We have an exciting opportunity for a Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our team to Act as the expert organisational designated safeguarding lead (DSL) for all work
covering children, young people (CYP) and adults in equal measure. Your role will be homebased but may require you to travel to locations such as hospitals and care homes nationally to meet with stakeholders; therefore, a suitable home internet connection is essential.

About you
You will have at least 2 years’ experience of working as a Designated Safeguarding Lead with line management responsibility, developing, implementing and evaluating of CYP and Adult safeguarding policies, procedures, and training programmes, reflecting current legislation and best practices.You will also have demonstrable experience in leading, managing, influencing diverse teams on safeguarding, focusing on developing a positive culture and promoting continuous professional development.
You should have experience in managing complex safeguarding cases, including conducting risk assessments, deciding on immediate actions, and coordinating with external agencies and key stakeholders.
How will you make a difference?
You will be called upon internally and/or by external bodies as a source of organisational expert knowledge.
You will provide leadership and accountability for the advancement of safeguarding best
practices.
You will work resourcefully and collaboratively across agencies and adapt child protection systems to address risks in diverse social environments as part of a contextual safeguarding approach, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people, vulnerable groups and adults alike.

How are staff supported to work remotely?
VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.
When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).
VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.

HR Advisor
We are seeking to appoint a HR advisor to join a small but very busy HR Team, working 37.5 hours per week.
The role will be home based but there will be a requirement to attend in person team meetings on a regular basis within the Preston area.

Location: Remote (with regular meetings in the Preston area)
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary: £32,375.00 per annum

The Role
As an HR Advisor you will be the first point of contact for HR queries providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on all employment matters.
Your role will support the HR Business partners:
- Responding to initial queries providing clear and consistent practice across a variety of settings generating management reports to monitor sickness absence, performance and employee relations.
- Supporting the HR Business Partners on HR related activities relating to organisational change including TUPE and start-ups, restructuring exercises and job evaluations.
About You
You will be educated to Level 5 CIPD and have an up to date understanding and application of employment related legislation and HR practices.
You will need:
- Experience of providing advice on complex ER matters
- The ability to build excellent relationships quickly with key stakeholders and the wider business

We are looking to recruit a Digital Innovation Adviser (Paternity Cover) to join our Programmes team on a fixed-term basis (16 weeks). This is an exciting opportunity for a technically-minded professional with a passion for responsible AI and digital innovation to play a central role in Elrha's growing portfolio of AI-focused work.
In this role you will have the opportunity to shape how Elrha integrates AI and digital tools across its humanitarian research and innovation work. You will lead the delivery of our AI Lighthouse partnership with NetHope, act as our internal responsible AI adviser, and develop exciting new business development opportunities including an AI Sandbox and Rapid Innovation Fund. You will also play a key role in building Elrha's internal AI strategy and ensuring our digital platforms remain fit for purpose.
Your application will need to demonstrate:
- Experience delivering digital or AI-enabled initiatives, with a good understanding of how AI is being adopted in practice across humanitarian or nonprofit organisations - including the governance challenges, ethical considerations, and barriers to scaling that commonly arise
- Experience contributing to business development, including developing funding concepts, concept notes or proposals for donors in the digital innovation or humanitarian technology space
- An understanding of responsible AI principles - including equity, inclusion, and what it means in practice to translate ethical frameworks into day-to-day institutional use - and the ability to act as an internal point of reference on these issues for colleagues
- The ability to develop and communicate a clear internal strategy or policy position, working across teams to build consensus and prepare documents for senior sign-off
- Strong analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to capture learning from technical initiatives and translate it into clear outputs for internal teams and external audiences
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently, prioritising and delivering to a high standard under pressure
- An interest in the humanitarian or development sectors, ideally demonstrated through academic qualifications and/or paid or voluntary work
- Experience of large-scale digital innovation initiatives, humanitarian evidence synthesis, organisational digital transformation, or working with technical partners to design or implement AI-enabled solutions would also be an advantage.
