As Administration and Membership Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the Neurological Alliance runs smoothly, efficiently and professionally. You will support strong governance, effective membership engagement and well-run meetings and events, helping to ensure that lived experience, evidence and collective expertise shape health and care policy.

This is a practical, admin-led role with real responsibility and autonomy. You will manage day-to-day administration, support the Board and members, maintain accurate records and systems, and ensure financial and membership processes run effectively. In doing so, you will help amplify the voices of people affected by neurological conditions and our member organisations.

This role would suit someone looking for a meaningful, flexible part-time position where their work directly supports collaboration, influence and change. The role is home-based, with occasional travel for team meetings (around once every two months) and infrequent external meetings.

Key responsibilities

About Partnership for Children

We are a small charity, founded over 20 years ago, offering a series of programmes to schools and out-of-school settings to help young children around the world communicate effectively, cope with their anxieties and difficulties and develop skills which will enable them to flourish. Our mission is to build the social and emotional skills of children across the entire nursery and primary school age range (3 – 12 years) through well-evidenced programmes and collaborative, mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships.

The Project Officer’s main responsibilities will include:

1. Maintain administrative systems to enable schools and teachers to book training, purchase/renew subscriptions and buy printed resources
2. Invoice schools and ensure payment is received for training, subscriptions and resources
3. Administer the CRM and LMS, keeping it up to date and running reports as required
4. Track income from training, subscriptions and resources against the annual budget
5. Send the annual survey to schools and monitor responses

Person Specification:

• Highly organised, detail-orientated with experience in and an aptitude for setting up and maintaining administrative systems
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 including using Sharepoint, Calendar and MS Teams to organise and share information collaboratively
• Comfortable maintaining spreadsheets and simple trackers and producing clear summary reports
• Experience of using a CRM to collect information, communicate with stakeholders
• Experience of using learning management systems such as Moodle

Additional benefits include:

25 days annual leave plus 3 days Christmas leave and Bank Holidays pro-rated for a part-time contract.  In addition, we offer up to 3 days per year for staff to carry out volunteer duties such as school governor or Trustee roles and a pension scheme.

All staff work from home. You will be provided with a work laptop to use at home.  As you will be working with schools and teachers, it is likely that your working hours will align with school opening hours.  You may need to attend the occasional meeting in London or Kingston upon Thames.

About Friends of Ibba Girls School (FIGS) 

Friends of Ibba Girls School, South Sudan (FIGS), is a registered UK Charity (114620) set up in 2011, at the request of local community leaders to help build and develop a girls’ boarding school in South Sudan. Ibba Girls Boarding School now educates over 320 primary and secondary school girls from across Western Equatoria State and employs around 40 staff. 

The school provides high-quality education in a context where most girls leave school before completing primary education and very few reach secondary level. FIGS is a relatively small UK-based charity with a strong national reputation and a substantial impact, demonstrating what high-quality girls’ education can achieve in South Sudan. FIGS works closely with Windle Trust International, which provides technical, financial and organisational support to the school in South Sudan. 

FIGS raises approximately £500,000 each year to meet the running and development costs of IGBS and FIGS. Fundraising and effective communications are therefore central to our mission. We are a small team and are looking for someone who will thrive in a varied role, is proactive, organised, and capable of handling multiple demands, with a readiness to learn and take on additional responsibilities. 

The Role 

This role involves supporting both fundraising and communications activities, alongside essential administrative functions. The Fundraising and Communications Officer will play a key role in implementing FIGS’ fundraising and communications plans, supporting donor engagement, campaigns, events, and day-to-day operational administration. You will be working closely with our Head of Fundraising and Communications, ensuring that FIGS has the resources to continue to support the education and boarding of over 320 marginalised girls in South Sudan.

The role is home-based but requires the ability and willingness to travel to fundraising and supporter events across the UK, including occasional evenings and weekends. 

FIGS is a trustee-led charity, with an active and engaged Board that plays a hands-on role in governance, strategy, fundraising and ambassadorial work. While Trustees retain strategic oversight and are closely involved in key decisions, FIGS also has a small paid staff team responsible for day-to-day operations, fundraising delivery and communications. Key Tasks

Volunteer Engagement and Support

· Develop and grow the engagement in branches & SIGs and support volunteers to build new groups and networks.

· Build strong relationships with each branch and SIG community, providing administration support for their meetings and activities.

· With support, develop and deliver our annual in-person Volunteer Awards and annual in-person Volunteer Forum event.

· Work with the Communities and Events Manager to develop and deliver branch events and SIG conferences.

· Engage our volunteers with regular virtual ‘keep in touch’ meetings and other activities designed to maximise their satisfaction in their volunteer role – and share best practice across the networks.

· Create regular communications to engage and update our volunteers.

Community Development

· Support our communities with the development of their annual budgets and help them develop ideas for new, year-round activities to maximise member engagement and volunteer satisfaction.

Operational Support

· Ensure our CRM is kept up to date with current volunteer details for each community.

The Grants and Enquiries Officer is a new role at the organisation. Working with the Director of Grant Giving and Grants Manager, the postholder will play a key role in the efficient running of the Grants Department. The Tax Justice Network (TJN) is an independent international network, launched in 2003. Role description

The Finance Officer is part of the Organisational Support and Development (OSD) team at the Tax Justice Network, which is led by the Director of OSD, and the role reports to the Head of Finance and Reporting. The OSD team leads and delivers on a range of operational services from finance management, risk management, project management, event management, human resources, IT systems and other enabling functions. The team is also responsible for fundraising for the organization. This includes responding to calls for proposals, tracking funding opportunities and engaging with donors regularly.

The role offers the chance to work across the financial functions and offers an experience through a breadth of finance work across the organisation making it a varied and a well-rounded role. 

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake the day-to-day bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking payroll and general ledger maintenance 

• Ensuring accuracy and integrity of all financial records and keeping a clear audit trail of all financial records 

• Manage the staff payroll process including pension, HMRC and other related processes
