) Organise outings and events for Carers. To liaise with the manager to raise small funds to assist with one to one support or group support.

3) Work with other members of the Knowsley Carers Centre staff team to plan, organise and facilitate special events and activities e.g. During National Carers Week.

Administration and Monitoring

1) Complete contacts on the database for every interaction with each carer. All phone calls, drop ins, home visits letters, emails and texts to have a separate contact.

2) Ensure attendees at group events whether in house or at another venue complete the signing in sheet. Complete the register for these events on the database if requested to do so. 

3) Add names to waiting lists for trips and events following the standard procedure. Make appointments for carers to attend holistic therapies following the standard procedure.

4) Write up case studies and other reports as requested by line manager.

5) To be primarily self-servicing including word processing letters, keeping appropriate records of work undertaken, write reports and complete monitoring forms.

6) All of the above are necessary for management to produce statistics and other monitoring reports to comply with funders requests outlined in the main contract and other sources of funding.

General Tasks

1) To work as part of a team contributing to the smooth and effective running of Knowsley Carers Centre.

2) To produce articles for the Carers Centre newsletter and to distribute

to various establishments around Knowsley.

3) To attend and actively participate in regular supervision, team meetings and annual appraisal sessions.

4) To undertake relevant training and staff development activities as required.

5) To undertake occasional evening/weekend work where necessary.

6) To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the Centre Manager.

About the role:

Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role. 

As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. Job Title: Fundraising & Membership Officer

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Salary:  £27,560 (35 hours pers week)

Flexible working: in the Milton Keynes office, home-working and/or hybrid-working to be agreed with CEO

Contract: 12 months’ fixed term in the first instance

Main objectives of the role

Please note: these will be confirmed on appointment and reviewed annually

• Securing funds from a variety of sources to support services offered to families to meet our strategic objectives and the long-term sustainability of the charity.
• Building and maintaining relationships with a range of individuals and organisations to support the fundraising activities, promote the mission of the charity and improve the visibility of, and understanding about, Potential Plus UK.
• Coordinating the membership messaging and leading the analysis of data to promote the support of the charity and its cause, and maximise potential income, through membership.

Main responsibilities for all employees

1. To keep up to date with statutory and best practice in safeguarding and child protection procedures, ensuring that all members of the charity’s community are aware of these, understand their roles and are confident to take action as needed.
2. To liaise effectively with colleagues, parents, schools, colleges and young people to secure excellent outcomes and well-being for young people with high learning potential. 
3. To support and implement the strategic aims and all aspects of policies and procedures.
4. To develop best practice in the provision for all high potential learners, including the disadvantaged and disengaged, those with dual or multiple exceptionalities, and English as an additional language, and children from minority groups. 
5. To model high standards of professional behaviours and attitudes at all times. 
6. To identify the professional learning you need to achieve excellent outcomes, and to monitor the impact to ensure you excel in the role.

Main responsibilities for the Fundraising & Membership Officer

Fundraising

• Support the setting of the charity’s fundraising targets through the research and review of both external and internal fundraising activities.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of the charity’s fundraising activities and campaigns.
• Collate the agreed metrics (including income and expenditure) and report on a weekly basis.
• Participate fully in the generation of fundraising ideas and activity selection.
• Design, prepare and implement the agreed activities and campaigns, which are likely to be varied in nature and might include dedicated fundraising events, grant applications to support families in disadvantaged socio-economic groups, and legacy generation.
• Recommend changes and updates to the activities and campaigns based on testing and evidenced data.
• Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of fundraising activities and campaigns, including both income and impact.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with both new and existing individuals and organisations, such as member alumni and grant-making trusts and foundations.
• Lead on stewarding the support of donors, funders, ambassadors and influencers through regular communications and feedback on impact.
• Create and submit monitoring reports to funders that are both timely and of high quality.

Promoting the Charitable Aims of the Charity

• With marketing support as needed, create effective messaging to be shared externally and with existing members to engender a sense of belonging to the high learning potential community, together with an understanding of its rights and its potential positive impact on society, with the aim of creating a desire to support the charity now and on an ongoing basis.
• Work with the Community Information Coordinator to utilise all appropriate opportunities to convey these messages.

Membership

• Design and coordinate an effective system to enhance the membership offer and improve membership renewal and retention.
• Work with the administration and community teams to ensure that the journey from interested party to becoming a member and from member to retained member is compelling and framed coherently and that systems are in place to effectively implement this.
• Work with the Community Information Coordinator on campaigns and strategies to reach new members, engage with existing members and retain existing members.
• Have a thorough understanding of the membership database, collate information and monitor, evaluate and report on all aspects of membership performance.
• Design and coordinate regular market research, including competitor analysis, to identify member/stakeholder needs, to support the rationale for the development of new member/community products and services, and to liaise with and advise other teams in the organisation as appropriate.
• Analyse and interpret marketing and social media performance.
• Identify opportunities for engagement of the membership and the wider community.

Other

• Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required.

The Chief Executive will be responsible for providing leadership, developing, and implementing Living Well Bromley’s strategic and operational plans, leading on partnership and business development, and being an effective advocate for the charity and its beneficiaries.

They will lead a senior management team of three (the Operations Manager, Funding and Communications Manager and Advocacy Manager).They will be responsible for ensuring financial control and supporting and advising on governance best practice across all aspects of the charity.

This post is a first-tier post directly reporting to the Board of Trustees. Ideally the post holder will have a Christian faith and be committed to core Christian values.

As the newly appointed Executive Director, using your operational and programme management and leadership experience, you will be responsible for leading the organisation, as it builds and rolls out an effective youth intervention programme, scaling the model across London initially and then across the UK.

As an anti-knife crime charity, that melt down knives taken off the streets and recycle the steel into outdoor street gyms. They use street workout to transform the lives of young people affected by crime, violence and social exclusion, giving them the skills and confidence they need to create positive futures. Hailed by Men's Health as the 'best gyms in the world' and reaching over 1bn people, Steel Warriors are making waves in the impact space. 

Their vision is to build a UK-wide network of gyms, a street workout movement, that not only empowers young people to realise their passions and pursue their goals, but also fosters stronger, closer and more loving communities.

 Title: Executive Director

Salary: £55,000-£60,000 per annum.

Working Pattern: Full Time

Contract Type: Permanent

Location:  Although the role will be predominantly working remotely, they require the role holder to live within a commutable distance of London.  

The post holder will have responsibility for the general operations of the charity including people management, financial management, successful and effective programme delivery, implementing processes and spearheading all charity operations.  

Your skillsets and experience.  

They are looking for an experienced charity professional with a background in either general operations or programme management. This will include :

• Previous operations and people management gained within a charitable organisation.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and people and delivering successful outcomes.
