The Refuge Manager post is instrumental in the delivery of care, a safe environment and a comprehensive package ofservices that meet the needs of the MENA women at risk of VAWG in our refuges. The post holder will be responsible formanaging IKWRO’s refuges and providing advice, advocacy, and casework support. The post-holder is required to demonstrate sensitivity and an awareness of the culture and needs of IKWRO’s service users in all aspects of their duties and responsibilities.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist clinical practitioner with a background in child and adolescent mental health to provide clinical oversight of 2 multi-disciplinary Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs).  These teams will increase and improve emotional and mental health provision within educational settings for 5–25-year-olds in the West London CCG area.  You will be working within a successful Trailblazer site, which emerged out of the government’s December 2017 plans: Transforming Children and Young People’s Mental Health Provision: a Green Paper.

Crucially, your overall responsibility will be to provide clinical oversight and operational management of the MHSTs, to ensure that children and young people are provided with timely, accountable, and effective services.

You will have a caseload of children and adolescents with mild – moderate emotional and mental health difficulties (number of cases will be dependant of capacity) and will use CBT and Systemic evidence-based models, employing the principles underpinning the national CYP-IAPT programme (Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies).  Early interventions will be delivered in a range of educational settings (primary, secondary, special, alternative provision and sixth form college) across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, as well as in parts of Westminster borough in the North West.  These will build upon the CCG’s and HF Mind’s whole school approach to mental health provision. 

The MHSTs which you will oversee will consists of a team of MHST clinical supervisors, schools practitioners, and Assistant Psychologist Clinical You will be responsible for managing and providing clinical supervision to senior team members,

You will also work closely with families, as well as colleagues and partners in the Local Authority, CAMHS, educational settings where interventions are being delivered and other relevant mental health providers.

• Ensure consistent standards of care across the MHSTs, minimising risk and instigating remedial action if necessary
• Oversee clinical interventions of the MHSTs, developing strategy and service development in partnership with senior team members

Essential Criteria

• Degree from an accredited or recognised body to deliver evidence-based interventions for CYP and or parenting interventions / programmes
• A core profession (e.g., BACP, UKCP, HCP, NMC registration, Social Worker and OT) including registration with a professional body
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a Statutory CAMHS Tier 2 or 3 service, delivering assessments and interventions to children, young people and their families
• Several years of direct clinical experience (autonomously providing assessment, developing treatment plans and delivering a range of therapeutic interventions) with children and young people aged 5-18 with mental health difficulties
• Experience in managing a clinical multi-disciplinary mental health team and providing clinical supervision and case management
• Experience of routine clinical outcome monitoring 
• Experience of managing clinical risk assessment
• Knowledge of systemic, cognitive and psychodynamic theories and when each is appropriate
• Understanding of child development and psychosocial influences

• Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accmmodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
• The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
• In this role, you will provide direct support to all the women, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork.

Carers Manchester Contact Point (CMCP) is the first point of contact for unpaid carers seeking information, advice and support to help them with their caring role.

The service delivers a free confidential helpline for carers weekdays (Monday – Friday, currently 10am – 4pm).

We are a not-for-profit animal welfare organisation which campaigns for the humane treatment of decapod crustaceans such as lobsters, crabs, prawns, and langoustines, based on the scientific evidence of their sentience. Purpose

Reporting to the CEO, the Fundraising Support Manager will support the Fundraising Manager in the fundraising efforts of Crustacean Compassion. This will be  role building on two specific areas of work already undertaken, specifically reviewing, and supporting major donors’ proposals, and developing the supporter journey and engagement process.

The applicant will need to have an active knowledge and warm contacts with potential funders, be able to prepare and create proposals immediately as well as use CRM or external screening sources to identify and communicate with potential major donors. They will have expertise across a variety of revenue streams and will have the support of our Campaigns team to develop engaging funding bids designed to create a supporter journey and long-term engagement.

This role will require a substantial amount of proactive independent working, along with close teamwork.

Responsibilities

Priority will be given to applicants with skills to work quickly and actively in the above  primary areas achieving set income targets, developing ways to maximise unrestricted income.

General Duties

• Implement the execution of the fundraising strategy to lead income streams, delivering growth in restricted and unrestricted income whilst engaging supporter journeys to active givers.
• Work effectively with our Fundraising Manager and CEO to identify, map, and develop a network of potential donors, and unlock opportunities which can help secure the future of Crustacean Compassion and aid it to deliver its mission.

• Monitor and support the ongoing recruitment, engagement, and development of high-profile supporter relationships.
• Develop and manage a rolling stewardship and engagement programme, including the use of online and in-person events where budget allows.

Individual Giving and Community Fundraising

• Review and develop the current supporter journey to lead a regular giving strategy, maximising unrestricted income and supporting donor uplift.
• Develop and implement a stewardship programme through the CRM database.
• With input from the wider team, develop and manage engaging appeals to be run alongside key campaign actions, monitoring their success, and updating activities where necessary, and evaluating performance to inform future appeal plans.

Person specification

Essential

• At least five years of experience working in fundraising, with a proven track record of securing five to six figure gifts ideally in the Animal Welfare field.
• Experience in developing non-profit fundraising strategies, particularly for Major Donors and in developing a supporter journey.
• Evident track record of successfully meeting and exceeding fundraising targets.
• Knowledge and understanding of fundraising, including research sources and funding criteria.
• Evidence of developing successful fundraising applications to institutional and individual grant funders, especially within the Effective Altruism community.

Main purpose of role: To manage the day-to-day running of our grant programmes to organisations and support the practical implementation of any new grant programmes from application process through to due diligence and record maintenance.

Main duties and responsibilities:  

Grant management 

• Act as the first point of contact for grants to organisations.
• Manage a portfolio of organisational grants that deliver our theory of change outcomes.
• Provide full grant management of our organisational grants, including: preparing grant deeds, keeping track of payments and reporting requirements, distilling learning, to grant renewal considerations.
• Organise and conduct regular meetings with funded organisations to learn alongside organisations and see the work in action.
• Implement grant making processes that reflect best practice and encourage learning through our grant making. 
• Keep up-to-date with changes and developments in the external environment and work with colleagues to reflect this in strategy and practice.

Grant programme development 

• Undertaking scoping and research for new grant programmes, and developing practical knowledge about new programme areas as required.
• Providing project management support for new grant programmes alongside the Senior Grants Manager.
• Taking a lead on the negotiation of new grant agreements.
• Managing the day-to-day processes required by any new grant programme from concept through to advertising the fund, assessing grant applications, due diligence, writing recommendation papers to trustees, to awarding funding and gathering and sharing learning.

Team Supervisors & Supervising Advocates

Duties and responsibilities: General

• To work collaboratively with other mangers and assist, when necessary, with providing cover during periods of absence and play an active part in SWAN’s Leadership Team
• Act as the safeguarding lead for the service
• Stay up to date with relevant legislation, changes to practice and wider activities relating to advocacy; to input to policies / procedures (COVID-19, LPS etc).
• Act as a role model for exemplary behaviour, attitude and mindset, embedding a culture of trust and accountability and challenging non-congruency and negativity
• To undertake all training as necessary and stay up to date with Continuing Professional Development
• Support SWAN to ensure that Advocacy Quality Performance Mark practices are business as usual
• Take responsibility for embedding good Health and Safety Practices and adhering to the Health and Safety Policy

Supervision and Development of Direct Reports

• Responsible for the recruitment of their service team
• Responsible for the effective induction of new staff members and support through their induction period
• Undertake regular supervisions and Personal Development Reviews in line with the Company requirements for all direct reports
• Organise and lead regular team meetings, to provide minutes, actions and documentation for each meeting. Team meetings will include professional development and guest speakers
• Deliver training workshops to the team, including lone working, safeguarding refreshers and the Purpose and Principles of Independent Advocacy (Unit 301) in line with Company requirements and maintain records of attendance
• Ensure all team members’ training is up to date and work with the Training Manager to create new opportunities to upskill the workforce
• Undertake all other people management responsibilities for the team in relation to absence and performance management
• Manage disciplinary and grievance issues if and when they arise

Management of Services

• Lead and manage the service in the delivery of outcome focused, issue based, person directed advocacy, in line with the relevant legislation for the advocacy discipline, regulations, codes of practice and internal policy and procedures
• Mobilise and manage local social value projects
• Responsible for the effective triaging of referrals and allocations of casework after considering prioritisation of cases, current caseloads and team members’ skill set
• Provide temporary cover for own team’s case work during periods of absence
• Complete accurate recording and reporting of all service data
• Ensure the timely completion of high quality commissioning report narratives and case studies
• Work proactively with the statutory services to promote the service, problem solve and uphold the agreed engagement protocols
• Communicate and negotiate effectively with a wide range of people, including commissioners, health and social care professionals and voluntary sector staff
• Identify risks in delivering the service and ensure compliance with risk management procedures
• Ensure the effective management of de-escalating client issues and handling of complaints
• Attend stakeholder meetings, forums and networks
• Ensure that good relationships are developed and maintained with other service providers
• Raise the profile of SWAN in the local area by any means identified as necessary

Qualifications Required:

• Diploma in Independent Advocacy Qualification (City & Guilds level 3 or 4) or willing to work towards.
• Level 5 Management qualification, or willing to work towards

We are looking for a Business Support Assistant to join our team in Wales. This is a 12-month fixed term appointment to cover maternity leave. It is a part-time post (equivalent to 3 days per week).

With a keen eye for detail, you will support the efficient delivery of the funding lifecycle by ensuring that new requests for funding are accurately processed and allocated to colleagues. Working in collaboration with colleagues, you will deliver a range of service activities including coordinating meetings and helping organise events, fulfilling travel booking and accommodation requests.

About you

This role requires experience of assisting in managing a shop including knowledge of retail and health and safety legislation and administrative/cash handling experience.

You will also have an ability to deal with customers and maintaining a high level of customer service, have good verbal, written communication skills, as well as being comfortable using IT and EPOS reporting. You will have an ability to motivate yourself and others, have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working under pressure and dealing with changing priorities.
