This varied and rewarding role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in events and stakeholder coordination within a national medical membership organisation. About the role

This role supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of ABN events such as conferences, webinars, and training sessions, ensuring smooth logistics for both virtual and in-person activities. Key responsibilities include managing delegate and speaker administration, maintaining accurate event records, preparing event materials, and handling post-event feedback and reporting. The position also provides general administrative support, assists with website updates, sponsorship information, and CPD requirements, while ensuring accurate membership and event history records are maintained.

• Previous experience (voluntary or paid) in an administrative, customer service, or eventsrelated role.

Duties and key responsibilities

Fundraising Support

• Provide administration and operational support across the fundraising team.
• Respond promptly and professionally to fundraising enquiries via post, email, and phone, offering support, guidance and thanking donors and fundraisers.
• Develop excellent and enduring relationships with current and potential supporters.
• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to supporters.

• Liaise with suppliers, process orders, and ensure smooth fulfilment of orders.

About you

You will be a proactive and collaborative individual with a keen interest in building safety and compliance.

You will have:

• Experience or exposure to building safety, compliance, property or related environments
• Knowledge of fire safety and building safety principles
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders
• Good IT skills and experience using multiple systems to manage data and records
• A relevant Building Safety qualification or willingness to work towards one

About the Role 

This is a key support role within the Foundation, providing high-quality coordination and executive support to the Strategy, Impact and Innovation and Income directorates. 

As Personal Assistant and Directorate Coordinator, you will work closely with Directors and their teams to ensure priorities are well organised, meetings and activity are effectively coordinated, and follow-up is delivered. You will play a central role in enabling the smooth running of two busy directorates, supporting planning, logistics and day-to-day operations. 

This is a varied and proactive role that goes beyond traditional administrative support. You will coordinate activity across teams, support senior-level meetings and engagement, and help improve systems and ways of working across the organisation. You will also deputise for the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive when required, supporting continuity across the Senior Leadership Team. 

About You 

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused individual with experience providing high-quality administrative or PA support in a busy environment. 

You will be confident managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings and supporting senior colleagues, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively. 

You will bring strong communication and organisational skills, alongside good judgement and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment.

This is a permanent role paying a salary of £32,929 per annum. The postholder will be working in a hybrid model from their offices in Victoria, London.

The Individual Giving and Supporter Care Assistant will be responsible for processing supporter donations, answering supporter queries on email, in writing, and over the phone. You will also be assisting the Individual Giving Manager with their work, process invoices, and maintain filing systems for supporter correspondence & records.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal communication and phone manner and confidence in communicating with a wide range of people at all levels. They are looking for someone with good written communication skills, with a fluent writing style and good knowledge and practical use of the English language.
