The team compromises a range of highly skilled professionals who work collaboratively to provide the highest quality of care, for those with mental health needs within the prison and for Rethink Mental Illness employees, this is carried out between 0800 – 1600 Monday to Friday.

What I will do and achieve:

In this role, you will make a real difference by supporting individuals with mental health needs within a prison setting. Your work will focus on empowering recovery, delivering evidence-based interventions, and ensuring high standards of care.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage referrals – Assess suitability of new referrals, following agreed protocols, and ensure clients receive the right level of care, including stepping up treatment when needed.
• Support recovery – Help people with mental health challenges to self-manage their recovery through person-centred assessments and risk evaluations.
• Deliver interventions – Provide low-intensity, evidence-based interventions such as Guided Self-Help and psycho-educational support, drawing on CBT principles.
• Collaborate and coordinate – Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to maintain a stepped care approach and attend relevant meetings.
• Maintain high standards – Protect client confidentiality, record outcome measures, and ensure accurate clinical data entry in line with best practice.
• Build partnerships – Liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies to support continuity of care upon release from prison.
• Meet service goals – Adhere to agreed activity targets to minimise waiting times and ensure accessible treatment delivery.

Key Responsibilities and Commitments:

• Work in line with Prison Service policies and procedures, supporting relevant programmes and contributing to risk management and public protection.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) through IAPT Low Intensity National Programme (e.g., Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies).
• Accredited with a recognised body (BACP or BPS).
• Experience delivering evidence-based low-intensity interventions at Step 2 within a stepped care model.
• Strong knowledge of assessment, screening, referral processes, record-keeping, and brief psychological interventions.
• Skilled in applying evidence-based psychological therapies and using clinical outcome measures.
• Ability to build inclusive, therapeutic relationships and respect diversity.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and confident with IT systems (Word, Excel, databases).
• Committed to professional development and constructive use of supervision.

• Post-qualification experience delivering the full range of evidence-based IAPT low-intensity interventions at Step 2.
• Proven experience working within a stepped care service, supporting individuals with mental health problems and achieving recovery outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of assessment procedures, screening, referral processes, record-keeping, and evidence-based brief psychological interventions.
• Understanding and application of evidence-based psychological therapies relevant to this role.
• Ability to build effective therapeutic relationships and practice inclusively, respecting cultural diversity and individual beliefs.
• Commitment to an inclusive values base that promotes recovery and respects diversity.
• Experience using clinical outcome measures to inform and improve practice.

This is an opportunity to contribute to specialist work aimed at preventing sexual harm and supporting children and young people, families, carers and professionals through high-quality assessment, consultation, intervention and training. The post also includes specialist assessment and intervention work relating to sexualised behaviours.

About the Role
As Early Intervention, Prevention and Assessment Practitioner, you will:

• Undertake risk and needs assessments and produce clear reports and recommendations
• Deliver psychological, psychoeducational and therapeutic interventions
• Manage a defined caseload of clients
• Work closely with children and young people, families, carers, professionals and partner agencies
• Develop and deliver specialist sexual violence training and educational resources
• Maintain accurate records, evaluation data and outcome reporting
• Help develop service policies, procedures and practice guidance
• Promote Purple Leaf and WMRSASC services locally and nationally
• Represent WMRSASC at meetings, events and through stakeholder engagement.

 
About You
We are looking for someone who brings both professional expertise and a strong commitment to survivor-centred, trauma-informed practice.
You will ideally have:

• A Level 3 qualification or above in social care, health care, community work, education, therapy or a related field
• Experience of working within the sexual violence field
• Experience of working with children and families
• Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and legislation and guidance relating to sexual violence
• The ability to provide non-judgemental, trauma-informed support
• Strong organisational, communication and crisis management skills
• Confidence working independently and collaboratively with multi-agency partners
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

 
Desirable qualifications include AIM Specialist or equivalent assessment training, Adult Learning certification, and a Level 3 qualification in Sexual Violence.

We are recruiting a Scotland Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team in Edinburgh. The role will involve delivering psycho-educational individual and group work to adults who are concerned about sexual thoughts, feelings and behaviours towards children. Assessments of clients and answering calls to our Scotland helpline will be a key part of this role. The majority of referrals will be adults who are under investigation or have been arrested for online sexual offences, including accessing child sexual abuse material.

The Breaking Barriers Project is a service which works with Children, Young People (CYP) and Families who have been affected by the imprisonment of a parent or close family member. Our service offers one-to-one support to Children and Young People to maintain a connection with the imprisoned parent/loved one (where appropriate), support their emotional wellbeing and build resilience to enable them to reach their full potential. The work we do plays a critical role in helping to reduce reoffending rates and improve outcomes for children and young people.

The role of the post holder is to provide outcome-based support designed to address the needs of children and young people with a parent/carer or close family member in prison who may feel isolated or excluded in their home and community, ensuring that these programmes meet individual needs and further the aims of Ormiston Families.

To carry out initial assessments with parents/carers and partner agencies following referrals to the service and identify and agree individual outcomes for children and young people.

To work one-to-one in the home, schools, online, and other community settings, coordinating packages of support with CYP, with other agencies where appropriate, that meet the complex needs of children and young people, reduce risks, improve safety and work towards emotional well-being and development.

About the Role

The service offers a psychologically informed environment across four sites, providing low to high support forensic mental health services to our residents with forensic mental health needs, complex conditions, and dual diagnosis. In this role, you will drive the delivery of evidence based psychological assessments and interventions aimed at the rehabilitation and reintegration of our residents into the communities. At Milestones we’re on the lookout for a new Nurse Practitioner to join our nursing team in the mental health division, supporting the mental health and physical health needs of the people we support. Working across Mental Health Nursing services in Bristol, South Glos and Weston, you will be providing high levels of care for people who have severe and enduring mental health support needs and physical comorbidities. At times, there will be an expectation to work flexibly including weekends if the needs of the service require this.

Successful individuals will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of problem solving and working well under pressure. You will need to be creative, flexible and able to work on your own initiative. Nurses will need to have a range of skills to meet the needs of the people we support and full induction, training and supervision will be offered.

Working alongside our specialist nursing teams, successful candidates will support effective nursing care and interventions for the people we support.  

You will be supported by operational managers and the Clinical Nurse Advisor who will ensure you are giving the best head start in your new career in social care, through a structured induction process.

Nurse Practitioners will also support Student Nursing Associates and Student Nurses as part of their role, including providing clinical supervision and practice assessment. Due to the nature of the role, nurses will be expected to frequently travel across the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire areas.

You also will be asked to support the wider training and learning for the Trust through co-producing and occasionally delivering training. Therefore, experience in delivering training is also desirable.

We’re currently recruiting full-time or part-time (min. 21 hrs. p.w.) Mental Health Practitioner in our Young Carers Service to work directly with young people in Croydon.For all posts you need to have a mental health qualification (or other relevant qualification i.e. Youth Work, Social Work) and at least two years’ experience of working with young people. We are also looking for people with an open and flexible attitude; excellent engagement skills and a passion for working with children and young people around mental health. It would be desirable if you have experience working with young carers, young adult carers or families with caring responsibilities.

Responsibilities include offering detailed carers assessments and a flexible range of short-term mental health interventions to children and young people aged 5-25 including individual and group-based support; annual reviews, workshops, mental health/wellbeing/carer themed activities, respite activities for young carers. The posts have scope and opportunity for developing new initiatives and ways of working to support young people’s mental health and wellbeing across South London.

All posts are fully office based and will require flexible working across service areas and interventions and will involve regular evening (2 evenings for full time) and weekend (Saturday) work to meet the needs of young carers and young adult carers.

The Role:

IRIS is a specialist domestic violence and abuse (DVA) training, support and referral programme for general practices. The IRIS Advocate Educator provides in-house domestic abuse training and ongoing consultancy for general practice teams and is an advocate to whom patients can be referred for support. As an Advocate Educator, you will provide tailored practical and emotional support to clients referred by trained GP practices.

You will be part of a national network of IRIS Advocate Educators who deliver training to local GP practices to raise awareness of domestic abuse and improve early identification.

About the Role

We are excited to recruit a PCN Cancer Care Coordinator to support people living with cancer across the Clifton and The Meadows Primary Care Network in Nottingham.

This role is central to delivering a holistic, person‑centred cancer care coordination service, supporting patients beyond clinical treatment and ensuring their wider emotional, practical and social needs are met. Working closely with GP practices, Primary Care Network colleagues, and the voluntary and community sector, you will help improve experiences and outcomes for people affected by cancer.

You will work in direct partnership with Self Help UK’s Macmillan Beyond Diagnosis Service, carrying out Cancer Care Reviews and Holistic Needs Assessments (eHNA), developing care and support plans, and helping people to access the right support at the right time.

• Supporting people newly diagnosed with cancer through Cancer Care Reviews and eHNAs
• Creating individualised care and support plans based on each person’s needs
• Acting as a single point of access for non‑clinical cancer support
• Referring and signposting patients to appropriate voluntary and community services
• Working closely with GP practices to ensure reviews are recorded on NHS systems
• Supporting work to increase cancer screening uptake, especially within targeted communities
• Building strong relationships across health, social care and the voluntary sector
• Ensuring safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection standards are upheld

You’ll work flexibly across GP practices, community settings, patients’ homes and the Self Help UK office in Nottingham, with some home working available.

Safe Haven Sussex CIC is a non-profit community interest company providing accommodation and support for vulnerable adults who have been homeless or vulnerably housed. The Seagull Project is a medium-support service providing housing for up to 40 residents across 7 properties in Brighton and Hove. The Seagull Project takes a harm-reduction approach, supporting individuals with a range of complex and multiple support needs, which may include the active use of substances.

The Seagull Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the service and manage a team of Support Coordinators, ensuring a high standard of person-centred and trauma informed support is consistently provided to residents. In addition, the Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the team to manage risk, enabling residents to live safely and are supported to work toward their goals. A comprehensive understanding of safeguarding procedures and risk management is necessary for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the referrals and assessments process, working closely with Brighton and Hove City Council.
