Not all young people have the same opportunities in life.

Caudwell Youth exists to level the playing field for young people at risk.

They may be care experienced, have mental health challenges, be neurodivergent or be at risk of exploitation or offending.

Caudwell Youth is a dynamic new charity which has just celebrated its third birthday.

What we do 

Caudwell Youth shapes young people’s futures by providing person-centred support to at risk 11 to 24-year-olds through volunteer-led mentoring for up to 18-months, alongside a targeted intervention programme.

Our vision is to help every young person at-risk in the UK. We give young people the time, trust and support they need to shape a positive future, no matter their starting point. 

Our mentoring service is designed to ensure every young person feels safe, heard and supported. Each young person gains a trusted adult (a trained volunteer) who meets with them once a week to support them as they take steps towards a more positive future.  

This year, we have supported more than 400 young people.

Our fundraising 

We have a compelling fundraising proposition. We were founded by billionaire philanthropist John Caudwell, who has pledged to match all donations and fundraising at 33%.

Our mentoring service is delivering exceptional outcomes for young people, and we are ambitious for the future.

This is a crucial time for Caudwell Youth’s fundraising function, as we are set to embark on a new strategy for national growth in the new year. For the financial year just gone, grant income accounted for around 28% of our fundraising revenue.

Our aim is to grow our charity sustainably, while continuing to meet the evolving needs of at-risk young people in ways that are effective and life-changing. This role will be a key part of that journey.

What we're looking for 

We are looking for an experienced grants, trusts and foundations fundraiser who can hit the ground running, both in solidifying and owning our valuable relationships with existing grant and trust fundrers and in exploring new opportunities.

You will also lead on the evaluation of our service impact across the organisation, gathering, analysing and presenting data to illustrate the valuable outcomes our services have for at-risk young people.

You will be a key team member in a dynamic and growing organisation and will help ensure the charity achieves its aims and objectives and fulfils its fundraising plan effectively.

These meetings may take place in London, or across our current operating regions (Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Slough, Luton and Milton Keynes).

The Salvation Army is recruiting a Philanthropy Fundraiser for Scotland and Northern Ireland. This role will play an important part in generating income to support the crucial work that the charity does in Scotland.

The position of Philanthropy Fundraiser, Scotland and Northern Ireland will play a key role in developing support from charitable trusts & foundations and major donors in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Key responsibilities: 

• Manage & develop a portfolio of existing and prospective medium sized charitable trusts & foundations across Scotland and Northern Ireland

• Research and identify prospective funders who align with The Salvation Army’s aims and objectives and key strategic funding priorities

Experience and skills: 

• Preferably the successful candidate will have previous experience of fundraising, with a proven record in generating income from trusts & foundations and/or major donors 

• You will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information to donors and colleagues in a clear, effective and professional manner 

• The successful candidate will have the ability to plan, organise and prioritise a varied workload to effectively meet your objectives to the expected quality standards and time scales  

The role is based in Scotland with hybrid working. Ideally the candidate will be based in the Central Belt of Scotland with the ability to access offices in Glasgow or Edinburgh with two days per week being office based. (preferably one of these days based in the Glasgow office)

This is an exciting opportunity to take an active role in supporting the implementation of our fundraising strategy at Groundwork UK.

The Fundraising Assistant will play a key role in supporting Groundwork’s fundraising efforts and helping us achieve income goals. They will assist the fundraising team in developing relationships with supporters and donors and help secure unrestricted voluntary income.

Primary responsibilities will include processing and thanking donations, maintaining database records, building relationships with donors and fundraisers, and generating digital communications, alongside other administrative tasks.

This is an exciting time to be joining Groundwork, as we expand our fundraising team and continue to develop our strategy. As a growing team with varying responsibilities, focus and targets will change from time to time, so a flexible working attitude is required.

It is a great role for someone who has experience in a fundraising environment or has admin experience elsewhere and is looking to break into the sector. Groundwork is in the process of implementing Raiser’s Edge, so experience of using this or a similar CRM system would be valuable.

The charity helps to fund a range of activities and projects that are designed to enhance and improve the lives of our amazing young patients. This includes the funding of specialist medical equipment to ensure our brilliant surgeons and clinical staff have the most up to date and cutting edge technology available and funding hi-tech distraction equipment designed and proven to reduce pain and anxiety in our patients. We also fund a range of programmes and special projects such as our ward musicians, our on-site magician and the play specialists we have on every ward.

Job Purpose:

This role calls for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised person who shares our values. The role will play a vital part in supporting the day-to-day activity of the Community Fundraising Team in undertaking a wide variety of fundraising activities.

Main Duties and Tasks:

Administration

• Support the Community Fundraising Team with the administration of bespoke, third party and donor led events. Including (but not limited to) sending packs and resources out, communication of event information and appropriate thanking.
• Manage the Community Fundraising email inbox.
• Diarise Community Fundraising team meetings, take appropriate minutes and distribute actions.
• Manage the Community Fundraising shared drive and filing system.
• Work with the Community Fundraiser to identify potential Young Ambassadors and create Ambassador Packs.
• Manage the stock control of Community Event Resources.
• Audit and monitor the Charity collection boxes.
• Manage community contacts within the Charity CRM (Salesforce) ensuring they have up to date information.

Stewardship

• Be the first point of contact for on-line giving donors and monitor the online giving platforms including JustGiving and ensure that each donor has relevant communications.
• Manage the donor led event diary, providing appropriate resources where required.

Reporting

• Produce regular financial and fundraising reports on various Community Fundraising Income streams using the Charity CRM (Salesforce).
• Monitor Community Fundraising income and check it’s appropriately coded on Salesforce.

Communication

• Ensure that relevant members of the Community Fundraising Team are aware of on-line fundraising activity.
• Work alongside the Operations and Finance Teams to monitor income.

Other Duties

• Attendance at community fundraising events.
• Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.
• Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.
• Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Charity’s work, priorities and future plans and act as a spokesperson for the Charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate.
• Support the Operations Team when in the office by answering phones and serving on the front desk when the office is busy.
• Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team to provide administrative and event delivery support across all event and fundraising activities. This will include a wide range of admin and support tasks pre-event, onsite and post-event for the BOA’s flagship event, BOA Annual Congress, and other educational, social and fundraising events, both face to face and virtual, delivered by the team. Oasis Southampton City Farm is a community focused registered charity working in Southampton. We provide a range of supportive, wellbeing boosting, and nature-based activities for our communities, which include young people and adult learners with disabilities.

We are looking for sessional farm assistants who will support the Farm Lead in delivering the vision for the farm by supporting the delivery of the farm’s variety of activities, including:

 · To deliver youth activities on the farm, supporting young people to help care for the animals

· To deliver birthday parties on weekends to groups of up to 30,

· To deliver animal experiences, giving families the opportunity to meet and greet our rescued and rehomed animals

· To support our adult day service with caring for our animals

· To support with the animal cleaning and feeding rota, alongside groups or individuals.

About the role

Due to growth and investment in the team, 3 exciting opportunities have arisen to join a lively, dynamic and driven fundraising events team. Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Now has built up a strong events function, with community fundraising and events currently accounting for nearly a quarter of the charity’s overall voluntary income.

We’re now looking for 3 events assistants to play a key role within the team. Supporting the delivery of our varied portfolio of challenge events, currently comprising of walking, running, cycling, swimming and trekking challenges. You’ll engage hundreds of fundraisers, acting as a first point of contact and an ambassador for the organisation to excite and retain our supporters. You’ll also have the opportunity to lead on your own project.

These roles play a vital part in the events team and are perfect for someone getting started in their fundraising career.

About you

We’re looking for 3 individuals with excellent attention to detail and a passion for charity fundraising. An understanding of and experience with administrative tasks such as data entry and working in a fast-paced environment is desirable.

You’ll be a first point of contact with hundreds of our supporters, many of whom will be in touch via email, phone or social media, so an understanding of using these channels and delivering customer service, particularly in the charity sector, is preferable. You should also have a demonstrable ability to work to deadlines and have experience working as part of a team.

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver Day One’s calendar of fundraising events, including challenge and third-party activities.
• Grow opportunities for individuals, teams, and partners to take part in events that raise funds and awareness.
• Manage event logistics, budgeting, risk assessments, and delivery on the day with our preferred suppliers.
• Steward flagship event participants, such as those taking part in the London Marathon and Great North Run.

Awareness & Engagement Events

• Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Officer to plan and deliver awareness and engagement events such as exhibitions, conferences and networking events.
• Lead on all logistics and coordination from venue bookings and set-up to equipment, displays, and volunteer support.
• Represent Day One at events, helping to raise our visibility and strengthen relationships with partners, supporters, and professionals.
• Support the Marketing & Communications Officer with the delivery of campaigns like Major Trauma Awareness Week and other activities that raise Day One’s national profile.

Planning & Delivery

• Develop and maintain event plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring events are efficient and well-organised.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, venues, and event organisers to ensure value for money and quality delivery.
• Review and record event outcomes to support learning, improvement, and future planning.
• Balance multiple projects moving seamlessly from one event to the next or planning ahead for the year-round events calendar.

The Role
We're looking for a passionate and strategic Head of Fundraising & Partnerships to lead our income generation and help us scale our impact across London. This is more than a fundraising role - it's about building a movement for inclusion.

You'll design and deliver a fundraising strategy that secures vital income from trusts, foundations, corporates, and major donors. You'll also forge partnerships that amplify our mission and open doors for the people we serve. Working closely with our CEO and COO, you'll be at the heart of our growth journey.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Officer to join the fundraising team at the Batten Disease Family Association CIO (BDFA).

The BDFA, founded in 1998 is the only patient organisation in the UK for families affected by Batten disease, a rare and terminal neurodegenerative condition that affects children and young adults. The BDFA offers informed guidance and support to families and the professionals who work with them, as well as actively raising awareness, and promoting research into the management of Batten disease to improve patient care pathways and ultimately find a cure.

This is an exciting time to join the charity, which has grown to offer additional support services for families affected by Batten disease and to implementing a long-term strategy to develop its advocacy, education and research capabilities. We’re looking for an individual who has some experience in fundraising, particularly leading on all aspects of community fundraising, developing and nurturing relationships with volunteer fundraising groups and individual supporters. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of our CEO to develop community fundraising maximising the funds raised by volunteer fundraisers and developing supporter engagement. The successful candidate will also work alongside our Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer to support our Trusts and Foundations income generation.

The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:

- Experience in all aspects of community fundraising including events, assisting fundraisers to develop imaginative fundraising ideas and inspiring new supporters to raise funds whilst maintaining relationships with existing supporters

- Experience in building and sustaining long-term relationships with fundraising groups and individual supporters

- Experience in managing effective and creative fundraising communications on social media and the website

- Ability to contribute to the overall Trusts and Foundations income stream, including proactively researching and identifying grant funding opportunities 

- Ability to lead on creative fundraising campaigns around key events such as Batten disease awareness day and Christmas

This job requires a motivated individual who has a passion for all those within our Batten community and a strong desire to support the development and financial growth of the BDFA. The role is full time (35 hours per week) and is home based with occasional travel around the UK to meet donors and support fundraising events.

Our successful candidate will contribute to and implement a three-year Corporate Fundraising Strategy with ambition to raise £1million annually, this will include managing a Corporate Partnership Assistant and implementing effective processes, data management and procedures across the team.  We will also count on you to deliver exceptional account management, meet agreed partnership objectives on programme impact, income, communications and engagement and to provide excellent stewardship to increase value of partnerships, with a 70% renewal rate of partnerships.

Expanding and improving the ways in which we work with corporates to include event sponsorship, payroll giving, volunteering and other relevant non-financial support is also a key aspect of this role, as are developing an engaging and effective volunteering and challenge events programme and developing excellent, high-quality applications, presentations, and pitches to drive high-value and sustainable multi-year income.

• Database management experience

• A good understanding of fundraising best practice and regulations, including Fundraising Regulator guidelines, GDPR and data protection
