Sounds great, what will I be doing?

Empower a caseload of service users to manage their health and wellbeing. As part of a team, you will support a staffing rota offering support to service users between the hours of 8am-10pm Mon-Sun each week. In collaboration with your team, you will actively monitor wellbeing, mental health, housing and living environment to ensure service users journey into independence.

Moreover, you will take a solution focused and coproduced approach to supporting service users with their move-on into independent living.

Here's what the team will be looking for

You will have experience of working with people with mental health and/or dual diagnosis issues in either a paid or voluntary capacity. You will be able to learn quickly, gather information, and make sound decisions while processing and recording information accurately, in line with confidentiality requirements. With the ability to engage people who may present challenging behaviour, you will use de-escalation skills to defuse difficult situations and apply a solution-focused, collaborative approach to problem-solving.

You will bring optimism about people's capacity for change, combined with a calm, non-judgemental, and anti-discriminatory approach. The role requires resilience and the ability to work effectively within a chaotic or pressured environment, as well as the flexibility to cover unsociable hours, including early, late, and occasional weekend shifts as part of a rota. A strong understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to address them appropriately will also be essential.

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Nations Trusts and Foundations Officer to help us grow and strengthen our funding from charitable trusts and foundations - specifically those supporting our work in Carers Scotland, Carers Wales, and Carers Northern Ireland.

This is a key role that directly supports policy influence and service delivery across the nations by securing flexible, budget-relieving grants. You’ll be responsible for researching funders, developing compelling applications, and building strong relationships with a range of national and regional trusts. You’ll also work closely with our teams in each nation to stay connected to their priorities and help translate their vital work into fundable and fund-winning cases for support.

It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their expertise in trust fundraising while contributing to lasting change for unpaid carers.

About you

You’ll have experience of writing successful trust funding applications and will feel confident asking for grants of five figures or more. You enjoy writing clearly and persuasively, and you’re good at building positive relationships with funders over time.

You’re organised and reliable, able to manage a busy workload and keep on top of deadlines. You pay close attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate work, especially when reporting back to funders.
You’re someone who works well with others. You’ll enjoy talking to our teams in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to understand what they need and how funding can help. You’re curious, committed, and care about making a difference to people’s lives.

It’s helpful if you already understand the charity landscape in the nations or the challenges unpaid carers face, but it’s not essential. Most important is that you bring a positive, thoughtful approach and are ready to learn.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Operations Officer to play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of Animal Equality UK’s internal operations and supporter services.

This is a varied role covering administration, finance, data management, supporter care, and event coordination. You will be the first point of contact for many of our supporters and stakeholders, providing excellent service while supporting team members across all departments.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You will have a ‘can-do’ attitude and a calm and professional demeanour, thrive on problem-solving, and take pride in ensuring that systems and processes run efficiently behind the scenes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Culture and internal support: Act as a culture ambassador, upholding Animal Equality’s values of professionalism, resilience, accountability, and compassion. Strengthen communication between teams and ensure effective use of project management tools. Identify and lead process improvements with guidance from the Operations Manager.
• Supporter and donor care: Serve as the first point of contact for supporter queries via phone, email, post, and social media. Provide excellent donor support, including thanking donors, resolving payment issues, and sending mailings. Maintain supporter and volunteer records accurately in CRM systems and ensure compliance with GDPR.
• Finance and reporting: Process expenses, supplier payments, and support budget forecasting. Assist with Gift Aid claims, monthly data uploads, and finance reports. Prepare scheduled reports and presentations to track progress against objectives.
• Team processes: Support recruitment processes, including application handling, interview coordination, and onboarding/offboarding schedules. Ensure smooth induction for new staff and manage equipment, training resources, and access.
• Events and operations: Assist with the organisation of internal training, team meet-ups, and supporter events. Support health and safety measures for team members and volunteers at peaceful protests, undertaking risk assessments and first aid training. Manage stock and campaign materials, fulfil supporter requests, and oversee mailing logistics.
• Data and systems: Conduct database cleansing and maintain accurate supporter, volunteer, and executive records.
• Represent Animal Equality’s culture: Support Animal Equality’s life-saving work by producing high-quality output, embracing and representing the organisation’s culture principles proudly at all times, and supporting our philanthropic efforts.
• Support with other ad hoc duties, as requested by your line manager.

Job Title: Floating Support Coordinator

Location: Luton (13min from walk from Luton Train station) No Step Free Access 

Salary: £24,500

About the role

We're looking for a Floating Support Coordinator to join our team based in Luton. You will deliver community based support to the residents of Luton as part of our Luton Synergy Service -  an integrated support service with emphasis on prevention, early intervention and integration for people who are at risk of losing their independence. The service provides tailored support to clients aged 18+ over a maximum of two years, to improve their opportunity to live successfully in the community.  The ethos of the service is to enable, empower and encourage individuals to develop the skills and tools to manage their accommodation, tenancies and health & wellbeing.

Our work with clients takes place at locations to meet individual needs; within our Victoria House resource centre in Luton, at their homes, in other agencies’ premises or in public meeting places. We pride ourselves on providing accessible and flexible services to residents of Luton through partnership working and community engagement. You will work alongside various community and statutory services and you will inspire and motivate our participants to achieve their personal goals, build independence, and live independently within the community. You will provide tailored personalised support to help our participants to live more fulfilling lives, and to engage them with opportunities available within the community, to help them to develop their social skills and independent living skills. 

Key responsibilities:

• Support to source and secure accommodation – both privately and through housing associations or the council
• Support to sustain tenancies – including landlord liaison if there is risk of eviction, addressing poor quality accommodation, anti-social behaviour or neighbour disputes
• Support to improve health and wellbeing
• Advice and guidance on benefits, budgeting, utilities and debt
• Access to specialised support services for domestic violence, mental health, learning disabilities and physical health
• Support for carers and those in an unofficial carer role

We support homeless people or those at risk of homelessness, homeless families with housing related support needs, individuals with drug and alcohol use, individuals with mental health needs, older people with a need for low level support, those that are in fear of violence, those at risk of offending or have an offending history, victims of domestic abuse, individuals with mild learning difficulties and individuals with mild physical disabilities/sensory impairment.

This is a key role responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery and development of our Gateway programme for women.  Alongside the daily management of staff and volunteers, this role is responsible for ensuring that the services provided are safe, best practice and compliant with all relevant policies and procedures.

Main duties:

· Oversight and delivery of all programme activities relating to Gateway including drop ins, one-to-one support, group activities and faith based activities.

· Establish and drive the overall strategic vision for the service in line with the operational plan and informed by the needs of the people the service exists for

· Lead the design and development of new services in line with client needs, resources, staffing and strategic purpose of the team.

· Hold direct budget responsibility for day-to-day operations and in line with any specific funding requirements

· Be an active member of the Off the Fence leadership team

· Review and implement policies and procedures for safe service delivery

· Provide reports on key activity, outputs and impact in line with KPIs and other reporting requirements.

· Line manage the team of key workers, providing regular performance reviews, pastoral support and identifying training needs.

· Support with the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, including in-house training and supervision

· Ensuring that key workers have a good working knowledge of local services, referral routes, other agencies and when to highlight safeguarding concerns.

· Provide pastoral support for the team and volunteers in the service

· Lead Bible studies, prayer meetings for staff, volunteers and at external events as required

· Recruit, retain and manage volunteers in line with organisational policies and procedures

· Ensure safe and efficient delivery of services in line with health and safety, safeguarding, data protection and safe working practices.

·      Plan and maintain safe staffing ratios through effective resource allocation

· Design and delivery of projects/activities in line with fundraised income, including reporting and engaging with funders as required

· Build and establish key sector relationships across the city to enhance the team’s reach and impact in the community

· Oversight and pastoral responsibility for the faith-based activities delivered for and with clients

· Build and establish relationships with other providers who can meet the needs of our clients e.g. local health teams.

· Contribute to wider profile-raising activities of Off the Fence

· Review and implement policies and procedures for safe service delivery

· Have responsibility for the safe processing and storage of client data in line with data protection regulations and policies, including CRM.

· Regularly review the effectiveness, safety and efficiency of all services including drop ins and one-to-one support.

· Active membership of and attendance at local forums, groups and networks

Key attributes and experience required for the role:

· Proven experience in managing frontline services and staff teams (minimum 3 years in a supervisory/management role)

· Experience in delivering services with vulnerable client groups

· Strong knowledge of the legal and statutory framework for housing, benefits, employment.  Ideally, knowledge of local services and support agencies.

· A passion for seeing women thrive – practically, emotionally and spiritually

· Strong alignment with the vision of Off the Fence, and a commitment to our organisational focus

· Strong understanding and application of safeguarding, data protection and health and safety policy.

· Experience in service design, service improvement and project management

· Experience in supporting people with complex and multiple needs, including substance abuse and severe mental health.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.

You will be joining the Warwickshire Dispersed Safe Accommodation service. This service will provide emergency safe accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Housing Support Workers will work closely with the Floating Support Workers and Child Support Workers (who provide the personal support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children) to ensure that the emergency accommodation and support meets the whole range of survivors’ needs.

The post holder will be responsible for the Health and Safety and maintenance of emergency safe accommodation units in multiple 1–3-bedroom properties across Warwickshire. This will include the practical set up and maintenance of home furnishings and utilities in each property and the management of the cleaning and replacements required between each use of the accommodation unit.

The post holder will provide support to survivors fleeing domestic abuse around accessing housing benefit for the dispersed accommodation and support survivors with exploring and accessing move on accommodation.

The Housing Support Worker (HSW) will be responsible for ensuring that the properties will maintain Refuge’s accommodation standards and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and requirements. 

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

At the Haemophilia Society (THS) we want to empower everyone affected by a bleeding disorder to live life to the full, whatever your stage in life.

One in 2,000 men, women and children in the UK have a diagnosed bleeding disorder, which are a group of conditions, including haemophilia and von Willebrand disorder, that result when the blood cannot clot properly. 

As many as a third of bleeding disorder diagnoses have no known family history and can be the result of a random gene mutation. This means a bleeding disorder diagnosis can come completely out of the blue.

• A creative approach to fundraising and events.

Desirable qualities, skills and experience

• Completion of a professional fundraising programme or training course.
• An understanding of long term health conditions, their impact on patients and families, and how being affected might act as a motivation for fundraising.

·Experience of managing a charity’s accounts for fundraising suppliers like Just Giving or other fundraising sites. 

·A good knowledge of data protection (GDPR) legislation and good practice in information management.

·Well-developed IT skills with the ability to write engaging content for the website and social media.

• A good understanding of safeguarding principles when working with vulnerable people and the need for professional boundaries

·Ability to gain the trust and confidence of members and supporters.

·Excellent project planning skills and ability to work on cross-organisational projects from design to delivery.

Other requirements

• Must be prepared to occasionally travel throughout the UK and to work varying hours including evenings and weekends as required.
   
• Due to the nature of our work with children and vulnerable adults, this role will require a DBS check and checks on previous employment.
