About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising team. Community is at the heart of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, and our community fundraising team play a vital role in building relationships and raising funds across our community and catchment. As a Community Fundraiser you will enjoy working with people and supporting the community to maximise, they’re fundraising efforts for Shooting Star.
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We support families across Surrey and London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.
As a key member of our Community Fundraising team, you will work closely with the Community Fundraising Manager on new and existing fundraising activities, helping to maintain and develop existing relationships and work proactively to identify new contacts and opportunities for development. This is an exciting role, in a growing team within a charity that makes a huge impact across our communities. We would welcome applications from candidates who have demonstrable experience in fundraising, marketing or sales, or transferable relationship management skills.
The post will be based at the hospice in Hampton, but you may need to travel extensively throughout Shooting Star Children’s Hospices catchment area and therefore it is essential you are a car owner and driver.
You may be required to attend events and meetings throughout the catchment area during weekends, early mornings or evenings and you should be prepared for this.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Trusts Fundraiser with proven experience, to maximise income for Whizz Kidz services from Trusts and Foundations through researching new funding opportunities, creating high quality applications with Service staff and stewarding existing warm funders effectively.
The Role
As Senior Trust Fundraiser you will secure new funding opportunities and work on a pool of warm and cold charitable Trusts with a focus on the £10,000 to £40,000 range. The role involves researching and qualifying prospects, submitting high quality funding applications and stewarding existing donors effectively. It will also involve managing reporting deadlines and matching potential donors to projects needing to be fundraised for, collaborating with our Service Teams.
You will prepare applications and reports to trusts and foundations, in line with funder deadlines, keeping in touch with donors and prospects via phone, virtually and face to face. You will match potential donors with projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach.
The person
You will have experience of: Securing funding from Trusts with excellent writing and presentation skills; Solid prospect research skills to identify new funding opportunities and maintain a forward pipeline of applications; Of working collaboratively with Service Teams to package and cost project areas; Stewardship of warm funders including preparing donor reports, reviewing financial reports and gathering case studies. You will also have strong time management skills with ability to manage and prioritise your workload and ideally experience of using a CRM for Trust Fundraising.

About the Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP)
The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 700 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, tackling self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Fundraising at BCYP
BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. Until now, applications have largely been submitted by our Fundraising Manager- Trusts & Foundations, with occasional support from a freelance bid-writer. We now want to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward these key relationships.

Job Title: Prospect Research Executive (hybrid/flexible working)

Overview of the Role:
We are looking to recruit a Prospect Research Executive to join our supportive and friendly team. The Prospect Research Executive will report into the Development Engagement Manager in a dynamic Fundraising team and will play an important part in building philanthropy at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), providing research to support fundraisers to make informed decisions to engage, cultivate and solicit gifts from prospects and peer to peer networks.
The RHS already has an enviable network of contacts supporting our work, but we need to expand our network of trusts and major donors to help fund our ambitious targets. You will provide insights into new areas of prospecting to continually replenish the prospect pipeline with high-capacity prospects to meet current and future income targets.
In this role you will lead on researching both trusts and individuals, producing donor profiles, reports and biographies with great attention to detail, allowing fundraisers to make informed choices and maximise opportunities on a variety of fundraising activities. You will also be responsible for producing due diligence reports and have a working knowledge of GDPR best practice.
You will have a strong understanding of fundraising, together with experience of researching high net worth individuals, company directors, and or family trust and foundations boards, the ability to use a CRM database, along with a genuine desire to help us access some of the biggest funding sources available.

As Fundraising Training Executive, you will:
- Get to travel extensively across the UK, in helping support the delivery of fundraising training and quality control activities for our face-to-face fundraisers,
- Be working closely with our Supporter Relations team and prominent agencies managing complaints and positive feedback to ensure a good supporter experience.
- Use your ‘detective skills’ in mystery shopping our face-to-face fundraisers to ensure they are adhering to necessary fundraising regulations.
- Be part of a team who are passionate about fundraising compliance and training.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- You have knowledge of the Fundraising Code of Practice and how it applies to face-to-face fundraising
- Some experience of training techniques which will work across different training needs and styles of learning
