We are now recruiting IPS Employment Advisors to join our IPS service to join our Kingston & Sutton team. This is a full-time, permanent role working 35 hours per week, following the principles of the IPS model to support people into paid employment.
What you’ll be doing
If you were working with us, your days would be varied and people-centred. You would manage a caseload of clients with mental health support needs, people experiencing homelessness, and people with offending histories, offering one-to-one support to help them secure and sustain employment that matches their preferences.
You would provide person-centred guidance using the IPS approach (training is provided), helping clients build confidence, prepare for work, and navigate challenges that may arise. A key part of the role involves engaging employers, promoting the value of our service, and identifying suitable job opportunities.
You would work closely with NHS clinical teams, contributing to an integrated approach to recovery through employment. This includes attending team meetings, coordinating support, and maintaining clear, client-led communication. The role also involves working to agreed targets while maintaining a high-quality, supportive service.
What you’ll need
You do not need previous employment support experience. What matters most is that you bring:

We are now recruiting for a role providing focused, time-limited information, advice and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, supporting them to return to, remain in, or move towards employment, with a particular focus on engaging those facing multiple and intersecting barriers to work.

We are expanding our team of IPS Employment Advisors in our IPS service in the London Borough of Newham. You will be based in one of NHS mental health treatment teams in Plaistow and East Ham areas, working 35 hours per week. IPS services at Working Well Trust have been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adhere closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.
What you’ll be doing
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.
You will spend up to 65% of your week working in the community of Newham to provide localised support to residents of the Borough.
You will also be working to contract targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.
What you’ll need

About the Role

The Role
Position: Dog Trainer
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Location: Homebased covering West Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, East Sussex and Kent
Travel: This role will involve regular travel within the geographical area which you will cover (Kent, London and parts of Surrey and East Sussex). Travel is usually by car however there may be some use of public transport (e.g., to London). Occasional regional travel and overnight stays.
You'll play a vital role in training assistance dogs to a high standard whilst supporting volunteers, partners and the wider team to ensure the health, wellbeing and successful placement of the dogs throughout their working career.
What You'll Be Doing
- Train Canine Partners dogs at all stages of their training, using positive and reward-based training.
- Tailor training programmes to suit individual partner needs during the matching process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all dogs in training.
- Deliver partnership placement courses, supporting both the partner and dog through the transition.
- Participate in volunteer recruitment activities, including events, social media campaigns and community outreach.
About You
- Strong practical and theoretical experience in dog training and behaviour.
- Ability to handle and train dogs at all ages, using positive and reward-based training methods.
- ABTC-ATI or similar qualification could be beneficial but not essential. If you do not have a qualification, the willingness to complete it.
- Good communication and coaching / teaching skills.
- Good self-motivation and initiative.
- ICT skills, Microsoft Office, Salesforce (desirable but can offer training), email, internet etc.
- Full UK clean driving license and use of a vehicle for work that is suitable to safely transport a dog if required.
