We are seeking a fixed-term Grants Manager to join the Access to Justice Foundation through July 2026. The successful candidate will join us at a particularly exciting period of organisational growth and will support us to deliver on increased grant making activity. They will lead the day-to-day operational delivery of our grant making programmes – including overseeing systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective grant making and maintaining relationships with grantees, other funders, and key stakeholders as required. Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in facilities or office administration to assist the Office Manager in maintaining and managing high quality office facilities at the Group’s Head Office, delivering the Newlon New Way service standards to all users of the building and enhancing and promoting the Newlon brand and business interests.

A Hybrid Role

This role will work across both frontline delivery and input into the administration of the Duty system that underpins all HHPA’s work. It’s anticipated the worker’s role will be split roughly 50/50 across both elements of the work. Having a staff member working across both will give us a valuable insight into how frontline and Duty can work better together.  It is also a good opportunity for the worker to gain experience in all aspects of project delivery, which could be a valuable first step for anyone interested in project management or leadership.

The Duty work

The HHPA Duty Team makes sure the Homeless Health Peer Advocacy service runs safely and smoothly. They handle bookings from partner organisations, match referrals with Peer Advocates, and organise all the practical details – like booking transport, giving travel directions, and confirming who will attend each appointment. They use a specially designed Salesforce database to keep track of appointments, update records, and measure the impact of the service. A key part of their job is running the Duty System, which checks Peer Advocates in and out of jobs so that everyone is safe and supported.

The team is also the main point of contact for partners, frontline staff, and volunteers. They answer questions, make sure referrals have all the right information, and keep everything running to schedule. They look after data security, maintain good relationships with partner agencies, and make sure volunteers and workers have what they need to do their work well. By taking care of the behind-the-scenes work, the Duty Team frees up the frontline team to focus on supporting people to attend healthcare appointments and improve their health.

The pan-London Caseworker work

We need this role to support people experiencing homelessness in Boroughs where support needs are extremely high, but where we don't have the capacity or flexibility through our other funding to meet their needs. Most of our Caseworkers are funded by individual Boroughs and can only work in that area.  This role will be able to work in any of the Boroughs where we deliver HHPA so will give us the flexibility to go to where the need is greatest rather than being fixed in a single local authority area. As a more senior role in our HHPA service, the Caseworker will use their skills and experience to focus on people in the most complex and difficult situations, including those grappling multiple connected issues around physical and mental health, addiction, trauma, disabilities, and more.

•  Access – the Foundation for Social Investment works to make sure that charities and social enterprises can access the finance they need to sustain or grow their impact.
• You will be part of a small organisation of around 15 people that take a flexible, collaborative and trust-based approach to work.
• Working closely with the Head of Blended Finance and the wider Programme team you will act as an integral support function for colleagues but also build good relationships with our external partners, supporting their engagement with Access.

Finance:

• Ensure robust financial management of Access’s programmes, including monitoring deployment targets of social investors and supporting the process for drawing funds from Access.

Relationship management:

•  Become one of the day-to-day points of contact for a portfolio of organisations who are delivering or supporting Access’s programmes, or in the process of applying to do so. These may include social investors, grant partners or other stakeholders.
• Build strong productive and supportive working relationships with delivery partners, in a spirit of collaboration and learning.
• Maintain comprehensive and clear records of the status of the relationship and any key questions or issues which are currently being addressed.

Data and learning:

• Support the acquisition and collation of regular performance data submissions
• Support the analysis and reporting on performance within each delivery partner and across the portfolio.

Other tasks:

• Leading on or supporting the delivery of internal and external events

The Role 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled project support professional to bring your skills into a global and creative setting at University of the Arts London (UAL).

As Global Projects Support Officer, you’ll play a central role in delivering our Global Engagement Strategy, which builds international partnerships, develops Creative Hubs in priority regions, and ensures our work reflects UAL’s values of creativity, inclusivity and sustainability.

What is the overall purpose of the role?

This post will provide high-quality support to the overall operations of the organisation and the team, to ensure the smooth running of the main sites and enable YAA to meet and deliver on its core objectives and obligations.

The post holder will provide administrative support to YAA, covering a wide range of tasks and activities including (but not limited to) procurement coordination, travel and logistics, department meetings and off-site activities, diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking for our board and meetings for staff, members and stakeholders.

General Requirements

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

· Maintain supplier records including validating and updating bank details, contact information, and remittance addresses.

· Monitor the Finance Department mailbox and in-tray, responding and redirecting queries as appropriate.

· Process financial transactions including supplier invoices and staff/credit card expense claims in accordance with agreed processes and deadlines.

· Support preparation and batching of weekly and ad-hoc payment runs, ensuring proper documentation is attached and ready for approval.

· Complete bank reconciliations and assist in routine reconciliations of supplier accounts, and other control accounts under the guidance of the Senior Finance Assistant.

· Maintain accurate and organised filing (electronic and paper) for all processed work.

· Assist with audit and reporting tasks by retrieving and preparing documentation as required.

· Provide cover and support across other transactional processes during peak times or absences

Working Environment:  

The post holder should expect to:

· Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.

· Be responsible for the input and maintenance of databases and files relevant to the post requirements.

· Will occasionally be required to attend events in the evening and at weekends.
