Check my CVWe have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst to join our Research & Analysis team, providing rigorous analysis and evidence to support and inform Development Initiatives (DI)’s work on enhancing the use, usability and understanding of data, as well as our work on nutrition, food security and poverty.
Duties include:
- Develop the organisation’s work through quantitative and qualitative research on key areas, including nutrition, based on an understanding of the various international and regional actors involved in their funding and delivery.
- Contribute to wider thematic work and consultancy projects as required through analytical inputs.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis according to an established methodology.
About you
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of quantitative research techniques and the ability to conduct high-quality research and analysis independently. You must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel to manage and analyse data, and the ideal candidate will have the ability to develop new ways of analysing and visualising data.
You will be educated to degree level, with substantive focus on quantitative research methods, and at least two years’ work experience in an analytical capacity.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong interest in the political economy of international development, including key issues and players. Prior understanding of and interest in nutrition data and the Global Nutrition Report would be an advantage.

As a Trainee Habilitation Specialist, you will contribute, as a full-time member of staff whilst successfully completing all elements of the 2-year Graduate Diploma in Habilitation and Disabilities of Sight (Children and Young People).
The content of the apprenticeship will be covered through a mix of on the job, and off the job training.
On the job training will be provided by Guide Dogs as part of the habilitation team in the role of Trainee Habilitation Specialist. Off the job training will be covered by the University course, delivered by University College London (UCL), key details of which are below.
University College London Course key dates
Application deadline dates: (if successful, applications must be made to UCL by this date): Early June 2021.
UCL Assessment dates: Early July 2021 at UCL
Course dates: UCL Starting in September 2021, 2-year course.
Successful applicants will be required to apply to, and be accepted by, University College London for Graduate Diploma in Habilitation and Disabilities of Sight (Children and Young People) course.
The applications need to be submitted after a job offer has been made and accepted and before June 2021 to increase the chance of gaining a place on the course. Places on the University course are limited for the September 2021 start date, and offers will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Positions are not held back for Guide Dogs employees.

In your role, you will provide AutoCAD design support for our Design and Engineering teams in the development of high quality urban design, street design, off road walking/cycling routes and on-highway projects – helping us to create healthier lives and happier places for everyone.
About You
We are looking for an experienced AutoCAD user with a Highway design and/or cycle route design background.
You will have experience developing AutoCAD design drawing packs for infrastructure projects and be comfortable working with technical drawings, drawing registers, management systems and design standards.

My client is a NHS Trust in Devon who are looking for some extra capacity over the next 6 months to support a busy finance team and a busy period of activity.
This role will provide a high quality Management Accounting service to the Finance Managers of the Trust. It will be important in ensuring that financial information is processed in a timely and accurate manner and have an important role to play in the management accounting team
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the Senior Management Accountants and Finance Manager by providing Management Accounting assistance and advice to budget holders throughout the Trust.
- Provide Ad hoc duties as required by the Finance Business Managers and the Assistant Director of Finance
- Investigate budget holders and managers complex queries relating to designated budgets and/or business plans in a swift and professional manner.
- You need to have prior experience of working in a complex organisation in a management accounting role and be very familiar with excel and all IT
- Ability to work under pressure and to realign priorities to fit in to business needs on a daily basis is important.
- Prior NHS or public sector experience would be useful but not essential
