Purpose of the Job
To strategically lead and manage our existing CYP services that range from being both clinical and non clinical (Mental Health Support Teams in Schools, Circle crisis prevention café for children and young people, Whole School Approach, Be Kind to Your Mind). To develop and grow a portfolio of children and young people’s mental health services.
The role will lead, manage and oversee the Youth Services team and a range of projects that support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.

Growth and Development
- To lead, develop and maintain the strategy, business plan and budget for Youth Services.
- To lead on service development through the identification of unmet needs, local priorities and project opportunities and the development of proposals and bids.
- To work closely with the CEO and Head of Business Development on potential new funded projects, writing or inputting into proposal/bids.
- To support the development of outreach and communications materials about services and impact.
Lead on Projects
- To provide overall leadership and oversight for project contracts.
- To oversee the implementation of needs assessments and data analysis to ensure that services are relevant to the needs of stakeholders and meet identified service gaps.
- To ensure that KPIs for all projects are met and have continuous oversight of this and any improvement actions that need to be taken.
- To lead and oversee effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) systems (both qualitative and quantitative) evidence base are in place, monitoring key outcomes of the service and produce quality reports.
- To oversee and ensure evidence of key outcomes are in place and inform improving quality programme delivery and service development.
- To lead and oversee reporting to funders (and other stakeholders where required) in a timely manner.
- Provide guidance and expertise to staff.
- Any other reasonable ad hoc tasks as requested by CEO and in line with the needs of the service.
Partnership Working
- To develop excellent working relationships with commissioners, potential commissioners, partners across North-West London.
- To lead on providing the oversight for partner SLAs and contracts.
- To ensure in contracts where HFEH Mind is the project lead that partners are supported to achieve project deliverables and targets and provide timely M&E to be included in reports to funders.
- To lead on and coordinate ongoing consultation and skills-sharing with partners.
- To work with national Mind and other Local Mind Associations to collaborate and share best practice.
- To identify suitable partners and funders for new projects.
- To develop ongoing stakeholder engagement with existing partners, funders and other stakeholders.
- To ensure that partners adhere to safeguarding, suicide prevention and GDPR principles and best practice.
- To work with community groups to establish a clear vision of the role of Mind locally to support people and communities.
Management
- To be an active, positive, accountable member of the Senior Management Team.

About the Role:
As Victim Awareness Officer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering training and awareness raising activities in relation to victims of crime. The role will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Thames Valley Police, criminal justice agencies as well as other statutory agencies and third sector organisations across the Thames Valley.
You will lead on developing this new content for training as well as consulting with stakeholders on their training needs and mapping emerging areas where further input is required. As part of the role, you will be responsible for developing this range of training programmes and keeping training materials up to date. You will maximise the use of social media accounts for training, victim awareness and awareness of specific crime types including Sexual Violence and Modern Day Slavery. You will attend events and presentations to engage the local community and increase their knowledge on support for victims of crime. To assist delivery of your role you will recruit and support a cohort of trained volunteers to perform the roles of Criminal Justice Champions and Engagement Champions volunteers.
You will need to be able to work flexibly to accommodate the training requirements as well as experience of delivering presentations and structured training programmes and talks to a range of audiences. You will need to be IT literate and be effective with your communication.

About the role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our bank as a Welfare Officer, providing cover as required for the SSAFA RAF Service across the UK.
Our Bank Welfare Officers will provide direct and impactful welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family on an ad hoc basis when a full-time member of the team is unavailable to do so.
As a trusted and confidential source of support, you will assist our service users with challenges they are facing, from mental ill-health, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, financial and cost-of-living concerns, resettlement, housing, childcare, equality issues, bereavement, military discharge or deployment and many more - no day will be the same, as such this is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Welfare sector.
Our intervention is provided with consent on a non-statutory basis, and you will work with and engage our service users to develop appropriate interventions for individual outcomes.
Our service is transitioning to become more accessible and inclusive, digital technology plays a key role in this, as such you may be asked to use digital technologies to complement and enhance processes and service user experience.

About you
To thrive in this role you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver presentations with confidence.
You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have experience of carrying out assessments, preparing plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.
There will be some travel required and therefore you will need to be able to drive, have access to your own car and be flexible to spend nights away from home occasionally within the UK at short notice..

Key Responsibilities
As a Building Safety Officer, you will oversee the delivery of property related safety servicing programmes ensuring that customers are safe, and that we meet and exceed our landlord statutory requirements.
You will ensure compliance with all current legislation relating to Building Safety (gas, fire, electrical, water hygiene, asbestos, lift) whilst having due regard to relevant codes of practice and best practice.
You will lead in the regular monitoring and analysis of statutory compliance performance and the production of statutory compliance related management reports as required.
You will provide compliance administration support to the Head of Asset Management & Development, monitor renewal dates for services and Instruct approved suppliers to undertake service visits when required where Hft holds responsibility of compliance.
You will also be responsible for maintaining Hft’s compliance systems and ensuring compliance certificates and Risk Assessments are completed and filed in Hft’s agreed location.
Who are you?
- You will have an awareness or experience of supported housing, ideally for people with learning disabilities
- You will have experience in housing management or Maintenance and/or Building Compliance, with a proven knowledge and experience in building safety and all aspects of H&S.
- You will have knowledge of social housing issues, equality and diversity, fire safety and understanding of Building Compliance
- You will have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines but maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- You will have excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ideal candidate will be based in Bristol or within commuting distance, and have a full UK driver's license with access to your own vehicle.

5. Work with regional partners, develop opportunities and publicise and promote the Community Assistance Project, including promoting and cascading information, including real-life examples of positive intervention through a range of methods and with a range of stakeholders.
6. Oversee the processing of volunteer expenses in line with agreed policy and procedure
7. Maintain accurate and up to date records relating to all aspects of the service in the region to provide for the effective monitoring and evaluation of the project.
8. Support programme evaluation through surveys and questionnaires.
9. Make onward referrals internally or externally to provide a holistic support package for service users.

We are looking for Independent Advocate(s) to join our team working on our Advocacy contract on a full or part time basis in Hertfordshire. Our ideal candidates will have worked in advocacy, information and advice or similar role before, ideally in a health, social care or voluntary setting and will have experience of working with adults at risks.
The candidates will have strong experience working with adults at risk who are affected by significant health and social care issues who find it difficult to speak up for themselves; and experience providing persuasive verbal and written representations.
In these roles the ideal candidates will be supporting a wide range of adults with profound and multiple needs. The successful candidates will need good knowledge of relevant legislation that falls within the role, and how this legislation applies to the people we support. A working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations to enable them to work in partnership with clients and professionals, gaining an understanding of their issues by listening, exploring options and representing their views.
You will need to have a flexible attitude and must be comfortable handling highly sensitive information whilst able to work well independently and confidently on behalf of others. Strong communication skills and time management skills will be required and you will need to be computer literate. Full training in the role will be provided.
Because of the nature and location of the role, applicants must live within the area; have a full driver’s licence and access to their own transport. Travel expenses will only be paid once in the Hertfordshire border.

Main Purpose and Scope of the Role
High quality planning and delivery of Action4Youth programmes: this includes NCS (National Citizen Service) predominantly but also the Breakout programme. It can also include work across other programme areas when cover is required.
NCS (National Citizen Service)
NCS is a government-funded initiative that brings together schools, community organisations, businesses and individuals to build a stronger and more cohesive society. Action4Youth is the Delivery Provider for the Live It, Change It and Boss It themed programmes; each programme is a residential experience from Monday- Friday.
This role will work collaboratively with the NCS staff team to successfully deliver all aspects the NCS programme for Action4Youth’s spring, summer and autumn programmes. Key phases of each programme include planning and preparation, programme administration, and working as both a Team and Wave Leader on the residential programmes. Whilst you are working as a wave leader you will be responsible for managing a team of seasonal staff. This role requires numerous residentials throughout the year where you will stay away from home from Monday- Friday.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
· Use of the NCS CRM system Salesforce
· Administration of data and retention of young people prior to programme
· Assisting the Programmes team to plan and deliver engagement activities for young people and their parent/guardians
· Planning for all areas of delivery, including, timetabling, session plans, transport bookings, administration of young person’s personal data,
· Wave lead NCS residential programmes of around 100- 160 young people and manage the seasonal staff team
· Work as a Team Leader on residential programmes and guide young people through the programme
· Adhere to contractual KPI’s and ensure young people have a high quality experience
Breakout
The Breakout programme is an Action4Youth initiative for young people who are identified as at risk. Breakout is an opportunity for students to participate in a twelve-week programme that focuses on key skills such as self-confidence, leadership and positive decision making through a targeted programme of outdoor adventurous activities and classroom sessions. Students will learn about the impact of knife and gang related crime and how to make positive decisions and life choices.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
· Liaise with schools and partners to plan the programme and timetable of activities
· Deliver 1:1 mentoring sessions with young people using the Outcomes Star tool to track their progress
· Lead the group through the timetable of activities and allow them to reflect on their personal experiences
· Effectively manage the behaviour of the young people whilst on programme
· Report any Safeguarding concerns to the school Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
General Responsibilities
· Support events and meetings when required.
- Support the continued development of quality standards as specified by Action4Youth.
- Support in other areas of the organisation as required
