We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual with office administration and customer service experience to join us as an Administrator and provide the support we need to help us deliver an effective local service. In Norfolk we have provided housing advice for over 25 years, with offices in Norwich and Kings Lynn as well as Court Desks in Norwich, Kings Lynn and Great Yarmouth County Courts. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To develop, implement and evaluate the Banter Project youth service in partnership with adopted young people in Northern Ireland.  These young people range in age from 14-25 years and live throughout Northern Ireland.  The role will primarily work with the project participants, but has additional relationships with community organisations, educational establishments and employers to ensure that all project goals and outcomes are efficiently and effectively met.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To lead the development and delivery of all elements of the Banter Project adopted young people’s service within Northern Ireland in a fun, interactive, interesting and an ability appropriate manner.

• To support the project participants to play an active role in the design and implementation of a programme of monthly activities for adopted young people. Sustaining and developing a monthly social hub, supporting the development of basic life-skills, and preparation for opportunities in further education, training, employment.

• To support a Youth Advisory Group (YAG) in its role to enable adopted young people to steer the Banter Project while developing skills which promote independence, personal development, social and life skills, leadership, and community involvement.

• To organise and supervise the work of the Youth Services Support Worker to deliver the Banter Project. 

• To provide opportunities to connect with, and signpost to, relevant services, particularly those who work with care experienced young people.

• To develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation to review individual goals, track progress and impact, via data and analysis of outcomes to assess effectiveness and areas for improvement.

• To record service activity using the electronic data management systems to collate in preparation for reporting and learning opportunities.

• To gather output and outcome data from the Banter Project service in accordance with the quality assurance systems within AUK. 

• Work with other staff members to deliver a high-quality project for our adopted young people and their adoptive parents.  Work as part of a team to contribute to a positive work environment and shared goals. 

• To attend internal and external training/meetings as appropriate, to remain connected with broader adoption issues, relevant policies, working practices, and network with other youth work providers in Northern Ireland.

Purpose of the job

To work with Thames21’s Head of Finance and The Roding Rises delivery team to oversee the administration of The Roding Rises, a three-year project supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund that aims to kick-start the revitalisation of the River Roding. Track project costs against projected budget to ensure budget vs actual expenditure is effectively managed, raising concerns early with Thames21’s head of finance and The Roding Rises project manager.

• Assist with relevant reporting tasks back to project funders.

The Head of Fundraising will lead all fundraising activities, overseeing the full spectrum of income generation to support our mission of empowering young people through football and education. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to lead on fundraising for an organisation which has barely scratched the surface of the fundraising landscape. We are looking for a creative, driven, compassionate, Communications Lead to develop, lead, and implement an integrated communications strategy that supports our ambition to double the number of adults learning to read with Read Easy UK by the end of our current strategy.

Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organization that puts people first. We support coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries, restore ocean life and build lasting pathways to prosperity. Our work began two decades ago in Madagascar’s remote coastal communities and is growing globally.

Summary job description

We are currently recruiting a Software Developer (R Shiny) to support our evolving operations, supporting our Global Data Science team. Reporting to the Head of Data Engineering, this is a full-time role with occasional travel (1-2 times per year) to work closely with overseas colleagues, partners, field teams and communities.

The successful candidate will be a motivated, proactive and highly organised individual with strong experience in developing interactive data visualisation tools in R Shiny specifically.

You will focus on creating user-friendly, customisable tools to support decision-making in small-scale fishing communities and across the organisation. These tools, designed by the Design and Integration team, aim to transform complex datasets into actionable insights, supporting data-driven decision-making at various levels.

You will demonstrate a proven track record of presenting complex data in clear, accessible formats for both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as project design and management. Ideally, you will have experience with community-based conservation and development initiatives. You will thrive in environments that are collegiate and ambitious, and be able to demonstrate experience of working independently and solving complex problems in challenging situations.

About the role:

We are looking for a Complementary Therapies Coordinator to provide complementary therapies to our patients and carers, as well as working with our multi-professional team and coordinate the complementary therapy volunteers to provide a high standard support to our patients and families.

About you:

You will have experience of working with people affected by a life-limiting illness, as well as experience in different complementary therapies such as aromatherapy, massage, or reflexology. You will have a CNHC professional registration or relevant.

As an Individual Giving Fundraiser, you’ll be managing the planning, delivery and analysis of multichannel regular giving campaigns. This is a new and exciting role which you can out your stamp on. You'll help the charity run smoothly, support our Board of Trustees, coordinate meetings, manage key communications, provide day-to-day office management and ensure that strategic projects are delivered effectively. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to make a real difference through their work. In particular you'll:

• support our CEO with diary management, responding to incoming communications, preperation for events and managing managings
• manage payroll for both the charity and its trading subsidiary, Ignition Brewery
• provide administrative support to our Finance Manager
• coordinate our parent-carer forum, ensuring it is well supported
• support our Board of Trustees including coordinating all aspects of Board and Committee meetings, taking minutes and supporting with Trustee recruitment
• act as our Office Manager, overseeing the various administrative functions and support contracts we need to run smoothly
• assist with the implementation and management of projects across the Charity that support our mission and drive efficiency

As well as our Brighter Horizons team, you’ll also have a hand in supporting our trading subsidiary Ignition Brewery, making this a varied role, ideal for someone who likes to be involved in lots of things at the same time.

We’re a small team but growing and ambitious team, making the role really varied. Experience of administration is a must, preferably in a small charity setting. If you are a people person and are passionate about causes in your community, we want to hear from you.

Senior Finance Business Partner: £85,000 - £92,000 | Birmingham | Hybrid

For Europe's largest infrastructure project, we are recruiting a Senior Finance Business Partner to drive accountability and focus on cost control for the Corporate Services Directorate. This is a key role measuring and reporting on financial performance and promoting effective decision-making of direct and indirect costs. Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering and providing oversight, control and direction to a team of up to 4 Finance Business Partners, this role is key in ensuring the financial targets and value for money are met.

Main Duties:

• Manage, and develop the Finance Business Partner team to embed and drive a cost control and productivity focused culture across the directorate
• Lead the business case development process - reviewing and challenging funding requests to ensure they represent value for money
• Support business performance management, enabling senior executives to effectively manage their budgets
• Manage a diverse range of stakeholder groups with competing priorities and deliver tactical productivity initiatives across business areas
• Interpret and provide insightful analysis from management reports to enable effective decision-making processes across the senior management team
• Oversee the month-end financial close, preparing accounts, completing monthly analysis, variance analysis and assurance of reporting packs
• Support the business through annual business planning and budgeting. Provide quarterly re-forecasts working with non-finance executives
• Submit cash flows for business areas to supporting funding requirements

Person Specification:

• Qualified accountant with strong experience of leading and managing finance business partnering teams

• Strong skills in business partnering key executive level stakeholder groups including planning, procurement, contract management and HR teams.
• Ability to critically review and challenge forecasts, assessing affordability, value for money and the impact om programme delivery
