Art Matters Studio Arts Facilitator

Location: Redhill, Surrey

Salary: £26,820 (pro rata) inclusive per annum

Hours: Part-time, 18.75 hours per week

Waythrough’s community arts studio Art Matters requires a creative individual with an arts background to join our team.

You will have an arts background, qualifications and skills in a range of arts activities and will be involved in supporting attending artists to explore their creative interests during sessions and workshops.

The Role

As part of a small team, you will be required to work closely with colleagues, volunteers and partner organisations. You will need to be flexible and positive and take ownership of tasks and deadlines.

Alongside the team you will enjoy your responsibilities in keeping the studio safe. You will support the implementation of Waythrough’s health and safety polices and carry out risk assessments as needed.

Mainly studio based, you may be required at times to work in an outreach capacity at other Surrey-based community hubs delivering workshops, exhibitions and arts and mental health promotion with occasional out of hours and weekend working.

You will support people to maintain a healthy state of wellbeing through creativity in achieving their creative goals. 

Skills and Qualifications

You will be considered and respectful in your approach to your work and understand the benefits of creativity on mental wellbeing. Calm, resourceful, and enthusiastic you are highly motivated, hardworking, and keen to support people (service users, artists) in a creative and holistic manner. 

You have experience in facilitating art groups, excellent communication skills and will help maintain a friendly and welcoming space, supporting people with all levels of creative experience.

You have good all round IT skills and are confident using Microsoft packages. You may also have experience using iMac editing software and social media platforms. You will learn and use Waythrough’s programmes, systems and processes daily.

You are able to work in an outreach capacity at other Surrey based community hubs delivering workshops, exhibitions and arts and mental health events.

You are able to provide occasional evening and weekend work.

You will work with partner organisations.

You will have both 3D and 2D art making experience and art experience.

You will be able to participate in 5 day week shift rotas.

What we are looking for

We're looking for an experienced and ideas-driven Individual Giving Fundraiser to join our dynamic, warm and dedicated team. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of a new Arts for Dementia individual giving strategy. You will lead on campaigns and develop / deliver Arts for Dementia’s supporter engagement journey to develop strong and long-lasting supporter relationships. The role will actively contribute to Arts for Dementia’s overall fundraising strategy and income generation.

Main purpose of job

To support the Fundraising Manager to reach our income targets, with a focus on individual giving.

• Part time: 21 hours per week, working flexibly
• Salary: £35-37k (pro-rata’d)

Key responsibilities:

Donor acquisition

· Initiate and deliver acquisition strategies to attract new individual donors.

· Identify target audiences, test new channels and messages to drive supporter growth.

Campaign management

· Plan, deliver, and evaluate multi-channel fundraising campaigns (e.g., email, direct mail, social media).

· Collaborate with communications manager to create compelling donor appeals.

Donor stewardship & retention

· Manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors, ensuring timely and personalised communication.

Data management & reporting

· Maintain accurate donor records and manage donor Donorfy.

Skills, knowledge and experience:

Essential

· Previous experience in an individual giving role, with good working knowledge of fundraising best practice

The Royal School of Needlework is the International Centre of Excellence for the Art of Hand Embroidery. Based at the historic Hampton Court Palace, we have been dedicated to preserving and innovating in the art of hand embroidery since 1872. Overview of Role: To provide operational and administrative support across the RSN’s educational programmes, including the Certificate and Diploma, Tutor Training Course, Short Courses, International Summer School and On Demand Courses.

The main duties include, but are not limited to

General Administration

• Manage the Education Email Inboxes, responding to queries and complaints as appropriate

· Use contacts from the artistic director and trustees to generate new donors

·  Ensure that our top and potential donors are well looked after and researched, passing on key information to the Artistic Director and, where appropriate, arranging meetings between him and our donors

As a key member of JW3's Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will lead, manage and motivate the small but mighty JW3 Development fundraising team, currently including: Head of Philanthropy, Trust & Foundations Manager, Individual Giving & Legacies Manager, and Fundraising Coordinator. You will work closely with the CEO, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Trustees, to accelerate the growth of fundraising across a diversified range of income streams to achieve long-term, sustainable income growth.

You will have responsibility for further developing and implementing an ambitious fundraising strategy in line with the organisational objectives and priorities. You will work closely with key professional and lay stakeholders - including Trustees - and will be responsible for initiating, developing and sustaining productive relationships with a range of new and existing donors; identifying and developing new prospects; creating and implementing an effective stewardship programme and initiatives; overseeing budgets; and proactively managing individual relationships. You will have the proven ability to build strong personal networks, and to engage and influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

We are looking for an Engagement Manager (East of England) to join us on a fixed term contract, for 12-months, to cover maternity leave.

About the role

The key purpose of the Engagement Manager role is to deliver regional Sight Loss Councils across the East of England and to engage with blind and partially sighted people across the region.  We currently have two Sight Loss Councils (SLCs) in this region, so the postholder will be expected to care-take and develop both SLCs, focusing on the retention of the volunteers engaged and making sure the projects and work they are involved in, continue with success. You will also be managing and developing stakeholder relationships across all the areas in which we work including transport and health sectors, as well with local authorities and arts and culture venues in the region.

About you

You will have the passion and ability to use your lived experience or experience to influence change, for the benefit of blind and partially sighted people. As an experienced volunteer manager, you will engage and lead Sight Loss Council members in the implementation of the region’s business plans to bring about change across transport, health and the built environment, as well as areas of local interest such as arts and culture or retail.

You will be a self-starter and work well on your own but will also enjoy being a part of a team of other Engagement Managers across the country, with whom you can learn from, as well as share good practice with.

The Development Manager will primarily be a Trust and Foundation fundraiser who can demonstrate a genuine interest in the work of The Sixteen. LAE Tottenham seeks to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic individual to oversee the management, security and strategic development of the school’s IT infrastructure. They will oversee the maintenance of network systems, servers and IT services to ensure reliability, security and efficiency across the school.
