War on Want is recruiting a Head of Campaigns - Strategy and Impact to bring in strategic level capacity to War on Want campaigns.

War on Want is dynamic, radical organisation that runs hard-hitting campaigns against the root causes of poverty and human rights violation, mobilising support and building alliances to fight for human rights, especially workers’ rights, raising public awareness of the root causes of poverty, inequality and injustice, and empowering people to take action for change. Reporting to the Director of Campaigns, Policy and Programmes, this is a new role working within the department to provide strategic oversight and coordination across War on Want’s campaigning portfolio, to evolve the organisation’s creative tools and techniques for both online and offline campaigning, and lead on impact learning to inform the development of campaign plans.

The role is both strategic and operational, supporting the development and integration of national and international campaigns that will engage and mobilise new and existing supporters, with a particular focus on War on Want’s priority campaign programme areas on Justice for Palestine and on a Global Green New Deal.

We are looking for an experienced campaign strategist who knows how to drive campaigns forward, familiar with the different tools and techniques to inspire online and offline campaigning, and who can spark creative ways to deliver impact and secure campaign successes working effectively and collaboratively across teams. You will be responsible for managing our three Senior Campaigners who lead on War on Want’s thematic campaigns, supporting strategy development and implementation, taking an intersectional approach to connect across the issues we campaign on, and coordinating across teams to ensure campaigns deliver for the shared organisational objectives of generating impact, engagement and income.

The Purpose of the Role
The External Relations (ER) department includes private fundraising, marketing & communications and advocacy. ER’s goal is to mobilize external audiences to raise funding to meet core organization needs deliver programs that support our clients to recover and gain control of their lives; influence policy changes to improve outcomes for our clients; and build and grow our global brand.  

The Strategy & Planning (S&P) team is responsible for supporting ER to advance our ambitious global strategy, driving impact and strategic change. Edward Alsop court provides support and accommodation for up to 50 men over 50's with complex needs. These needs may be around health, mobility, alcohol use, or mental health. This customer group will be catered for, with breakfast and dinner which is provided on the premises. There are also 29 self catering bed spaces for men over 35 who have low support needs and require support in order to prepare for independent living.

The service also offers specialist support to homeless men across a range of areas including re-offending behaviour, mental health issues, and substance misuse.

EAC implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, in particular those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.

You will provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to manage our programme implementation and delivery. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be tasked with managing the distribution and delivery of our programmes. About the role 

We are seeking a visionary Head of Clinical Services with a deep passion for survivor-centred healing to lead the strategic development and implementation of our therapeutic services. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and culturally responsive services that centre the needs of women and girls surviving violence against women and girls (VAWG). 

Working from an intersectional, trauma-informed, and Black feminist framework, you will play a vital role in upholding WGN’s commitment to holistic healing. About you

You will be an experienced clinical professional (BACP/UKCP accredited) and qualified supervisor with a proven track record in service delivery and team leadership. With a strong understanding of trauma, VAWG, and culturally responsive practice, you’ll be a feminist leader dedicated to anti-oppressive, inclusive approaches and the empowerment of survivors.
