The Youth Voice Development Officer is a 12-month internship starting in March 2026. It is part of the Rank Foundation’s Time 2 Shine Leadership programme, and the successful candidate will need to commit to attending a range of training events throughout the year which are delivered by the Rank Foundation. Travel and accommodation will be provided.

Main Purpose of this Role:

The role’s main purpose is to support the delivery and monitoring of Reaching Higher’s Youth Voice strategy by working closely with the Head of Contextual Youth Work (Community) and empowering young people to meaningfully shape and share their voices. This includes supporting young people to co-develop and co-deliver Youth Voice training for a range of stakeholders, preparing and accompanying them to facilitated meetings with key leaders across Croydon’s schools, statutory services and community organisations, and ensuring their perspectives are heard and valued. The role also involves planning and delivering regular training and development opportunities for Youth Board members, supporting youth-led events such as the annual community meal, and mentoring a small cohort of young people to build their confidence, skills and leadership capacity.

We’re offering an opportunity to support the delivery of the Trust’s flagship Lessons from Auschwitz Project, and the Trust’s Youth Advocacy Programme (AKA Ambassador Programme), including all content and quality assurance related to the delivery of a portfolio of activity that falls within these programmes. Ensuring that the young people we work with, through these programmes, understand what the Holocaust was, inspiring them to be part of ensuring this history is remembered, and empowering them to recognise and address antisemitism when they see it today. Driving our youth engagement strategy, developing high quality and empowering content, and advocating for youth engagement and youth advocacy.

About the Role
The Senior Programme Development Lead (Lessons from Auschwitz Project and Ambassador Programme) Maternity Cover is accountable for the delivery of the Trust’s flagship Lessons from Auschwitz Project, and the Trust’s Youth Advocacy Programme (AKA Ambassador Programme), including all content and quality assurance related to the delivery of a portfolio of activity that falls within these programmes. The remit of the Senior Programme Development Lead (Lessons from Auschwitz Project and Ambassador Programme) Maternity Cover will include two areas of leadership:

1. The continued development and delivery of our Youth Advocacy/Ambassador Programme – the Trust’s youth engagement initiative. The SPDL is responsible for ensuring that through this programme the Trust engages young people across the country, ensuring they understand what the Holocaust was, inspiring them to be part of ensuring this history is remembered, and empowering them to recognise and address antisemitism when they see it today. The SPDL is responsible for driving a youth engagement strategy, which actively scales up the reach of the programme – bringing it to new audiences. They will be responsible for developing high quality, inspiring, engaging and empowering content to young people in England, Scotland and Wales – quality assuring the programme and all associated initiatives. The SPDL will be an advocate, internally and externally, for youth engagement and youth advocacy, ensuring the Trust’s voice and reputation plays a role in leading and shaping the sector and a future where young people play an active role in Holocaust remembrance and tackling antisemitism today.

2. Oversight of the Trust’s Government funded Lessons from Auschwitz Project, ensuring that the programme continues to reach students across the country each year; that it continues to be regarded as a globally recognised site-based learning initiative; that we are delivering in line with all associated KPIs; and importantly that the content continues to educate in-line with objectives, and continues to inspire young people to continue to engage with the Trust’s cause. This role will work closely with the Chief Programmes and Outreach Officer to drive delivery across programmes in line with the Trust’s strategic vision and strategic plans. The SPDL will work closely with the Senior Logistics Manager who will be accountable for schools marketing; engagement with and registration for all Trust programmes; all associated logistics for schools’ programmes; and ticketing and logistical support for the Ambassador Programme.

PVRI is a small charity with a global reach. Our aim is to reduce the global burden of Pulmonary Vascular Disease with a particular focus on Pulmonary Hypertension (PH).

PH is a life-threatening and life-limiting condition that affects millions worldwide, but despite that, it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood. To change that, we bring together a fantastic network of many hundreds of PH doctors, academics, patients, and industry partners to identify and address the key global challenges in PH. We’re London-based, and our small friendly staff team comprises our CEO Karen, Head of Operations & Impact Elvia, Head of Comms Debs, Marketing Officer Catherine, Project Coordinator Rachel and Admin Manager Katie. We work a flexible hybrid model, with office space in Work.Life, close to London Bridge and Borough Market. Our preference is for our new Advocacy & Engagement Lead to spend at least 1 day a week working from our office, but we are open to other options, and this can be discussed during the application process.

About the Advocacy & Engagement Lead (Global Health)

As Advocacy and Engagement Lead, you will be the bridge between our global professional network and local healthcare systems. You will scope areas of need, and work with key regional stakeholders to develop and implement plans for new PH services.

Key tasks include

· Developing roadmaps and care guidelines for the development of PH services in underserved regions

· Working directly with local healthcare leaders and PVRI Workstream and Task Forces to understand and navigate local health systems, influence policy and identify resources

· Supporting with targeted advocacy messages and global PH data including prevalence, health economics, etc.

This is an exciting new post, reporting to our Head of Operations & Impact.

If the 2-year pilot is successful, we hope to make this work a permanent part of our global operations.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Job Purpose:

Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending. 

The primary purpose of this role is to provide in-depth, ongoing support to a caseload of women in the community, co-located in hubs across South London. This programme is funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) co-commissioning grant, along with investment from the six Local Authorities, the Community Rehabilitation Company and NHS England. The funding will be used to develop and expand support for female offenders and women at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system across Bromley, Bexley Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham, Merton, Southwark, Sutton and Wandsworth. 

The primary purpose of this role is to provide in-depth, ongoing support to a caseload of women across the South London boroughs. 

The Advocate will: 

• Provide advocacy, support and advice services to women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system.  
• Be co-located across London Boroughs to support clients in Women’s Only Hubs.  
• Attend designated office for monthly team meetings, training and team development time.  
• Provide Through the Gate support to women leaving custody returning to one of the WIP’s boroughs.

Campaigns

• Develop and execute quarterly campaigns plans to manage and schedule relevant advocacy, policy and research work to further our strategic aims

• Co-ordinate a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team to pursue campaign goals

• Identify advocacy and press opportunities to further campaign aims

• Strategise/oversee development of campaign materials & engaging supporter actions 

• Promote Big Brother Watch’s campaigns in the media, writing articles and giving quotes/live interviews to press and for our social media channels

• Uphold Big Brother Watch’s reputational excellence in public fora 

• Work with Director to periodically set campaign priorities in our organisational strategy

• Communicate complex issues to varied audiences, whether parliament, press or public; whether through traditional means (e.g. print media) or public stunts and actions

• Build strong relationships with parliamentarians and advisors across all parties

We are looking for a dedicated Advocacy Campaigns Manager to join Action Against Hunger UK's Advocacy Department.  This is a great time to join our team as we broaden the reach of our public advocacy campaigns to a wider audience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead on developing and delivering our advocacy campaigns strategy and supporting with policy and parliamentary work. Our advocacy and campaigns focus on tackling the key drivers of hunger – conflict, climate change, poverty and inequality – and promoting improved response.

On the campaigns front, this role means spending around three days a week on designing and delivering creative and engaging online campaign actions in collaboration with skilled colleagues across teams, organizing campaign events and building the engagement of chef and food industry supporters in our advocacy. The charity operates as a fully remote working organisation however there will be significant London and UK travel required as part of this role.

The Head of Public Affairs, Policy and Advocacy is responsible for the delivery of the charity’s public affairs and lived experience advocacy strategy. This role is the most senior operational position within a small advocacy function and is accountable for ensuring that agreed strategy is converted into effective, timely and impactful advocacy action by and in support of bereaved families.

The post holder will feed in to overall organisational strategy and will play a critical role in shaping delivery plans, prioritising activity, and personally undertaking significant advocacy work — including drafting letters, briefings, parliamentary questions and amendments, co-ordinating political engagement, and ensuring policy asks are actively advanced within Parliament, government and regulatory processes. The post holder will support and enable bereaved family members to engage in meeting with MPs and Peers and in provision of evidence to committees

The successful candidate will have significant experience in political advocacy or public affairs influencing, with a proven track record of responsibility for delivering policy and political outcomes. You will bring drive and passion to the role, with an empathy for people with lived experience. You will bring experience of hands-on policy delivery and a strong understanding of the UK political system, parliamentary processes and policy-making cycles. You will also have excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive and politically astute documents.
