About you

We are looking for a values-led, strategic and credible leader who brings:

• Senior leadership experience within social care, housing, homelessness or a closely related sector
• A proven track record of leading multi-site services and managing senior operational leaders

LRMN's Finance Assistant works closely with Finance Manager (FM) to maintain LRMN’s financial records, ensuring that all transactions are accurately and timely recorded to support the FM producing the reporting data for the management accounts and the monthly bank reconciliation.

As Finance Assistant you will:

• Post purchase invoices daily in QuickBooks, aligned with Salesforce records, ensuring PDFs are uploaded and costs correctly allocated

• Process petty cash claims in QuickBooks with supporting receipts, accurate budget allocation, and petty cash reconciliation in liaison with the FM

• Record and post all bank and card expenses monthly in QuickBooks, with receipt/invoice uploads

• Review trade creditors reports with the FM to ensure invoices are captured for weekly payment runs

• Raise sales invoices in QuickBooks as required

• Review trade debtors reports with the FM and monitor timely invoice payments

• Assist and liaise with the FM and CEO as required

Summary Of The Role

The Governance Manager & Executive Assistant plays a pivotal role in ensuring our organisation operates smoothly, transparently, and in line with best practice. You will lead the coordination of Board and Committee governance, managing agendas, papers, minutes, regulatory compliance, and the maintenance of key governance records. You will also support Board recruitment, induction, and development, and help manage core processes such as the governance audit, risk register, and policy oversight.

Alongside this, you will provide high-level executive support to the CEO and Senior Management Team — managing diaries, coordinating meetings, ensuring effective information flow, and handling confidential matters with professionalism. This role suits someone who is highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing both detailed governance tasks and fast-paced executive support, enabling senior leaders to focus on delivering our mission.

Main Areas Of Responsibilities:

1. Governance & Compliance Management

• Support the Board and SMT with a complete governance audit and coordinate actions from the resulting governance action plan.
• Support the CEO and SMT with the day-to-day management of Board and Committee business.
• Prepare and manage agendas, papers, and minutes, ensuring all documentation is accurate and circulated within required timeframes.
• Oversee governance compliance, regulatory adherence, and alignment with best practice.

Neighbourhood Housing Project Lead (Sheffield and Scunthorpe)

Fixed term (18-months), full-time post, 40 hours per week (1 FTE), inclusive of breaks

Building Tomorrow – Neighbourhood Housing Project Lead

Oasis exists to build stronger communities where there is no one left out. Building Tomorrow is an innovative new neighbourhood housing programme that Oasis is developing in Sheffield and Scunthorpe.

We are pioneering a new community-led solution to housing challenges in two communities where Oasis already works, running five schools and two community Hubs. We are working to develop quality housing that offers opportunity for families to find a stable and supportive place of belonging in community.

The programme will combine quality housing, excellent education (provided through Oasis academies), and community wrap-around support (delivered through our existing youth and community teams). This programme is designed to offer a preventative approach to housing challenges, acting as a proof of concept that can be replicated in other communities around the country. 

This role will act as the central point of coordination which will ensure Building Tomorrow moves successfully from initiation to full activation over the initial 18-month period. In the activation period, we will purchase and refurbish the 20 properties, and this role will work in close coordination with our property consultants. As properties are purchased, we will begin to move into the delivery phase, where we start to house families.

What will you do?

The key areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:

· To act as the main link between all stakeholders: the Oasis teams including academies; contractors; and any community partners. To make sure everyone is communicating effectively and working toward the same goal.

· To work in close collaboration with Oasis Community Leaders in Sheffield and Scunthorpe. To support the Community Leaders and wider community teams to welcome families by acting as a key part of the community support offer through the 18-month activation phase.

· To own the 18-month master plan. This will involve tracking progress, analysing potential delays, and proactively solving problems so the activation stays on time and on budget.

· To focus on transitioning the housing element from a period of acquisition and refurbishment into functioning homes. This includes everything from smooth resident move-ins to ensuring the community support is fully accessible.

· To work alongside colleagues in the Operations Group to design operational processes including the community support offer, housing management systems, and tenancy arrangements. 

· To help the team set clear, achievable goals for the activation period and then track whether those goals are being met, providing regular, honest updates to all stakeholders.

· To support the Group CEO in liaising with our social investor.

We are looking for a Partnerships Engagement Officer to join us at this exciting stage in Settle’s development. We're looking for someone with experience of verging or similar church support work. Good social skills are essential as is the ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.  The ability to work closely with and relate well to all Cathedral staff, ministry team, congregation, volunteers, visitors, and members of the general public will also be required. 

The two Assistant Vergers and Precinct Officers carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of the Head Verger and Precinct Manager.  Work includes: the careful setting up and delivery of all liturgical matters; ensuring a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all working in, visiting, or using the Cathedral and Cathedral House and precinct and ensuring the day-to-day smooth running of the Cathedral for all.

Essential experience and skills

• A flexible attitude and willingness to take on a range of duties including practical ‘hands- on’ work.
• Attention to detail and an ability to assess priorities including when under pressure.
• Understanding of liturgy or willingness to learn.
• Ability to be a good team player and work collaboratively with Ministry Team and Lay Staff.
• Good administrative and IT skills.
• Good communication and social skills.
• Good understanding of the importance of managing security and health and safety.
• Have an open and welcoming attitude to all including volunteers and members of the general public.
• A trained First Aider (or willing to be trained upon appointment to an appropriate level).
