A key member of the Development and Alumni Relations Office’s (DARO) Philanthropy team, you will be responsible for growing major gifts opportunities and building a sustainable pipeline of future donations from global philanthropic markets. You will have experience of delivering against financial targets, along with the ability to translate complex information into a compelling ask in both verbal and written form. As the Head of Philanthropy - Global, you will be responsible for growing our international major gifts programme. In collaboration with the Associate Director of Philanthropy you will develop and implement fundraising strategies to increase major giving in Asia and North America as well as emerging areas of focus. You will manage a personal portfolio of six figure + (GBP) potential supporters and personally raise gifts in excess of £1m p/a. You will manage the international philanthropy team of two individuals and support them to deliver their annual fundraising and supporting targets.
As a senior fundraiser in DARO, you will be innovative, self-motivated, and take ownership of fundraising opportunities. As part of a dynamic team and led by some of the most respected names in higher education fundraising, you will work across the University to generate significant gifts for amazing philanthropic projects and encourage new donors to make long-term, sustainable gifts. Job Profile
The Major Gifts (MGP) Executive – Corporates and Outreach (MGECO) is a hybrid role responsible for managing a small pool of corporate donors and prospects as well as working with colleagues to coordinate outreach within priority Major Donor audiences.
CAFOD’s Corporate Partnerships Portfolio has an annual target income of £858,000. The Executive will be responsible for a small group of Corporate Partners giving under £50,000/year, with the goal of maintaining and maximising the value and potential of these relationships
A key component of CAFOD’s continued MGP fundraising success is the identification and development of a strong pipeline of new major gift donors. Working with colleagues, the Executive role will identify and cultivate prospective donors with the goal of expanding the MGP Section portfolio. This will be achieved through strategic outreach work within CAFOD’s priority audiences.
The role sits within the Corporate Partnerships Team, a part of the Major Gifts and Philanthropy Section in the Fundraising and Participation Group. The post reports to the Corporate Partnerships Manager (CPM), working closely and in consultation with the Philanthropy Manager (PM) and MGP Research and Information Manager (MGPRIM). The post-holder will collaborate on strategic planning and cross-functional initiatives within the MGP section. They will also contribute to cross-team projects as agreed with the CPM.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising – ideally in major gifts and philanthropy donor management or external relationship development. They will have experience in operational planning and a collaborative mindset. They will be a confident self-starter capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to develop and grow impactful relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Partnerships Relationship Management
- Be responsible for the day-to-day management of a small portfolio of Corporate Partner Relationships with the goal of maximising the value of relationships. This includes proposal and report writing as well as written, telephone and face-to-face communication
- Facilitate engagement with corporate partner staff to feedback on CAFOD’s work and foster participation using both traditional and innovative methods.
- Work in collaboration with colleagues across communications and digital teams to promote CAFOD’s Corporate Partnerships offer.
- Work on and monitor KPIs for corporate donors.
- Support the CPM with wide Corporate Partnership work as required.
MGP Donor Outreach
- Work collaboratively with MGP team leads and wider organisation staff to deliver a prospecting strategy which successfully identifies and engages priority audiences. These audiences include Catholic Parishes, Diaspora Communities, Catholic School Alumni, and other audiences in which high-net-worth individuals may be engaged.
- This will include responsibility for:

- Prospecting – carrying out desk research and working with necessary internal CAFOD stakeholders to identify priority audiences.
- Planning – Strategising engagement plans with identified audiences, working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinating engagement – Working with colleagues across the MGP team and wider CAFOD staff as well as external stakeholders to coordinate the delivery of engagement activities that reach priority audiences and are in line with wider CAFOD engagement activity.
- Ensure that the MGP prospecting and outreach strategy is in line with the wider organisation strategy and priorities, communicating progress with colleagues across the organisation regularly.
- Establish and work to clear success measures and KPIs, set targets for the overall strategy and specific engagements, and ensure appropriate tools and resources are in place to achieve them.
Administrative, Support, and Planning
- Support in the administration of corporate donor portfolio, working with CAFOD colleagues to transition donors out of and receive donors into the corporates portfolio when necessary.
- Work with the Corporate Partnership Manager and Philanthropy Manager to shape strategy, support forecast targets and activities as well as reporting, planning and budgeting.

Essential Criteria
- Clear understanding of corporate partnership and major donor fundraising and an ability to build relationships at various levels to achieve objectives.
- Comfortable in the major donor and business environments; understand what decision-making processes may influence the support for charities.
- Strong in writing effective supporter communication material and confident presentation skills.
- Strong research skills to identify potential donors and engagement opportunities within priority communities.

Job Profile

The post holder will contribute to ensuring the Supporter Donations Team (SDT) manage and administer supporter donation activity on behalf of CAFOD, providing a high level of supporter care while delivering within agreed service levels and Key Performance Indicators. SDT has the overall responsibility for managing and thanking all supporter donations to CAFOD made through a variety of channels and schemes. SDT works within the Finance and infrastructure group, liaises across all teams in CAFOD, and external service providers to ensure donations are processed within agreed service levels and quality standards. Due to the nature of SDT’s role, SDT has particularly close ties to CAFOD Fundraising activities and actively engages in our fundraising programmes and schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Supporter Care:
- Handle telephone, email and postal enquiries from supporters; identifying and resolving queries in a prompt, warm and sensitive way.
- Provide phone cover to the Supporter Care team as required.
- Provide reception cover to the Supporter Care team as required.
Donations:
- Accurately code donations received, ensuring agreed departmental procedures are followed.
- Process, set up and administer instructions and payments through a variety of donations channels and schemes such as Online, Direct Debit, standing orders, BACs, Payroll giving schemes and online giving platforms.
- Input and maintain data on CAFOD’s supporter database, ensuring high degrees of accuracy on our donor records.
- File and archive financial data, while adhering to strict audit controls.
Gift Aid:
- Understand Gift Aid and its application within CAFOD.
- Assist with all aspects of tax effective giving, in accordance with agreed procedures and priorities, including preparation of regular tax claims for submission to HMRC.
Thanking:
- Produce and dispatch letters to thank and acknowledge donations received.
- Write bespoke letters of thanks to supporters to respond to exceptional donations and provide a personal touch.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancement and improvement of supporter thanking
Post/banking:
- Assist with all incoming and outgoing postal duties held by SDT to maximise effectiveness of processes and delivery of key service levels.
- Preparation of daily banking, cash handling and initial reconciliation of all monies received daily.
All SDT staff are expected to:
- Attend and contribute to regular team, section, divisional and CAFOD-wide meetings and briefings.
- Work as a supportive member of the team, providing cover for and training of the section staff and volunteers as required.
- Participate in training and other activities as requested by the line manager
- Assist with the rapid set up of projects and work packages in response to major emergency and disaster appeals.
- Rotate through all key tasks within the team / section.

Purpose of role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role at Lumos at a time of organisational strengthening and global growth. As a member of the wider leadership team, the Head of People will be central to building and embedding high-quality, values-led, and risk-aware people practices that enable Lumos to deliver its mission and long-term ambitions.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a respected and growing organisation, BPNA is looking for a highly motivated individual who can use their dedication, attention to detail and reliability to help us develop further. We are seeking to appoint a UK Short Course Co-ordinator to join our small team which is based across our Bolton and London offices. This is a full-time, permanent post based in Bolton, working 37.5 hours a week (7.5 hours per day x 5 days per week). The Short Course Co-ordinator will provide customer care as well as logistical and technical support to both online and face-to-face UK short courses.

The British Paediatric Neurology Association (BPNA) is the professional organisation for doctors who specialise in the care of children with neurological disorders. The BPNA has developed a number of educational programmes for doctors in the UK and overseas both online and face-to-face. This role directly supports the education of healthcare professionals across the UK, impacting the care of children with neurological conditions.
ABOUT YOU
This role would suit an organised, efficient and practical person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good deal of common sense. You will also have diplomatic skills and the ability to build good relationships. You will need to be flexible, have an ability to problem-solve on-site, provide online zoom support, set up equipment such as computers and data projectors, and to organise highly educated people whilst remaining calm and maintaining a sense of humour. We are looking for someone to join our team who will contribute to maintaining and developing our customer focused ethos.
While this role is primarily based in Bolton, there will be some UK travel with overnight stays to support in-person courses. We offer time off in lieu or overtime paid for additional hours worked.

LOCATION
While this role is based in Bolton, BPNA offers hybrid working arrangements, enabling you to balance time between working from our office and from home. You should anticipate spending an increased amount of time in the office during your probationary period.
JOB PURPOSE
This role provides hands-on experience with technology support for virtual courses and event planning for in-person courses for health care professionals, equipping you with skills in both administrative and event coordination settings. All course planning and logistics are arranged from the BPNA offices.
The purpose of this role is to:

The Organisation
The Global Strategic Communications Council (GSCC), hosted by Meliore Foundation and funded by philanthropy, is a network of communications professionals in the fields of climate, energy, and nature. A collaborative network in over 20 countries, across 6 continents, GSCC covers themes including climate science and impacts, food and nature, finance and economics, energy, transport, industry, and multilateral climate processes.
With a focus on media debate and public discourse at the global level, and in major economies across Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, and the Americas, GSCC supports partners in a variety of sectors and geographies via unbranded strategic communications strategies to support the goals encapsulated by the Paris Agreement.
Decarbonising the built environment is among the most urgent and under-communicated climate imperatives but is often framed as costly, bureaucratic, or politically challenging. To address this, GSCC is establishing a dedicated Built Environment Strategic Communications Hub, within the broader GSCC network. The hub will bring together strategic communications expertise and campaign delivery to support the transition to near-zero and resilient buildings.

The Role
Reporting to GSCC’s global Network Director, this role provides vision, leadership and direction to a new global initiative dedicated to accelerating the decarbonisation of buildings. While the initial focus is Europe and India, the role is explicitly designed to scale into a truly global function, requiring a leader with a strong international outlook and experience. The Hub's initial strategy will focus on key countries including United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, France, Spain, and India, working in close collaboration with partners to create public demand, political will, and market momentum for action.
Your purpose is to establish the Hub as the leading strategic communications resource on the built environment, translating technical building decarbonisation agendas into compelling stories that resonate with the public, policymakers, and markets. You will:
- Shape and implement the overall vision and strategy of the Hub.
- Build, manage, and develop a high-performing, cross-cultural team of up to 7 communications professionals in the initial phase, fostering strong collaboration across countries, disciplines, and political contexts.
- Identify policy issues to shift via strategic interventions for maximum impact.
- Oversee effective national campaigns, ensuring they are achievable and evidence-based.
- Manage the budget, financial reporting, and stakeholder relationships.
Skills Required
You have significant expertise in impactful, strategic communications/campaigns, which includes team leadership experience. Ideally you have demonstrated expertise in climate change, the built environment/housing, or energy transition, in collaboration with civil society organisations, policymakers, business associations, and media.
The role requires a proven ability to build trust, alignment, and performance across culturally diverse teams and partners, operating across multiple political, institutional, and media contexts.
The strategic communications campaigns you have designed and delivered have influenced public or political debate at national or international level and you have strong geopolitical knowledge and networks in at least one of GSCC’s key UK/Europe locations. You also bring:
- Leadership of campaigns, media, and digital teams across European geographies, with experience collaborating across global markets.
- Strong geopolitical nous and political strategy expertise to influence change.
- Budget management (€1M min), compliance, and reporting experience.
- Ability to operate successfully — and lead others effectively — in complex, dynamic, political, and cross-cultural contexts.
- Excellent English communication skills: a European language is a plus.

ROLE PURPOSE:
ShelterBox's Programme Delivery Team is divided into 4 sections - MENA/Asia, East and Southern Africa (ESA), West Africa and Latin American and the Caribbean, and the Philippines. These sections are headed by a Regional Director, who is responsible for the delivery of rapid-on set, protracted and preparedness projects in their regions. ShelterBox's Emergency Team supports the Regional Teams in the delivery of these projects. Each Emergency Coordinator is assigned to a Region but can be deployed to cover an emergency across the world depending on current capacity of the team.
As an Emergency Coordinator within ShelterBox's Emergency Team, you will be responsible for assessing and responding to emergency shelter needs because of sudden onset and/or rapidly escalating crises across the globe.
This role will support communities affected by disaster by establishing and managing ShelterBox's humanitarian responses in partnership, delivering impactful outcomes at speed and scale. Fast-paced relationship building, partnership brokering, and project management skills are essential.
Emergency Coordinators are often the most senior ShelterBox representative on the ground during an emergency response and are typically responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams inclusive of response team volunteers. The role is highly deployable, and you can expect to work in austere conditions in countries affected by disaster. When working from the UK, either at our HQ in Truro, Cornwall or remotely from home, your time will be spent supporting an allocated region in the delivery of their project and preparedness portfolio. The Emergency Coordinator will also work with the Head of Emergency Response to support the technical emergency improvement initiatives as part of ShelterBox's strategy. This is likely to include the development of tools and processes, as well as work on emergency preparedness.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
ShelterBox is seeking a delivery-focused, practical, and proactive individual with experience of working in humanitarian emergency settings. This role would suit someone with humanitarian experience, who is looking for shorter emergency deployments balanced by remote management of responses. The right person will have experience of project development and day-to-day management, risk management and meeting and reporting against agreed objectives.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Establish, design and manage the delivery of emergency response projects to assigned disasters in line with the organisational and programme strategies, policies, and procedures
- Support the delivery and implementation of preparedness planning and activities during time of non-response, working with regional directors and colleagues when not deployed
- Ensure timely, safe, and impactful project/programme design and implementation, through close coordination with the wider Regional Team and key support functions, including Finance, MEAL, Safety and Security, Shelter Technical and Supply Chain
- Provide the first point of contact for deployed teams and disaster monitoring on a 24/7 routine and emergency basis as part of a roster
- Deploy to areas affected by disaster, act as Project Lead when required and provide leadership and mentoring to team members, as identified by the relevant Regional Director and Head of Emergency
- Initiate and sustain strong and mutually beneficial partnerships with local and international organisations - develop working relationships and effectively coordinate with other actors
- Work closely with the Travel Security Management team to prioritise the safety of our teams. Adapt to evolving issues that could adversely affect ShelterBox staff, partners and/or project delivery
- Prioritise 'do no harm' principles. Ensure those who encounter ShelterBox as a result of our activities are safeguarded from deliberate or inadvertent actions and failing which place them at risk or abuse, sexual exploitation, injury, and any other harm
- Work closely with the Deployments Manager and Learning & Development to ensure appropriate resourcing from staff and volunteers, including supporting the delivery of training
- Maintain effective and coordinated budget management, working closely with the Programme Funding and Finance teams to ensure appropriate monitoring processes are in place
- Maximise contributions in support of Fundraising efforts, including media engagements from HQ and/or during deployments
- Provide timely updates on project delivery and impact to Regional and Emergency leadership and report verbally or in written format to internal and external audiences as required
- Lead a culture that actively promotes improvements in its practices, processes, and outcomes, across all aspects of its work, seeking feedback from all stakeholders
