The Purpose of the Role
The External Relations (ER) department includes private fundraising, marketing & communications and advocacy. ER’s goal is to mobilize external audiences to raise funding to meet core organization needs deliver programs that support our clients to recover and gain control of their lives; influence policy changes to improve outcomes for our clients; and build and grow our global brand.  

The Strategy & Planning (S&P) team is responsible for supporting ER to advance our ambitious global strategy, driving impact and strategic change. The S&P team works with leadership to (1) define ER’s strategic goals and associated plans, (2) monitor progress towards them, and (3) lead strategic projects that address barriers or pursue opportunities to advance our ER strategy. Examples of strategic projects include facilitating decision making on when to enter new fundraising markets; building an operating model for collaborative fundraising at the local and global level; improving processes to strengthen the donor experience and financial accounting.  

The Senior Strategy Manager will be expected to lead large, complex strategic projects, developing solutions that solve complex problems and delivering high quality results at a fast pace, in partnership with senior global leaders. Edward Alsop court provides support and accommodation for up to 50 men over 50's with complex needs. These needs may be around health, mobility, alcohol use, or mental health. This customer group will be catered for, with breakfast and dinner which is provided on the premises. There are also 29 self catering bed spaces for men over 35 who have low support needs and require support in order to prepare for independent living.

The service also offers specialist support to homeless men across a range of areas including re-offending behaviour, mental health issues, and substance misuse.

EAC implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, in particular those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.

You will provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Communications and Policy Influencing Lead to spearhead the implementation of the Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub (RSH) communications and policy influencing strategy globally. What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.

About you

About the role
You will launch and lead our major giving fundraising, with the scope to design and implement a strategy that secures five and six figure gifts, while also embedding the systems and practices that underpin a sustainable programme. You’ll have access to the CEO and Board of Trustees, and we’ll also tailor a package of support around you to ensure you can thrive and grow alongside the programme you’ll build.

Initial targets are achievable and grounded in our current situation, and there is room for these to grow ambitiously. This is your chance to launch a programme that will be vital to CARE’s mission, with the scope to shape it around what inspires and motivates you. Along the way, you’ll develop rewarding two-way relationships with our supporters, bringing them closer to the impact they are making for women and communities worldwide.
