As the Personal Assistant to the CEO, you’ll be at the heart of strategic engine. You’ll manage a fast-paced, high-profile workload, ensuring the CEO is fully supported to balance competing priorities and lead effectively.

Acting as the first point of contact for the CEO’s office, you will triage requests, ensuring professional and timely communications with a wide range of stakeholders.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grants Support Executive to join a leading national charity. This is a full-time, permanent role providing a support and delivery function for the charity’s individual and organisational grants programme.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Provide a secretariat function to the grants committee, including preparation of committee briefs, reports, draft minutes, and liaison with committee and sub-committee members
• Support the grants strategy programme director and board in delivery and administration

Ideal candidate profile:

• Minimum of three years’ experience in charity grant making, welfare, or related administrative experience
• Strong organisational and office administration skills
• Highly competent in MS Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with casework management or CRM systems desirable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce succinct and accurate reports, policy papers, and correspondence
• Financially literate with familiarity in financial management and reporting
• Self-starter, proactive, energetic, and reliable team player with a strong work ethic
• Methodical, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented with a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities

Our Youth and Play Practitioners will play a pivotal role in the Children, Young People and Families team, working as a core team of practitioners to ensure the smooth running of our programmes and services. In this role you will be part of a small and dynamic team which delivers a wide range of programmes and activities, both from Tulse Hill Adventure Playground and within local schools. The work of the Children, Young People and Families team is diverse and varied. AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown.  Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands of this growth, we are looking for exceptional candidates to join our team in a highly rewarding opportunity. Although home based, some travel will be required - frequency will be commensurate to the role. About the role

As our Support Care Coordinator, you will be the friendly and professional first point of contact for our valued Crusaders Associates, those who have been on the journey with Urban Saints since we were known as Crusaders. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional supporter experiences. Your work will help continue and build lasting relationships that inspire ongoing support for our mission from those who have journeyed with us over many years.

You'll be responsible for:

• Responding to associate enquiries via phone, email, and post in a timely, warm, and professional manner, with empathy and attention to detail throughout.
• Listening and responding to the needs of each supporter, understanding their motivations and experiences to foster long-term relationships.
• Developing a programme to regularly thank donors for their support.
• Ensuring supporters feel valued and appreciated.
• Maintaining accurate supporter records on our CRM system, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
• Working closely with the Head of Development to ensure consistent messaging and supporter journeys.

Location

The role is home-based with regular travel required to visit supporters and to supporter events across the UK.

Please note, it's a requirement of the role that you have a UK driving licence and access to a car.

About You

We’re looking for a compassionate and highly organised individual who excels in building meaningful relationships and delivering exceptional supporter care. You will have experience of working with supporters, or in a donor relations role, and be an excellent communicator.

What you'll do:

• Build supportive, trusting relationships with young people and help create a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
• Work proactively with other members of the team to manage the service caseload and carry out necessary administrative tasks.
• Conduct keywork sessions as required, using creative and engaging approaches to help young people achieve their Support Plan goals.

About you:

• Ability to advocate for young people in a variety of professional and community settings.
• Values working collaboratively with young people to ensure the service truly meets their needs.
• Understands the impact of individual context, including experiences of trauma and adversity, on young people's lives and mental health.
• Culturally aware and respectful of the different ways people make sense of their experiences and distress.

What you'll bring:

Essential:

• Up to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, or experience supporting young people or individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Desirable:

• Experience working in complex mental health environments, supported accommodation, or similar settings.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches.
• Experience supporting people to develop independent living skills.

We are looking for a warm, flexible and highly motivated fundraiser to work across all areas of our fundraising, from securing income from trusts and foundations and corporate partners to staying on top of our individual giving. 

You’ll benefit from regular mentoring sessions with an external fundraising consultant and be able to foster close relationships with our board of trustees and other key stakeholders. 

BYO has a very small core team, which you’ll be part of, and a large number of freelancers and external staff that join for programmes, events and performances. Our registered office is at the London Coliseum but day-to-day, when our big
programmes aren’t running, we work remotely. 

You’ll find yourself inputting across the organisation – for an inquisitive and proactive person there are plenty of opportunities to take on more responsibility as we grow. Here at BYO we actively support professional development and are very open to flexible working.
