We are looking for a talented fundraiser, with a background in the cultural sector to join the Gardens, Libraries & Museums (GLAM) Team within the Development and Alumni Engagement team of the University of Oxford.
You will be working with such iconic institutions as the Pitt Rivers Museum, the Oxford Botanic Gardens, the History of Science Museum and the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. In this role in any given week you might see a dodo, extraordinary thousand-year old Chinese ceramics, insects collected by Darwin, the first scientifically described dinosaur and drawings by John Ruskin, as well as work on projects involving saving the largest flower in the world or supporting world-leading restitution work.
The collections are important and renowned on their own accounts, but also play a key role in the University’s research. In addition, they are the open doors to the University of Oxford, encouraging a diverse range of communities to engage our academics and curators.
Your role will include fundraising for major gifts to support the museums and gardens, and leading a team of fundraisers who will work to support a wide range of activities across the institutions. Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. Fundraising
- Support the setting of the charity’s fundraising targets through the research and review of both external and internal fundraising activities.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of the charity’s fundraising activities and campaigns.
- Collate the agreed metrics (including income and expenditure) and report on a weekly basis.
- Participate fully in the generation of fundraising ideas and activity selection.
- Design, prepare and implement the agreed activities and campaigns, which are likely to be varied in nature and might include dedicated fundraising events, grant applications to support families in disadvantaged socio-economic groups, and legacy generation.

First and foremost, you will be passionate about the importance of improving mental health in our community.
An excellent communicator with people at all levels, you will be in a position to leverage your commercial and business skills to build on the Centre’s existing operational framework. You will also be expected to get up to speed quickly with various aspects of the Centre’s business functions, including finance, IT and marketing.
Management-level experience in a charitable or not-for-profit organisation is an advantage, but more important is a hands-on, can-do approach and the motivation to help deliver the Centre’s strategy over the coming years.
The post is part-time with flexibility in the hours required. The role allows for hybrid working depending upon the demands of the job. Time at our offices in central Tunbridge Wells will be required.

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a Corporate Partnerships Officer (maternity cover).
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Partnerships Officer to drive forward relationship building and income generation within corporate fundraising.
Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, this role will lead and manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships to an excellent standard. As well as managing and supporting the development of strategic partnerships, the post-holder will build relationships with multiple stakeholders to develop long-term commitment to Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. Alongside managing our corporate partnerships this role is also responsible for administering our corporate membership scheme, organising Wild Work Days (corporate volunteering), and managing our affinities and Charity of the Year partnerships.
You will collaborate across the Trust to develop innovative and compelling funding proposals, delivering excellent stewardship to existing corporates and identify, research and engage new prospects. You will ensure continuous improvement and innovation in how, evaluating new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation.
A compelling and engaging communicator, you’ll be adept at managing corporate relationships of all sizes and at different stages – from prospecting and cultivation through to ask, stewardship and retention, working at all levels of the Trust to achieve ambitious fundraising targets.
You must be experienced working with corporates and have a natural talent for building positive relationships both internally and externally. If you want to make difference for Yorkshire’s wildlife and wild places, then we’d love to hear from you.

Founded in the early 1990s, The Gorilla Organization has had the privilege to be at the forefront of gorilla conservation for over 30 years, with innovative and award-winning community-led projects in Rwanda, Uganda and DR Congo, and field staff in Africa, supported by fundraising and communications teams in London.
We oversee a broad range of grassroots conservation projects aimed at addressing the key threats facing gorillas today. We support, train, and equip rangers, provide conservation, education, and socio-economic development opportunities for local people, and plant trees to protect the forest and mitigate climate change.

Ambitious for the future and conscious that there are just 1,069 mountain gorillas left in the world, this new role will add significant capacity to the existing team, helping us to deliver on our annual business plan, driving our income generating activities, monitoring our performance and impact, delivering value to our donors, stakeholders, and the communities we serve, and overseeing day-to-day operations.
All of which will require an individual passionate about Africa and the plight of gorillas, who is inspired by our approach to protecting gorillas and their natural habitat through community involvement and who comes to the role with a proven track record of success in fundraising, good financial acumen, excellent engagement, presentation, and people skills, and the ability to manage our day-to-day operations.
